Changes not sticking in listings

I have no idea if this is where I need to ask this, but here goes. The company I work for has been having issues the last few weeks with changes not sticking to our listings, both old and brand new. The claims department is taking days to do anything. Even with templates it’s taking hours to update. Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be? It’s not just on my computer, it’s everyone’s accounts and 2 of these computers are brand new. Thank you! 😊

Multi country product launch

Hi Guys

I am working on a product that I would like to sale on both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca

I need help with some questions and if someone can respond to it would be very helpful.

* Should I create 2 different product for each country or keep the same listing?

* If I keep the same listing how do I add it to Canadian Market?

* I am assuming my UPC can be same doesn't matter the country right?

Any other do's and don't if anyone wants to suggest are welcome.

We're a small-time manufacturer and Amazon has lost nearly $10k of inventory since the start of the new year. Is there anything we can try aside from legal action at this point?

We do like $180k per year in sales. Since the start of 2024, and at two specific FCs, our inventory just falls into processing: "Future Supply Buyable" status, then disappears after about a month or so. Sometimes it's one full case, other times an entire shipment.

This is a big chunk of our operating revenue and we were already looking to step away from Amazon before. Each case we open gets shut down quickly citing that an investigation was already automatically completed. Also I'm not sure if we're still on the hook for the hundreds of dollars in new inventory placement fees.

Are the 3rd P services that claw back reimbursements any better than me bitching at Seller Support with my packing lists and UPS labels/Bill of Ladings?

Ready to hit arbitration at this point

Issue with reviews and ratings

Recently I’ve been having some weird shit going on with a listing. I had a rating with review removed (5star) which brought my average rating down.

On another instance, the rating score went down with no new reviews or ratings being posted!

Has anyone seen this shit happen before? It’s clearly affecting sales and click through. I tried amazon support but they obviously just hit me with the standard copy paste crap.

Lost Inventory Investigation

I am a new seller, so I am still learning the process. Amazon checked in a box of my units, and it never got to the receiving stage. When I go to “Contents” it says. “Amazon is processing the trailer your shipment is in, at an Amazon Fulfillment Center, if the shipment’s inventory is not received by April 24, then your shipment will be eligible for investigation.”

Does it automatically go into investigation or is there something I need to do to initiate the investigation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Amazon Sales Trend for April 2024

Howdy gang,
I've got two seller accounts, both of which are down in April 2024 (one of them is mostly out of stock, so there's that) ... then, within the accounts I manage I get to see a lot of data on other seller accounts, trends, etc.

Alarming (but not unusual) trend for April 2024 ... this is a cropped screenshot of the first page of our client accounts. As you can see, everyone is down in April. The only 2 that are up are foreign marketplaces (in this case, one is Canada, and one is Mexico).

Looks like overall, it was a down month for a lot of sellers. I don't know if it's the economy or just seasonal. Of course, there are outliers, but on average, most are down this month.

Are ya'll seeing the same thing in your own accounts?

Is It Possible to Sell Products that Use Materials from Other Brands? With their permission of course.

Can you sell a product that uses another branded product as material? For example, a water bottle from a popular distributor and you put your brand or design on it. Also, are you able to advertise "this bottle is made by X company"?

Best Way To Sell My Remaining Inventory In Bulk (And Actually Make Some Cash?)?

Decided I want to cut my losses... this game aint for me. I sell 100+ units per month, sold $40K in revenue and I've made under $3K back. I found someone who wants to buy my store but says I need to empty my inventory first.

Any recommendations for how to source someone to buy remaining inventory off me? I'm in the pet supplies/pet products space. Just not sure where to start.

Thanks!

Is it possible to change the Brand of a listing?

I have recently created a new seller account and created couple FBA listing. At that time I did not have an approved brand but now I do. I called seller support to change my listings brand from ‘Generic’ to my ‘brandName’. There response is it’s against the policy and they can not do it.

The issue is I have already send a large amount of inventory for this product. I really do not want to be selling them under the Generic brand. In my previous experience with my other stores, I was able to change Generic brand to a new brand which was approved later. I was under the impression I can do the same again.

I have called/emailed seller support multiple times but no solution was provided. Can anyone please advise what I can do in this situation? TIA

Brand Name missing from Title

I freshly created a new listing under a pretty newly born brand name that has been brand registered. I currently have no stock and am waiting for manufacturing to get into stock (this would be the first stock as its a new brand and new product listing). For a while I had the brand name successfully at the front of my product title, which is how I want it. But now today when I open up the listing to do some editing I notice the brand name is removed from the title. But when I go into edit it, I see the brand name there. What is going on here? Why is my brand name not showing up at the beginning of the title? Should I be concerned? And how can I fix this?

What am I missing from my listing? It’s just not selling

Hi everyone, I have a product I’m trying to sell and Ive tried everything that the YouTubers say to do, but for some reason it just has not sold any meaning ful amounts. I know this is competitive product, but listing with less quality seem to be selling way more.

