I have been buying from auctions online and selling on eBay part time for around 6 months, and then reinvesting the profits in new stock. How long do you estimate that I can keep this strategy and take an income of around £750 a month?
Hi, recently picked up a lovely pair of New Balance 574s but the comps in this colourway are basically no-existent and very confusing. Is anybody able to price these up for me 🙏 size 10, vgc, no box.
Hi all,
Please remove if not allowed! Bit I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I've only ever sold two items on ebay, which was a couple of weeks ago. After my second sale my account was permanently suspended, I have no negative feedback and have only ever really purchased a few items. Customer service doesn't exist or doesn't help me and makes me feel as though I'm some sort of criminal.
That aside, I can let ebay go, but my funds are on hold and the guy on the phone said up to 60 days.. but on my account it says estimated release date 16th February, which would mean it had been a month since the sale. I used tracked delivery and it says tracked. So my question is, is this realistic despite the suspension and am I to expect the funds when it says?
Hello!
I have a kind of flipping related question, and would appreciate some genuine help!
I work for a company that recently acquired the contract to sale legitimate lost property that has been unclaimed for sometime and therefore forfeit.
Whilst most of the items are everyday things, occasionally we come across a watch, bag or shoes that appear to be a designer brand.
We would like sell these items by auction but want to be totally upfront about the authenticity.
We can see 2 ways to approach this:
Get items verified. Happy to do this but does anyone know of a UK company that covers the south West part of the UK? We would need an onsite visit due to the business structure. They would ideally need to be able to verify a wide range of goods.
Alternatively, we can just list the items "as is", no authenticity and without looking to mislead. We do already have disclaimers in our terms of purchase, but customers sometimes dont read these properly. Does anyone have any suggestion for listing wording? Could you for example say "Gucci style", "labelled as Gucci", "designer handbag", or say "Gucci bag" (not authenticated) etc. We want to ensure people understand what they may/may not be buying, but also we don't want to put off potential buyers. All buyers are welcome to inspect the items prior to buying, so there's nothing hidden.
Fakes these days are so good, it's causing us a headache to identify the real ones!
Would love to hear your advice or suggestions.
Morning folks.
Saw another post on here asking about communities/discord servers aimed at UK flippers and resellers.
The answer is yes there is one and it's not a Pau to play server either.
If you want to chat with, swap tips with and share the highs and lows with other UK based flippers then come join us: https://discord.gg/8JncFvZpbG
Also we just passed 400 members, when we hit 500 members we will pick 1 member at random to choose any item they want from my eBay store
Hello its been a while since I last posted. I'm posting about my journey in reselling. So its been good somehow. I reached one of my milestone just now! I'm just happy about it.I will post again once I reached my second one which is 100 items listed.
I'm doing good on electronics. Almost 0 sales in apparel.
I got some bad buys but its all part of learning process.
How are you guys doing?
Hey is there any discord groups for flipping I could join? Could also make one if anyone's interested. Thanks
I’ve heae
Have never really bothered but going to start looking at the Vinyl when in charity shops.
Sometimes there are a lot in there and this is probably the main reason i haven’t bothered because it would be too time consuming to lens each record.
Is there a general rule of thumb that ‘x’ is just not worth looking up as never worth anything and certain (genres or time periods) are to help me narrow down what to look at.
Any help appreciated!
I'm just looking into reselling, but I noticed a quite big potential issue no one is talking about which is buying branded clothing, shoes, etc., from charity shops and Vinted to resell on eBay. My main concern is whether I could run into trouble by selling these items on eBay.
The plan is to stay away from high-end designer clothes, but even cheaper brands like Nike, Polo, adidas, Hugo Boss, etc could still be fake sometimes. There’s no way a normal person could authenticate all of these items by themselves, and fully authenticating them somewhere else would cost a lot and take a lot of time.
Obviously, you can look out for tags and quality, but there’s no way to be 100% sure nothing’s fake, and one or two might slip in by mistake. So, what’s your experience with this? How do you deal with it?
