So I moved to Canada without my family around two years ago and I'm slowly forgetting how to read and write Farsi, even noticing how I speak Farsi has gotten a bit weird. How do others who have moved out of Iran manage to prevent that from happening? I don't have my family to regularly speak Farsi with anymore and it's really getting on my nerves. I struggle with reading and comprehending basic Farsi text. The reason I specify without my family is because I'm just 19 years old and moved back when I was 17, not a fully grown man
The Israeli attack on Iran is an excellent case study of media manipulation. It is actually really interesting. Let's be honest - it was a failed attack. But if you open the news from Western media, they are making outrageous and dishonest claims of Israel having wiped out Iran's air defense with their 100 jets that were flown in by the heroic air force, firing dozens of missiles and precisely striking Iranian targets.
Yeah... that didn't happen. There is real analyses and data that is now coming out of Iran. Not a single Israeli jet even entered Iranian airspace. They fired a series of missiles from far outside of Iranian airspace. Not many landed. The ones directed at Tehran were 100% intercepted and that is a fact supported not only by satellite imagery but the fact that there is no footage of any strikes, no explosions, no damage. I think in the other phase of the attack, a few might have caused damage in Khuzestan. It seems any other damage was done by quadcopters that were likely internally operated. There are now reports that some of the war planes aborted because an unexpected air defense system locked onto them. Yet somehow they destroyed all of Iran's air defense. Laughable propaganda. The fact that they used 100 war planes supported by various American drones and did minimal damage is quite embarrassing. But you have to remember their plan was never to really cause a large amount of damage anyway, their plan was to cause some damage and have it exaggerated in the media, which we are now observing. This is called an act of desperation after there was clear footage of Israel's Iron Dome being embarrassed with dozens of Iranian missiles striking targets in Israel. The media, run by these lobbies, is saving face. Sure, Western audiences and Fox News enjoyers will eat up every bit of it but that's how these things go.
I don't think Iran will do a significant response, personally. My prediction is Trump will become president and Israel will make a ceasefire with Hezbollah. They will probably continue to bomb Gaza for some time at a slower rate.
So given all that, with polls appearing tight (even though I think it will be a blow out), your vote WILL matter. And I urge you to vote!!!
What do you think about our relations with the gulf states? It seems like all of them are warming up to Iran for whatever reason? Despite this sounding delusional I hope they pressure them into dropping the mandatory hijab rules, etc, etc
Why do you think they are warming up now? And what do you think about them? I don’t really trust them.
We have opened up our Discord server to non-referred users again, and we hereby invite the users of this community who have not yet joined to do so.
Our Discord server is a place with much stricter measures against bots, raids, and Zios, and we discuss all sorts of topics related to Iran but you will also find extensive daily updates and discussions on the ongoing Zio genocide in Occupied Palestine, as well as international affairs and even more casual chats between the users.

Reminder that if you are supporting Israel just because you hate the IR or whatever other reason, you are on the wrong side of history, and years from now when this genocide against the Palestinians becomes widely accepted and condemned after the fall of the lobby, you will have to live with the guilt of having been a Nazi/fascist sympathizer. Israel's aggression against Iran is an extension of their greater project to neutralize their enemies to allow their expansion in the region. They don't want to stop at Gaza and Lebanon.
I’m looking to ship spices (saffron) out of Iran. Does anyone here have experience with shipping spices? Does anyone here have access to saffron? What is the average cost of saffron in Iran?
Thank you! Any information is helpful!
I would argue, the attack, though not as significant and powerful as what we came to expect due to Israel's boasting, may have had some important consequences for Iran,
Even if the air defense forces had 100% fended off the attack (which didn't happen), the attack broke the long standing taboo of doing a full scale operation against Iranian interests within Iranian soil and taking credit for it,
The extent of the damages sustained by Iran are still under investigation or at least not publicly known, and though it is likely they were minimal, we don't know that for sure, but we do know that at least 4 soldiers from the air defense forces were martyred which is sad by itself, but also means there's a reasonable suspicion that the air defense equipment such as batteries and radars that they were operating close to were also hit, these are high value assets,
Iran's adherence to the NPT in a region surrounded by nuclear armed peers and adversaries has brought Iran enough trouble already, and now a limited response on Iran's behalf, or worse, no response at all, could be the beginning of a terrible trend and would call Iran's deterrence against any threat into question,
What website do you guys use to find good photographers for headshots and professional photos?