Here is my listing:

https://a.co/d/ephw65l

  • I’ve optimized the listing for SEO
  • I have a decent amount of positive reviews
  • my reviews have images and videos
  • I have A+ content
  • I have colorful and interesting listing photos
  • I placed Amazon ads and have received

a decent amount of impressions (~250,000) but not too many clicks (~60). I usually bid above the max bid too.

  • I’ve lowered the price to be more competitive
  • I’ve placed ads through other social media platforms a few of which have gone viral, but still no real clicks and no real purchases
  • I’ve launch social media promo codes
  • I have used coupons on my listings
  • my listing has a strike through price

I’m not sure what I am missing. I feel like my listing is more optimized than other sellers but even the fairly simple listings are selling 10x as much as I am. Can anyone give me any advice? Is there someone trustable I can hire for a quick call that will give me some good advice. I’m just very confused here. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

[Mod post] I am taking mod applications. I cannot deal with you fucking people.

Tell me why you would be a good mod and why you wont immediately become drunk with power and ruin everything.

I need someone who wants to spend their spare time filtering out some of the dumbest questions you've ever read and endless VA spam. Your job would be to assist in deleting and approving posts. I am the only person who moderates this sub and in the last week I have taken a break of it. Getting back to it now but if anybody wants to be an internet janitor let me know.

If you arent interested but you still want to know why this sub sucks and why I must suck at my job, turns out its not me its you. When a sub gets too big, the quality of discussion declines and you are faced with one of two options, we (I) have tried both.

A. Filter everything out to only keep the high quality posts - this doesnt work. This just gives you a slightly better sub that feels dead
B. Filter out the dumbest of the dumb and let the community be whatever it has naturally become - this is where we are at now. This is what works. It just sucks.

The above is why we made the discord and why this sub is practically just a discord funnel these days. The discord is better in every measurable way due to the community, the size, and the mod tools that allow us to keep it good even if it was the same size as this sub. Oh, you want a link? Product Authenticity Complaint - Fapiao Invoices

In the midst of an appeal for a product authenticity complaint by a buyer who conducted a return and noted the product was a "dummy unit." I have sold over 2000 units and not one has come back as inauthentic. But of course, amazon has removed my listing and I have an authenticity strike against my account health. ————- From Amazon:

To reactivate your listings, please send the following information for the ASINs listed above: Copies of final invoices or receipts from your supplier issued in the last 365 days and before April 18, 2024. These documents should reflect your sales volume during the last 365 days. Please include the business details for your supplier, including the business name, business phone number, business address, and website. We may contact your supplier to verify the documents. We will maintain the confidentiality of your supplier's information. You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review. You can only send.paf,.jpg, .png, or .gif files. These documents must be authentic and unaltered. The total allowed attachment size is 10MB. How do I submit the required information? ——————-

In the midst of an appeal, and I have a LOA, written confirmation from the manufacturer that the product I have been sourcing is authentic, and I also have submitted the official tax commercial invoice Fapiao from China from the manufacturer for an order with all that they've requested for with the exception of the website on the invoice as that is not SOP to have websites on invoices in China.

Wondering what people have experienced when submitting Fapiao's to appeal the Product Authenticity Complaint to get their inventory reinstated? Is it acceptable? Or do they want the invoice to have a letter head from the supplier? A Fapiao is the official government tax invoice sent from the supplier noting the transaction for chinese tax purposes. It is in full chinese but I believe Amazon's Al bots accept chinese as an acceptable language for documentation.

I have all my current units for that ASIN in Reserved status and wonder if my appeal fails, do I have rights to remove the inventory to send it back/retrieve it if I accept the result? I am a Canada and USA seller with the same ASIN selling in both marketplaces so stock in both markets are current held up. Thave already submitted numerous packing slips and invoices to address this appeal previously but admittedly they have all been missing some information along with my redaction of the prices.

This time with the Fapiao with all that they've asked for i've submitted i've decided to redact nothing and included pricing information. I have also put it in PDF format as I have read in other posts that this has a higher chance of success vs.JPG and .PNG files.

This is my first violation. Account Health is at 196.

How do you deliver both UPS and Fedex on the same inventory shipment workflow?

So some warehouses my freight forwarder sent via Fedex and others were sent UPS, but the workflow doesn't allow me to pick both. Should I just chose "Other". Is that Amazon's recommendation? I tried to get ahold of someone from support, but both agents didn't know the answer. Currently I have 3 warehouses that will be delivered UPS and 2 that will be Fedex. What should I do?

Thanks for any help!

The Hidden Pitfalls of Automated Bidding in Online Advertising

Here's the problem I see with automated bidding on advertising platforms.

First, it's crucial to grasp the fundamental purpose of an auction: to attract the biggest dummy and find who's willing to pay the most. This is why Warren Buffet famously does not participate in auctions.

