Anyone bought upaknship white poly mailers in the last 3 months notice the quality going down?? It use to be the best quality for the price but the latest batches doesn't quite feel the same, feels cheaper.
First off, why is that every eBay order I have, has different fees for the same item/same sold price?
Many platforms I sell on, say I sell 5/10 of the same item at the same price, the fee never changes. On eBay the fee is always different even if I’m selling the item at the same price and shipping, even if shipping cost exactly the same once I print the label. It’s the only platform I’ve ever seen do this.
Second, wtf is Road improvement and food delivery fee* and why tf are we paying it?
Stupid beginner questions, but I’ve never understood the first one , and the second one is the first time I’ve seen it myself personally.
He fellow Canadian flippers. If CP goes on strike what's going to happen with our items up on eBay?
I found 30 bucks one time in a traveling belt that had a hidden zipper pocket to prevent pickpocketing while on holiday, and I just randomly found a small packet of manuka honey in a purse I got.
I don't really know where to post to ask for advice on such a matter but I wanted to try here. My Aunt had recently passed away and as we were cleaning out her house we had come across many receipts that were very recent. She was a shopaholic to the max but we didn't know how bad until we found these. She had spent $120,000 on an infrared body thing called, Space Touch Cosmo. She had never opened it, never used it, everything is in it's box with all the wrapping still. I want to sell this thing for as much as possible, as close to the amount it was bought for as possible. I only found two being resold, one on Poshmark for 30k but that was used and another for 40k on Ebay, and these things aren't being bought. The goal is for us to sell this to try to help my other Aunt because she has been left with nothing and her sister the one who passed away had used many of her credit cards.
So what I am asking is for any advice on the best sites to sell this thing on that caters to people who have this type of money and who would buy such an item. Also how much you'd reckon we can sell this for? And if this isn't the best subreddit to ask would anyone know the best sub I can ask advice for with this specific item?
What do?
Buyer bought a $700 item. It was shipped same day. Then, their account is suspended by ebay "for reasons they can't disclose", and they tell me "don't worry".
But, next I know they could file a unauthorized transaction chargeback?
Anyone had this experience here before?
Thanks
Best offer of $400 was accepted and buyer immediately paid. Received this message the next day before shipping.
I’ve been reusing coupons for packaging paper that I get from my mailbox, but I’m planning to move soon, and I won’t have that luxury anymore so I’m looking for options.
Seriously, what the heck?
I've got several BIN listings that have been out there for over a year. I consider dropping the price but when I look at recent sales of the same item I'm often lower, sometime significantly lower, than recent sales. (I have a 20 yr ebay history, top rated with never less than 100%)
He was promptly blocked after this.
Hey guys, in the starting of the year I thought of importing Iphone(15 series) cases from Alibaba and sell them on amazon and other platforms here in India. I ordered 200 cases, but till now have only sold around 55 after 6-7 months (those also at loss due high advertising prices and returns). Now I'm thinking of just selling them to any shopkeeper altogether(which is also a big task). I wanted to ask that would this be the right thing to do...... Please suggest
So I have several of an item that has a good sell through rate. 400 have sold in the last 90 and there currently about 20 available and of those 20 about 10 are for parts. Would you:
Farm Rio patchwork puffer coat new with tags ($395) 🥳 Not a high sell through rate and will probably be a longer sell but winter is coming so 🤞🏻. Just so stoked I got for free!
Found this bag at a pawn shop for $10. I know NOTHING about bags but I do recognize Prada as a very big name brand so I snatched it. I’ve been looking online but can’t seem to find any bags like this that look exactly the same in order to help me determine if this is valuable or even a real bag or not (instead of a fake knockoff that’s made to “look” legit). Anyone here that specializes in the bags niche that would be able to help me out?
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I mailed 4 packages via USPS Ground Advantage and all for of them say they were delivered to a PO Box in the town where I live. One was supposed to go to CA, one to FL, one to OR etc .. the post office told me that this was a scanning input error when they entered the package into the system and that the package was on it's way and not to worry. My buyers are asking why it was delivered to a PO Box in Washington and I've had to try an explain the situation to them. I'm curious if anyone here has had a similar issue with packages and the USPS?
