What did you find today?

Something from your childhood? A horrible album cover? Video games, DVDs, an ironic shirt? Something that you just found hilarious?

Whether it's from a garage sale, flea market, estate sale, or wherever else you like to hunt, it's all the same to us. Show us your hauls and join the fun!

What haul is okay to post?

  • Anything that comes from a place where the prices are thrifty (e.g. garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, craigslist, street corners, etc.).

  • Not allowed: Department stores (clearance items, sales, etc), online stores (eBay, Poshmark, Depop, etc), hand-me-downs, or anything similar, Plato's Closet (or other clothing resellers).

Link posts:

  • For showing off your hauls. Submissions must link directly to images you took of your haul.

  • Hauls should be photographed well and the main focus of the image, showing as much of the original unaltered item as possible.

  • Faces need to covered/cropped/edited out (no lips, eyebrows up)

  • Overtly sexual posts will be removed

  • Video submissions are not allowed.

  • No Memes, image macros, or other forms of low effort karma farming.

Text posts:

  • For everything else. Posts should contain content in the main body. Please remain on topic and include visual content if posting about a recent find.

  • Authentication/price checks are not allowed. Identification of brand/signature/version/type or any other kind information seeking about the item in the submission will have the post removed. Repair/cleaning are fine.

  • No buying/selling

  • eBay links are not allowed for any reason with no exceptions. Most marketplace or social media links are also not allowed.

  • Promotion of items or services (in a comment/post) that anyone stands to make monetary/social profit with is forbidden. This includes eBay, marketplaces, YouTube, referrals, social media, etc.

  • Do not make multiple posts in a short time-span (2hrs between posts), please combine your images into one album and submit them all at once.

  • Vulgar insults, sexual harassment, and any other form of unwarranted toxicity towards the community will not be tolerated. Please show some common courtesy.

  • We reserve the right to remove posts/comments that we feel abuse the spirit of the subreddit or its rules, as well as ban on the first bannable offense without warning. Assume breaking any rule is bannable

Please contact the mods for our removal reasoning if you feel like your content removal or ban was unjustified.

Help me build a sustainable wardrobe!

Hello, I’m on my low buy journey and I needed a couple of tips! I’m looking for high quality items at a lower cost that will last me a lifetime if I take care of them. What fabric material or brand should I be on the look for when it comes to sweaters, t shirt and jeans? ( those are the items I find fall apart easier for me) Thanks in advance, happy thrifting!

Is thrifting for Valentines gifts wrong?

Just curious - I found this cute deer/reindeer mug thrifting and thought about getting it as part of my dates gifts, he hunts and seems to have an affinity for deer so I thought not only was it a charming yet simple mug that he could enjoy I felt like it would be nice to stuff with candy and other little trinkets, but I’m wondering if it’d seem cheap of me to gift him something like this? It’s not like he’d know, but is a second hand mug particularly weird to gift? I’m very likely overthinking this but I’d like to know people’s thoughts please! P.s. Does the mug seem too christmassy? I’m kinda in-between 😅

Kenwood Kitchen Assistant

15€ for a box of Kenwood stuff and it turns out it was a complete set of a FDM30 kitchen assistant with a juice centrifuge and glass blender. It cleaned up nicely in the dishwasher and with some Lysol wipes.

Can I post something to try to help me find?

If I can’t is there a group to ask? I’m looking for a metal index file box I had when I was in elementary school. I absolutely hated it but thinking about it now I’d love to have one. 😆

Thanks for any help you have

This record was a custom run from an elementary school. It has the choir, orchestra, and band on it. All I could think was wow.😆
