Right now, I just give my iPad a good wipe with a screen cleaner and microfiber cloth and also clean the case, but I feel like I’m not doing enough. Any help is appreciated!
I need suggestion !
Mainly use for travel
Owning both , I worry I spend too much cost on this.
Currently owning iPhone 15 pro.
I have a landscape game I want to stream to YouTube and capture. I’ve tried Prism, Stream Labs but the output is 4:3 Square format not 16:9.
Is there some app that allows a 1080p 16:9 Widescreen format live stream of my iPad screen? I don’t need additional features like chat and overlay etc.
I’ve got an iPad Air with M1 chip.
So yes, as the title states. I found an iPad in a box of stuff from one of my old roommates. I told him I found his iPad, but he says it’s not his. I asked another old roommate who was a friend of his. He says it’s not his either and to sell it.
It has an account on it, but I can’t get the full email off of it to reach the owner. I paired it up to the WiFi, in some hopes that somebody looking for it might reach out to us. It’s been about a month now. It’s sort of an older tablet, with the physical button, but it’s a mini. It would be great to pair up with my OBD2 reader for my car, for live engine data - as well as a backup tablet for ForeFlight, in case my main one dies while flying.
Is there any way to wipe this thing through normal channels? It’s not a huge deal, but I don’t know a lot about this. I’ve tried a factory reset by downloading iTunes on my PC, but it’s still “locked”
Long story short: found an old iPad in my room, none of the past roommates are claiming it - idk how to make use of it
How to use it Like a MacBook in terms, organizing pictures, different formats of files (spreadsheets, word doc, slides, PDFs, notes)?
How do you organize Personal vs work stuff?
I have had access to iPad for the past 10 years or so but I just got annoyed how I couldn’t use it like a MacBook in terms of file directory and having to have separate app for everything I need to do so never really tried to use it as my primary device after trying it for like 6 months, 10 years ago.
Now that my life & career, family is coming along and requires me to be a well organized person, I would like to use an iPad as a “take everywhere, do everything on it” device. Hence looking for tips, inspirations, suggestions, advice, recommendations, help.
Thanks:)

I just got this ipad from my brother who no longer use it. After using it for several hours, i see a brownish spot on the edge of this screen. Is this lcd burn? Should I be worried? And does this affect performance? The device stays cool tho so im quite sure theres no battery problems. Thanks for the help everyone!
Howdy. I just got an iPad and use discord quite frequently, was hoping to use it on my iPad as well. It seems whenever i try to open the app it just loads forever. Does anyone else use discord and face the Same issue? Is there a resolution to this?
I’m confused. My iPad charges fine on this same cable indoors. It doesn’t work in my car. It’s labeled 3.1 amp.
Help!
I did some research and most advise I see is to get a M1 chip iPad instead of an Android tablet if I plan to use it for mobile gaming 70% of the time. I initially wanted a Galaxy Tab S9 but suddenly remember I'll be playing a lot of rhythm game and I got afraid that I'll break the AMOLED screen even with screen protector because of the pressure. This will also be my first time using an iOS device but I won't mind cause I plan to use my phone and tablet for very different purposes.
When i add a decent amount of pressure, my iPad starts to make a clicking sound like something is being unstuck and restuck. Just randomly started happening yesterday. Sounds like adhesive that melted. I put my ipad in the same pocket as my mac yesterday so do you think the laptop melted the adhesive? This is the iPad pro m1 11 inch. Is there anyway i can get it to stop?
Last week in the classroom my iPad Pro was frozen as it was projecting. I turned it off and then it wouldn’t mirror. The message said it can’t connect.
I’ve turned it on and off. I’ve put the Apple TV to sleep multiple times. Both devices are up to date. I thought I’ll unpair and then start over. I unpaired and re-paired and it still won’t let me connect.
The Apple TV still works; I can use my media and connect my Bluetooth speaker. My iPad works with the dongle and will project when tethered.
➡️Should I try backing up my iPad, wipe it, reload and try again?
Any advice would be welcome.
FYI - I own both devices, not the school. I asked the tech guy and he tried a few things too with the sign ins, etc. but he said that shouldn’t be the issue.

Looking online this seems to be a common problem with no fix
Got a white Magic Keyboard for my iPad Pro 12.9 (5th gen)
And it gets dirty very easily :(
Any covers or cases for the keyboards?
Or best way to get it back spotless white like new?
I have an Ipad Pro 4th Gen. I pulled my Ipad out and suddenly was confronted with this bar on the lock screen. I can still unlock the Ipad due to face id. Didn't do anything to special with it before, was just reading something. I can neither close or move this around, can't interact with things behind this bar either. I can only scroll up and down on it. I tried google'ing the issue but found nothing.
I'm so confused which one I should get.
Refurbished iPad Pro 11 128gb(3rd gen) $639
IPad Pro 11 128g(4th gen-latest one) 799
iPad Air 5-256gb -7.49
Im a student and mostly use for notes and recordings --Netflix etc
My kids will use for games sometimes
I had the first gen iPad pro and loved it but the screen cracked and bc I mostly take notes on it , didn't want to risk replacing it and it giving me issues.
I like the color of the air and the storage
But I feel like the pro is better value? Will it last longer? Idk
What games are you playing on your iPad? Any recommendations?
but skip Freefire, PUBG, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Township, Pokémon Unite, and Minecraft.
What’s the year of my iPad?
It’s mind boggling to me how my iPad can act as a second screen to my Macbook at any point of time. Not sure if y’all knew that, but they automatically know they are next to each other ther and sync together. Crazy useful for a student like me.
Looking to get either the iPad Air (5th gen) or the iPad (10th gen) and wondering if it would be better to wait or go for it now… it’s not an immediate need and would hate to buy one just to have a newer model come out!
Thanks in advance!
I am looking to buy a sealed 1st gen apple pencil, but when I checked the serial number online the manufacture date was 2018. I'm concerned that there would be issues with the battery as I have read online about batteries dying if they aren't charged regularly, but I'm not sure if that also applies to ones that have never been used. Is it likely that the pencil will be dead?
I'm looking for something that I can use long term as a student. Mostly, for reading, note taking and drawing (just a hobby). Both almost have the same price which is why I'm torn between samsung and apple.
Most of my friends says to choose apple something because of the software update. All my classmates are using apple which I think is great for sharing files and such.
I own an S22.
Hi, i use Baseus Smooth Writing 2 (Apple Pencil 2 dupe) with iPad Air 5gen., lately when im writing or drawing something it makes weird spaces between the lines. Is the iPad faulty or the pencil?
Currently running a model A2013, bought in the summer of 2019. Other than the battery starting to slip a little, it’s working fine.
Given that it has some trade in value, wondering if it’s worth it to upgrade to a newer iPad.
I use it as the daily computing device. Really like the Face ID unlock; which I know is only available in the iPad Pro versions.
Will I notice a significant improvement worth the cost to upgrade to the current iPad Pro models?
Thanks in advance.
Hi I have an iPad 7 and I would want to transfer all my data(apps and settings) to my new iPad 9
My current iPad is on IOS 17.2.1 and has a full backup on iCloud. However, I still can't successfully complete the transfer!
This is what always happens:
I've also tried the Icloud backup method but it tells me It can't transfer backups that arent up to date with 17.2 even though my backup is from today and like I said I've been on 17.2 since the release of the update
What should I do? Am I doing something wrong? I don't rlly want to start my iPad 9 from 0 since I want all my data like on my iPad ...
Thank you for reading!
