How long does it take for a SIM to come from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. There is an error on the tracking information. I went to the local post office and the rep says the package is lost but instead of identifying it as lost it's stuck on our for delivery. I called into Tello twice and got Laura both times. All she does is go to the tracking information and says "it's out for delivery you have to wait" the 1st time I said sure but she ran that me again and despite every effort to explain that the post office lost it she won't send me another sim. Oh and don't try asking for a supervisor. What gives?
I was helping an elderly friend today to purchase a Tello plan and another friend gave me a referral link and I forgot to use it. Is it too late to apply it? Thanks!
I was checking my phone's compatibility with Tello's online checker, and after entering my IMEI, it says it is. However, I want to be absolutely sure, so I looked around some more...
According to https://tello.com/help_center/will-my-phone-work-with-tello, it states that the device must, at a minimum, support LTE bands 2, 4, and 12. Does anyone know if your phone is missing one of those bands, if it still will work? My phone is a POCO X3 Pro - LTE bands 2 and 4 are supported, but not 12.
Just wanted to be sure, since the online compatibility checker and the FAQ don't match 100%...
Thanks!
I have a Tello eSIM and a foreign phisical SIM on my SM-S918U1 which I purchased basically for this dual SIM purpose of using Wifi Calling from Tello via foreign SIM's data while I'm overseas. But it doesn't work. Wifi Calling works with real Wifi but not via data shared by foreign SIM.
In SIM Manager "Data Switching and Backup Calling" is enabled. I tried setting either one of the other SIM as primary - that didn't help. I tried a foreign phisical SIM from another provider - same thing. When I insert this foreign SIM into another phone (Galaxy S10+) to use as wifi access point connecting this SM-S918U1 to it - still no wifi calling. It only works when connected to a "normal" wifi.
Is Tello's wifi calling supposed to work via Data from the other SIM on SM-S918U1 ? Or is this feature blocked on all Galaxy phones?
Please help, I desperately need this to work. Thanks!
I'm in Mexico and I can't get a data connection. My partner's T-Mobile phone is getting good LTE support so it's either a Tello or s configuration problem. But I've tried everything I can think of, double checked settings
Plus I can't call Tello from here
Can someone give me some help?
I got my number ported yesterday, after I git successful message I called my wife and she saw the number ported correctly. However today when I texted a friend it was displaying the number prior to porting. How long it takes to reflect my ported number in SMS? ITS been 24 hours
I recently switched to Tello wireless, and am attempting to enter my address so that I can enable WiFi calling. Every time I enter my address in the form, I get an error indicating,
"The address you’ve entered is not correct. Please edit it and try again".
The address I am entering is most definitely accurate. In case the USPS address is what's being cross-referenced, I have tried copying and pasting my email in that format from the USPS, and that does not work either. Can someone please help?
So I have a pixel 7 pro. Switch from T-Mobile to tello via esim. Reading above voicemail tab in Google dial app, and noticed it missing. Cleared cashe and data, and voicemail tab came back... Only to disappear a few hours later. Went so far as to wipe my phone (interesting side note I had voicemail transcription for a little bit, before esim fully kicked in). Updated all apps and voicemail tab vanished again. Reading other forums, and someone noted that the latest update to dial app made the voicemail tab vanish. So I rolled back the update (via uninstalling dial app) and voicemail tab came back again and has stayed all day.
Tldr: if voicemail tab is missing uninstall dial app (which just uninstalls updates) and see if the voicemail tab comes back. If this does work, you will want to turn off automatic update on dial app.
I’m allowed 100 minutes a month, if I use up 50 minutes. Do I get 50 additional minutes in the next month? So 150?
Hey everyone - just switched to Tello from Mint Mobile to try out a new provider and maybe save a couple bucks in the mean time.
Overall, the process was very easy, and so far I haven't had any issues except for visual voicemail.
When I go to my phone app --> settings --> voicemail, the option is "off" and it won't let me turn it on. There's text below it that says
The carrier may not support visual voicemail
Going to phone settings --> calling accounts --> call forwarding, the options "When busy/unanswered/unreachable" are all set to +18056377249
which seems to have worked for some people here
Anything else I can try?
Is anybody considering joining Tello ?
I have an Indian sim card but my phone isn't eSim compatible. Can I use a Tello sim to send/recieve texts and calls to my phone?
Btw, I do have an Indian sim card in my phone.
I have tmobile and am considering a switch to telllo.
I live overseas and keep the T-Mobile account alive for receiving 2FA SMS.
