I have been writing notes (using Apple Pencil) on a large pdf (book), and now suddenly the whole book became white pages, no text whatsoever, other than what I wrote on it using the pencil. HELP!!! I have been writing my summary of many paragraphs, on a book of more than 600 pages. What can I do?

It only happens when I paste an image like a screenshot. No problem when I’m taking pictures directly from my camera. I triple checked if my cursor somehow had a blank line or a space multiple pages down, but that just isn’t the case. Is this a common glitch or an easy fix? TIA.

1. Curve recognition

Whenever i make some curly lines for aesthetics , the auto changer would make it a straight line from start point to end point

2. Shape recognition

My shapes are not always recognised … needs some improvement

3. Use of apple pencil pro features

It would be good if theres an option to open a multi menu for apple pencil pro squeeze

4. Search by handwriting recognition

Sometimes i have to search my handwritten notes too

5. Custom / AI stickers

6. Ability to add a single page in a different template

Sonetimes I need other templates incorporated too

7. Dim screen after no touch

Rather than preventing screen from going kff and keeping screen always on and wasting battery , Dimming the screen when no use and lighting up when touched would be good for lecture note takers like me

Was working fine yesterday, now the app keeps crashing when trying to open. Anyone have any solutions? I’m scared to uninstall and reinstall because I don’t think I have my notes backed up

I have been trying to export my notes as a pdf 9 on Goodnotes then transferring them to notability as I like using both apps but it says the file is not supported on notability.Does anyone know the fix?

My notes suddenly no longer appear on my computer notability app. They still appear on my iPad but are not syncing to my laptop. I have enough iCloud storage and everything was working fine yesterday. Please help

My scanner in Notability only scans up to 24 or 25 pages. Is there a way to remove this limit?

I am writing this post because i want to know if there are any plans to bring notability to windows.I recently got a microsoft surface laptop and i want to make notes on it.I dont want to use goodnotes since i cant transfer my notability notes from my ipad to my laptop.Is there any plan to bring notabilty to windows

Hello -- I feel like I must be missing something. When I create a rectangle, fill that rectangle in with a color, and then add a text box, the text is *always* behind the rectangle -- even when I select the text box and tap "bring to front" (or use the icon that presumably does the same thing).

Am I doing something wrong? I've included a screen share from iOS that I quickly edited in Veed to show where I was clicking, since iOS didn't capture it.

FWIW, I'm on Notability v14.10.9 and iOS 18.3 (iPad 10th gen -- so just latest version of base model). My current Notability plan is indicated as 'Notability Classic' -- perhaps I purchased this many years ago?? I really don't recall... seems possible, though. But I'm not on Plus.

Hey y'all :) I just recently switched from Goodnotes to Notability and I'm still getting the hang of things/ Is there a limit on how many templates I can download? Yesterday I downloaded a couple of templates (about 10 I needed a couple different templates) and ten was the only amount I could use. Is 10 the limit on how many templates I can download?

Our friendly Notability rep /u/kaylanotability has enabled the ability to now add images to our r/Notabilityapp posts. So now you can show off your beautiful notes or help identify troubleshooting problems.

I would show mine, but they are just marked up and highlighted PDFs. Nothing fancy like some of y'all.

Is it possible to add an image without it having to be imported in Photos first, just from your files? Mac and Ipad.

Hi! I’m currently in nursing school and I decided to make the switch from goodnotes to notability.

I found goodnotes wasn’t as smooth with note taking and the app always made my handwriting look messy in comparison to notability.

I love the app but wish it had autocorrect for handwriting. I have adhd and dyslexia so I tend to misspell a lot.. anyways, I would love to see this as a feature (hopefully) soon!

For whatever reason my notability app is so buggy now. I updated my ipad and the app to try and fix it but it seemed to make it worse. Started with really buggy image glitching. i would try and move a image and it would freeze and after awhile finally move the picture and allow me to use the app. Now its doing that whenever i try and make a straight line by holding it. It works but takes ~40 seconds to load it and unfreeze the app to do anything else

I downloaded a 4-page PDF that my professor posted, but when I open it in Notability, I get a blank dark screen. If I press the return tab, the PDF briefly loads before kicking me back to the main subjects page. If I keep trying, it sometimes loads, but the pages appear very slowly.

I don’t understand why it’s lagging so much—the PDF only contains hand-drawn circuits and a couple of proofs. Storage isn’t the problem, as I have more than half of my iPad’s storage free.

Has this happened to anyone else? It’s really frustrating.

Hi friends - I continuously get "Error 401 unauthorized" trying to download docs from my OneDrive folder. I can access the folder but when I try to download I get this message, even on docs I've previously downloaded with no problem.

I tried accessing through my Mac and get the same message.

I use this for my job and vitally need it working ASAP! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So every I open a file, there’s always these little square buttons at the bottom of my screen that say like (rule,grid, dot, import, scan, templates). It’s really annoying and no matter what I do it doesn’t go away.

Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how to fix this ?

I have a pdf manual in my Notability app, that when I open the manual is has portions on the page that are blurry and then becomes in focus. Is there a way that the manual in this case is always in focus w/o waiting to be ‘updated’?
