I understand this is just for Apple TV and my post is regarding the application but there is no where to post on here and I can’t get any information regarding this even with Apple
No voice audio
I have a Firestick max and when I open my Apple TV app it only plays sound like music etc no voice audio.
I have however found a fix and if I turn off my Dolby atmos on my TV it comes back. What can this be and is there any fixes for it as my whole point in buying a TV with Dolby atmos was to use the Dolby atmos 😧
Since 17.4, new episodes stop appearing in Up next. Everything is frozen to whatever episode I watched before the upgrade. I can add new shows from ATV but not from other streamers.
Anyone else experienced this?
ATV 4K 1st generation
Hello all, I have an Onkyo TX-ST333(yes, a bit old, it is 4k!), Samsung QN65, Apple TV 4K gen. 2. Everything is connected with a HDMI cable. Since we cancelled FUBO TV, we want to an over-air antenna. When we would change from the Apple TV to antenna or vice versa, the Onkyo would switch from Set Top Box to TV with the HDMI, all under the one HDMI input being used. I since was out of town for work, my wife and daughter got home, turned everything on, nothing worked the way it did. I have since defaulted the TV, Onkyo, and Apple TV. I cannot get it to work the way it did. Not an issue for me personally, my wife is not as technically patient however. Any ideas are appreciated!
With atv4k till yesterday while seeking video in any apps including Apple TV ,I could see video thumbnails and seeking was fast..today i observed it’s missing and only by hard press of click wheel it’s moving forward..in increments of 1x 2x 3x and 4x..any solution to this bug ???
I’ve had my Apple TV 4K for maybe two months now. No issues at all with it up until yesterday. I’m not sure what happened, if anything, because I was helping my father-in-law install our new appliances.
The issue is that anytime I now turn the TV off with the Apple TV remote. It won’t turn it back on. Even if I use the TV remote and switch it to the appropriate HDMI output, Apple TV module is not turned on.
So far the only thing I am doing is unplugging the module and then plugging it back in (power cord). Then it suddenly works as normal again until the TV gets turned off.
Had a little search but it’s difficult to find something relating to what I’m after.
Is it possible to have an Apple TV box serving two TVs at the same time? It doesn’t need to be playing on both TVs at the same time though, just one of the two.
For example, sometimes I’ll want to watch a movie from it on the main tv and the second tv won’t be in use.
And sometimes I’ll want to have sport playing on the second tv from the Apple TV box, while playing a game on the main tv from my Xbox.
Both TVs would be side by side. I’ve not bought the second yet, as I’m figuring out what the setup would need to be, so any advice on the best way to do it would be welcome.
Tried to connect to connect to Surfshark on my Apple TV 4K 3rd gen but whenever I try to connect it gives me a "No Network Detected" error. I have already tried to go to Settings > Network > Surfshark.WireGuard > Connection Details > Delete VPN. I have also tried uninstalling the app, restarting the Apple TV but nothing has worked till now. Please help me sort this issue
At this point I have tried everything but a reset of the device. I plan on doing it today and if it doesn't help permanently I'll just send it back under the warranty.
At first it was just sound dropping out every few minutes for a few seconds. That can be prevented by having ATV downmix all sound to 5.1 or stereo but that butchers the sound, makes everything sound like it's coming out of a tin can.
And yesterday it just didn't load almost any content, and if it did it played at the lowest resolution. Didn't matter if over wifi or ethernet, my 100 Mbps connection (measured) was not enough. A reboot was the only way to make it play at least something. But as soon as I switched wifi/ethernet it didn't play anything again. ATV itself was not reporting any connectivity issues, not sure if it does that though.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Hi! My dog was laying on my remote and pushed a bunch of buttons. Eventually my screen went dark and now the Apple TV keeps flashing and won’t come back on. I unplugged it for an hour and it’s still flashing. Any ideas?
i am looking to switch to the newest AppleTV device from FireTV. has anyone made the switch? im looking to do this especially already having apple devices. i had originally got the firetv because at the time i liked their remotes vs other devices but AppleTv looks like decent remote, an can can't volume of audi system? turn off/on all devices?
For some reason, the TV app isn’t showing me anything recent that I’ve been watching on Max or Hulu, is anyone else’s Up Next feed also bugged right now?
It’s an apple tv 4k with ethernet. I don’t even eat or drink in here. I don’t think it’s under warranty anymore. Is it possible to fix it myself? How much is a new remote? Thanks.
Apple support couldnt answer this, so throwing this out for anyone who has travelled with thei Apple Tav device or may have the direct experience to know…
ya know the internet connections at hotels, or airports, some cafes, etc where it doesn’t connect right away and you get the popup window asking for your name & email to get access… are The Apple TV devices compatible with those types of setups?
i‘ve kinda been assuming they wouldn’t have the capability for those browser-type popup in the same way you get them on computer or mobile devices, though basing my assumption on how older models of Apple TV worked - and given the Apple support guy said people do travel with their Apple TV devices, guessing perhaps they may have upgraded for this functionality. But want to make sure before buying…
Watching the sympathizer and a movie this week and all of a sudden it seems like all background effects / music / VO sounds clear, but dialogue is super muffled and low, almost like people are speaking under water. Any one notice this or have a solution? I’m playing sound out of a first gen Apple home pod.
I've had this issue before and then it stopped so I'm assuming it's a fault. Has anyone else had this issue? A bunch of films were on my watch next list today - via the AppleTV box, that I never added and Annie was a quarter of the way through. I haven't watched that film via Apple. You need a code to sign in which you can only get via my phone.
My small indie studio developed this game for iOS a long time ago. We're contemplating revitalizing it for Apple TV since we think there are not many fun local multiplayer games suitable for the whole family on this platform. The game features two teams engaging in Capture the Flag, with ship control via the gyro of your iPhone or controller.
I'd appreciate your honest opinion on whether this concept interests you. We're considering pricing it between $10 and $15 to ensure viability.
I googled the movie title, apple TV said its available. I registered but it's not available in my region. I which region can I watch it? Apparently not in the US either. I'm kinda angry that I registered for this movie and it's not even there.
Why is Apple starting release only HD ? Same with John Wick 4. Amazon have it in 4k
At the moment we have AppleTV (hardware), AppleTV (app) and AppleTV+ (service). While it makes sense to have TV as an hub for streaming apps and TV+ as one of the streaming services, it’s kinda confusing to have the app and the hardware with the same name. You could argue that the TV box has a long history and would be better to rename the service, but honestly the latter needs more traction and a known name is better for the job, while the HomePod family needs a broader diffusion on the market and adding a big seller to it would probably help to sell more speakers as a bundle for better audio. What do you think?
Britbox won’t play in Australia with a VPN operating.
It’s okay that I have ADHD but it’s not okay AirPlay has it too 😂
Whenever I’m air playing a video, it wants to play sounds combined with the video that’s air playing. It lets literally any advertisement take the wheel. Trying to play games on Delta at the same time the audio merges.
As the title I was looking for few games which can be played with 2 players locally in ATV . I don't want to subscribe for the arcade plan.
One game I found was Air wings , its a flying battle game with a paper rocket. Unfortunately, local multiplayer option is not available on it.
I could hand this over to automod but I need recommendations too lol