Also, and unrelated to 2FA, there are some US banks (CapitalOne, in particular) that geo-block IP’s from my location. As such, I can’t log in to the bank website or use their app when I am connected through a local SIM or WiFi. Using a VPN doesn’t help - the bank detects and blocks access by VPN.
The only solution I have found is to use my T-Mobile roaming data when I need to access the bank - because it shows an American IP address.
Can someone please confirm if Tello data roaming will always show an American IP address?
For example, if you are roaming with Tello and go to www.whatismyip.com does it show a US IP or a foreign IP?
Thanks!
I bought a Tello plan while in Brazil, but I couldn’t activate it at all. I tried to do it on an iPhone 14 PM. I tried everything—airplane mode, using a US VPN, and even called Tello support, but they didn’t help much. They just regenerated the eSIM, and I still couldn’t activate it. Well, for now, I’ve given up.
PS1: I’m on iOS 18.1
PS2: the error that I’m experiencing is “unable to activate the eSIM”, and although I need to do it through Wi-Fi calling, the iPhone doesn’t allow me to install the eSIM first and activate it later. I believe that’s why I’m having issues, since the Wi-Fi calling setup requires an eSIM.
Is there any coupon for new customers ? Tried some coupons found online but none worked, Thank you
Hi,
Anybody here got a coupon for new customer to sign up?
Thank you in advance.
The visual voicemail on my Pixel 6A is out.
Nothing Tello has told me to do works. Anybody manage to fix this?
So I am a us citizen based abroad and need a us phone number for 2FA but I got refunded so went to support. They said:
They told me to call them but I cannot make calls to the us so I’m feeling stuck any help would be appreciated
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. My Device: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra unlocked. I am moving from the US to Europe next week. I have ported my Verizon number over to a new Tello Account and have it currently active on ESIM slot 1. The goal is to be able to use this number as needed (mostly texting) via wifi calling once I arrive and purchase a local sim card (or esim). The local sim will have a local phone number and data plan of the country I am moving to. Most likely Vodafone. I have noticed on my s24 that the Dual SIM Always On function is greyed out. So my question is more verification that once I insert a local Call/Data SIM in Europe that the tello esim will also function so I can use the data sim to allow Tello to work. Doest that function need to be turned on? Thanks for any advice.
Hello. I have two identical phones, both US retail unlocked Moto G Stylus phones from 2023. Both IMEIs pass the checker. My main number and phone is on Spectrum Mobile (Verizon), with a free line promo for 12 months.
The other phone is a backup phone, with no SIM in it, wifi only, but my Spectrum Internet is on seasonal status, so I can't use my Internet/Wifi on it right now. I was thinking about getting a second number on Tello for that phone, and doing the bare minimum of 100 minutes and 1 GB for $6, as a backup line.
I have some questions...
Q1: I've been hearing conflicting info as to how much a SIM really costs, some say $3, some say $2, some say $10, another said they got it for free.
Q2: Regarding getting a SIM from Amazon, the only method of payment I have is a Netspend (Visa) debit card, but I've heard that Amazon doesn't accept that as a payment option? If not, I guess I can still order from Tello.
Q3: I'm assuming that Tello has the same access to the 5G SA network, and VoNR, (if VoNR is available in the area), since they use T-Mobile's network? My phones support all of that.
Q4: I know I have to start an account with a new number, before I can actually port, but do I have to port right after activation? I was thinking about getting a new number, but I may want to port my main number out of Spectrum Mobile to Tello several months down the road, could I do that?
Thanks!
Thanks for the Great customer service Tello!
So far it has been quick, friendly, and very helpful.
That means a lot to your customers.
(I have no affiliation with Tello other than being a satisfied customer who has dealt with other companies that waste a lot of customers time)

My SIP (Voip) provider does not support IPv6. When I try to disable IPv6 in APN settings, the Tello APN profile is not editable. How do I disable APv6 ?
Galaxy S23 Ultra, latest updates.
I want to know that I do not need to add the international roaming plan. I only want to be able to keep my US number for authentications and the occasional phone call back to the US. Would someone be kind enough to confirm?
Also, I have a few other questions:
Thank you!
I have been with Tello for over 5 years. My data has always worked fine. I have the unlimited plan. In the past three months, I've been using more data so I have had to add on data when it starts to slow down. Usually it would slow down once the plan reached 10gb out of the 30gbs. Last month, I ended up spending $40 on add on data, when my usual unlimited plan is $26. This month when my plan renewed, the data was completely slowed after using only 5gb! Its to the point that I turn off cellular use for all apps and my google maps still will not load...its so frustrating and I am thinking of just switching to a new network. Has anyone else had this issue?