I stumbled upon his YT channel called Jedaal and enjoyed his videos. What do y'all think about his politics and where does he fall on the spectrum? My dad says he is a nationalist first and communist second.
I brought 2 phones into Iran and registered the IMEI of one phone but the gomrok is too high. I have another phone that will likely be cheaper, how do I register the IMEI so that I can pay the gomrok. I can't find the link to register the IMEI which I know is best done at the airport when you first land.
Qassem Soleimani or Masih Alinejad?
Hello, my dear Iranian readers.
Ive lived in America for almost my entire life, 29 years old.
I have lived here for 24 years.
I live in the south.
I hope this read will wake some of you up.
As an Iranian, I realize our struggles with racism are interestingly politically motivated. Let’s study African American history. For example, Malcolm X warned blacks not to fall to the white liberal’s political schemes. We too can learn from brother Malcolm, that we need to write our own book instead of hanging on to any white person’s pant leg to “save us.”
THEY ARE NOT FOR US. We also need to stop being Anti-Black, consciously, or sub-consciously. We do it subconsciously by co signing with our white conservative friends and wanting acceptance, and this makes them feel vindicated in how they think and vote, and continues right wing hate to minorities in general. On the flip side, having an expectation the white liberal is educated about the middle east is false, as the political motivation for liberal left movements is often a hunger for power and suppression of free speech guised as sympathy for minority groups.
Many Iranians who come to the USA will align with white people, be pro-Shahist diasporans, and be anti-Islamic, and xenophobic, pro Zoroastrian.
However, the truth Ive realized is this: White people either
a) dont even know where Iran or what Iran is
b) dont care to really know
Conservatives classify us as all ARABS and no matter what we do, we have to be treated like outsiders
Liberals aren’t educated as you may think, often equating the middle east as a monolithic peoples. Like , I often get asked “do you speak Arabic?” or “What is Iran, do you mean Iraq?”
Education in America is bad, like real bad. Most classes teach Greek and Roman civilization, and forego Persian history.
At work, Ive realized that no matter how hard we try to “blend in” we will always be seen as “them”
Most white people group us with blacks and other minorities. White people don’t share knowledge as openly, are insecure or paranoid about us, and often will continue to equate us as 2nd class citizens.
So far all you pro white trump supporters clinging to his pant coats praying for a cleansing of Iran’s mullahs, please dont hold your breath and have some self respect.
White people don’t want to, nor do they care enough, and even if they did, out of ego and hate want to help us. We need to take matters into our own hands.
We are still “Arabs” to most Americans. Most Americans don’t even know about the diversity of the Middle east.
We are grouped with the blacks, often assigned work in corporate with black and other minority groups, cause white folks dont want to work with blacks themselves, they send us in cause even though most of us are white passing, or consider ourselves white, we dont get that privilege of being first class citizens
Dont be naive reader, we are NOT going anywhere hoping to build allies with Euro or white peoples.
I gave up, and realized how fruitless it was to try to be fit in. They literally view us all as Muslim Arabs, and dont have enough education or fair mindedness to really research our culture.
okay so i'm asking this genuinely does anyone else have aunts, uncles, grandparents anyone in their family that married their cousin???
I recently found out that my grandparents were first cousins and also my aunt and uncle are first cousins!
is this normal?
Gonna get to it quick. The situation regarding all iranian focused subreddits are abhorrent. Its either blatant islamaphobia and dispora or radical nationalism and borderline fascist propaganda.
ProIran is a shitshole full of borderline psychotic nationalists with extreme right wing views. Full of just government propaganda and ragebait.
NewIran is no better. Just post after post calling for death or destruction. Meaningless attempts at trying to look left leaning but they just end up spewing the dogshit made in those god aweful iran news channels like BBC Persian or Iran International.
I dont care if theyre all just trolls or kids or misguided or whatever else. These are the top results when you search iran in reddit. This does not look good at all.
I dont care what stance you have regarding the recent events in iran, Believe me i have my own but whetever it is, these echo chambers arent the place to discuss them.
Iranian leftism is dead. Iranian nationalist are stupid.
If youre reading this and are subbed to either one of these subs. Please depopulate these places. Dont let them be our legacy on this retarded app.