I had a sale of X-Wing miniatures I was sending to a buyer in Canada.
I use pirate ship for shipping, and so me and the buyer agreed to use UPS Standard as it was the cheapest option at $25. I filled out the customs form, dropped it off, and went on with life.
About a week later I got a message from the buyer, they were being told by UPS they needed to pay a $70 BROKERAGE fee.
Apparently with UPS Standard they charge a brokerage fee for anything above $40 in value - and these fees can be ... outsized. I was told (but can't verify) that UPS Expedited gets rid of this brokerage fee.
I'm also told (but can't verify) that there is a much smoother transition between USPS and Canada mail, so going USPS is ideal. Unfortunately, I just quoted shipping to another buyer in Canada and it's $32 UPS Basic. $39 UPS expedited, and $55 (!) for USPS. So I suspect we'll be finding out if UPS expedited is the way to go :p
(Resolution with the first sale involved multiple calls to UPS, filling out a new customs form, and then the buyer having to jump through hoops as the adjusted charges were never conveyed to the driver - and then eventually they had to go and pick the item up at a drop off ... it was a headache for everyone involved but eventually they got their items)
Hello, Since the beginning of October I believe facebook has changed the algorithm of facebook marketplace search. I have noticed this because when I post a vehicle for sale it will not show up when someone trys to search. I tried looking it up on a buddies phone and it won't show up either. I also had a second account on facebook so I tried to post the car on that account and it also didn't show up. Has anyone been having issues with posting cars on marketplace and it not showing up in the search?
I am not posting for sympathy as I know this was my own fault for assuming, but rather as cautionary tale for those that are inexperienced like me on what to not to do.
I feel really dumb. I've been selling a bunch of small items that I toss in an envelope and ship. For some reason I just assumed that if I threw something up on ebay using their search for the item in the sell menu and selected an existing item that it would automatically put in the dimensions for the shipping. I put in more for the weight than it was assuming this would compensate for it, but I was very wrong and now I'm out $20 for shipping for a $160 item plus ebay cut.
I recently bought a whole pile of full size mens aftershave and womens perfumes samples. They are boxed but in white cardboard not presentation boxes. I'm thinking whether I list them all at once or list a selection then another etc etc. What do we think is the most efficient way to do it?
I know they are banned on selling platforms, but I'm so confused how some people are able to have listings active on eBay. I understand that sometimes people sell the box or fins only, but my listings get taken down immediately when I try to do so. TIA.
The card is authentic but apparently has a; bend, tear, or crease I didnt list. This is nerve-racking for me because I didnt have those things when I first shipped it out. My question is wait for card to be back in my possession to refund, or just refund now to make buyer less pissed and bank on the authenticator being able to get me the card back correctly? How would you all proceed?
EDIT: I dont think ebay even lets me refund until the card has been marked as returned.
I’ve had my Rollo Wired Thermal printer since 2019. It has printed over 1k labels in its time of use. It never gave me any issues.
Recently I had to reset my computer and had to reinstall and recalibrate the settings for my printer, and this is where my issues start.
When it pulls the first page upon start up, it fully comes out and the printer is ready to print. But when printing an actual page, the label gets fully printed but the paper doesn’t fully come out and gets stuck in the printer near the end, which causes me to open the printer and realign the paper every single time I print. But if I calibrate or just insert a paper it feeds it properly and it fully comes out.
Has anyone experienced this issue? I feel like I’m going crazy. Thanks in advance!
What have you learned lately? Could be through a success or a failure. Could be about a specific item, a niche, flipping in general, or even life as learned through flipping.
Do please keep in mind the difference between shooting the shit and plain bullshit and try to refrain from spreading poor advice.
Try to stop in over the course of the week and sort by New so people are encouraged to post here instead of making their own threads for every item.