Trying reselling in 2025 as a side hustle but first I want to clear my wardrobe. I am trying to sell rare genuine adidas jacket. I have made my first listing ever and in 3 accounts:
Ebay: 2 views in 2 days with 2% promotion
Vinted: Banned - AI detected counterfeit
Depop: Banned - AI detected counterfeit
Selling my old stuff shouldn'tbe this hard!!!
I’m trying to flip random stuff like vintage games and guitar pedals.
I’ve tried to look for cheap things all day but I’ve had no luck
Any tips?
I love reselling and want to get back into it. Looking for discord groups and others in the UK looking to network. I am wanting to resell absolutely anything :)
Hello Flipmates,
I just wanted to update you on my journey with buying and selling.
So far, I've spent over £1,200 on stock, which ranges from trainers and hoovers to car locks and electronics—basically anything I think will sell. It's been an interesting ride so far!
Of the items I’ve bought, some turned out to be rubbish, and there’s not much I can do about that. On the other hand, some items I intended to sell ended up being useful for personal use instead.
Here’s where I stand right now:
That said, I still have 30+ trainers to list on eBay next year, so I’m optimistic about turning things around. Plus, I’ve gained useful items from my stock that are worth more than £247.26, so it’s not all bad!
I can’t wait to share the day when I finally break even! Wishing you all a fantastic new year, Flipmates.
See you soon!
Hi guys, new to Flipping. I have a question, i noticed on Auctions there is Fine Art & Antiques etc, even luxury watches. Where do you then resell the Fine Art? I even saw some expensive vintage Wines.
I usually sell gadgets like phone, laptop via Facebook marketplace, but just wondering now and wanting to go into a newer market.
Thank you in advance
Hey guys, where's the best place to start networking with other resellers? Any tips?
I think we're stronger together in teams, we can hunt and trade for each other, we've all got our favourite categories.
I sell in all categories but I love my antiques and pottery for example. I wouldn't mind trading some gaming gear for this type of stuff and I know there's plenty of people out there that like their gaming stuff. I come across it all the time but don't pick it up.
Is there already a community like this? If not, can we create one?
Thoughts?
Last time someone left a portable washing machine at our flat reception. I take it back to mine and tested it and it works.
Today someone bought it for £35. Thats money out of thin air lol.
Keep hustlin and always have an eye for things to sell.
Hello everyone, I'm just here to share my journey with buy and sell.
Intially I bought something for myself and it gotten out of hand as I found deal after deal. All of a sudden my flat is full of boxes and stuff. Today I rented a storage unit for my stuffs.
Started couple of weeks ago and was able to flip a watch for £250 and steering lock for £150.
These profits went into buying trainer lots, about 30 pair.
I'll update you guys on my journey!
I am wondering if anyone in here knows someone that has already purchased this course by https://designersbulk.com/
There are lots of video reviews on the site, that seem kinda sus to me. The very aggressive marketing on Instagram is also really putting me off. Still, I have already been on a call with the man and it was a great convo and seemed fine.
On Trustpilot, it's all positive besides 3 or 4 reviews that title it as "Scam".
Really looking forward to your tips.
WTF?
Did I just pull a newbie to get myself banned this fast?
I must admit I put an item on sale with the same pics I have on eBay and the same item title + description. Is it just me that thinks this is stupid? They're turning business away!
Hello everyone! I want to create a community where people who want to fix phones or flip phones for profit and was wondering if anyone could give me some suppliers to add to the community!
PM me for my number for more info
Hi folks
I just wanted to quickly consult the audience in here to understand whether I'm doing something wrong or not in the process.
How long does it usually take for you to resell an item? How much time passes between sourcing, acquiring and then relisting and reselling an item?
Appreciate it may depend on the item, or season even. But some insights into this would be good to have to understand a bit more the field.
Thanks in advance
Is there any good groups to join for buying stock, price errors etc to make a good flip on like crepcheifnotify etc
is the price of £800 to much for Iphone 15 pro max? Battery health is on 100%, great phone condition and unlocked to all networks