Platforms like Amazon Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and eBay allow you to authorize them to bid on your behalf. This can lead to potential conflicts of interest, especially when your competitors are also using automated bidding. In this situation, the platforms use both your and your competitors' funds to bid against each other. Consider this: where does the bidding process end? Do the platforms continuously escalate bids? For example, if an automated system bids $1 on your behalf for cost per click (CPC), will it prompt a competing bid of $1.10 from your competitor's automation? The complexity increases as these platforms can exceed your daily budget limit, albeit without surpassing the monthly budget, and in some cases, they may even exceed the monthly budget under the guise of maximizing customer reach.

The primary concern here is the lack of transparency. You cannot see the bids, making it impossible to verify whether these companies are managing the auctions fairly or artificially driving up the bids. More transparency is crucial to ensure fairness in the bidding process.

To illustrate, imagine going to a casino and handing your money to a dealer behind a closed door. You can only see the teller through a small glass peephole. You give your money to the dealer, who then disappears to place your bets. Five minutes later, the dealer returns and simply tells you that you lost without you ever seeing the game in action. Essentially, you're just supposed to trust them. This lack of transparency is akin to what happens with automated bidding in online advertising.

VAT filing while using FBA abroad

Hi guys,

I was wondering whether anyone knows how to handle the following situation:

  • I'm a seller based in Belgium and want to use FBA to sell my products. As there isn't a fulfillment center yet in Belgium, I'm forced to store my stock in Germany. To do this, I have to register a german VAT number.

Here comes the question:

  • If I sell goods from my stock that is located in Germany, should I file them through VAT filing in Germany (domestic or OSS) or through VAT filing in Belgium (OSS).

This will help me to decide whether I want to use a filing partner or not for this.

Thank you!

Advice on what document Amazon UK need to re-verify my account

I've had my Amazon UK seller account since 2017, they've recently asked me to re-do my account verification, and I seem to be getting stuck on a specific document requirement.

They're asking for: "-- Provide a copy of the company’s most recent share allotment document with a breakdown of shares. It must show the number of shares held by each beneficial owner and the number of shares issued for the company. This usually takes the form of a Statement of Capital, an Annual Return, or a Confirmation Statement. The document must show the latest updates with a detailed overview of the beneficial owner with a breakdown of the shares. "

The only document I have from UK Companies House that clearly shows all these details is the original Incorporation Certificate & Articles of Association. However as this is from 2017, they won't accept it, and all the other documents I have tried to submit have been rejected (such as confirmation statement, "certified certificate of incorporation & good standing", annual accounts).

I'm at a loose end of how to generate/locate a document from UK Companies House that will show the breakdown of share holdings/ownership of the directors/owners of my business. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated, thanks!

Experience with AVS

Hey everyone, I'm currently managing an Amazon Vendor account for a small dermocosmetics company. For the most part everything is under control, but as you all know, working with Amazon Support is a nightmare. Basically we are trying to expand into other European countries, but the new listings are mixing photos between countries and sales aren't taking off as a result. Moreover Amazon randomly removes our listings for label issues they invent and it can take months for them relist..Amazon`s solution for this, of course, is for us to pay for a n AVS manager (5.5% of net receipts, basically €70,000 per year, at least) to resolve this. I personally think it's absurd from a value added perspective, but I wanted to hear about others experiences with AVS and whether it was worth it for resolving problems and growing. What are your experiences? Is it a necessary expense? Keep in mind with damage allowance, S&S, CoOp, and margin penalties we are losing at least 12-15% of our net margin already. Thanks for your help!

I dont know what to do anymore

Since the December 23-January 6 pay period, my Account Level Reserve has held 70- 80% of my payout balance. I understand that this reserve gets put on my beginning balance for the next pay period, however this is an every pay period occurrence. My refunds are average for the category and I keep track of my fees and ad spend. I just don't know what to do any more. I definitely cannot survive paying my bills on a 20-30% payout of my total take home. Its been a crushing feeling, for almost 5 months, seeing your sales increase everyday but your net proceeds decline alongside them. Does anybody have any insight?

Appearing in multiple niches

One of my goals is to start appearing in more niches. Looking at the “Product Opportunity Explorer” I see my ASINS are in one niche.

Some of my competitors, selling the same type of product are showing up in several niches (all very similar).

What is the best way to start appearing in more niches? Do I create more ad campaigns with specific search terms for each niche?

Shipping to Mexico fulfillment centers - Do you NEED a brokerage company?

We are an established brand that started selling our products through Amazon in the US earlier this year, and now we're looking to expand to other markets through FBA.

There's a lot of demand for our product in Mexico, so we'd like to send inventory to Mexican fulfillment centers. As I'm going through the process, I see we'll need to get an RFC number from the Mexican Government. No big deal.

I'm also seeing a bunch of businesses offering brokerage servicing, claiming you have to use one of them to send inventory. Is this true, or are they just trying to get business from people who are confused about the process?

For more context, for now we'll be sending one large box, so we're not talking pallets. Can't we have FedEx or DHL act as the broker?

Anyone having the issue where products are only searchable on desktop and not mobile?

About a week ago, all of our listings disapeared on the Amazon mobile app but are still visible on desktop. The only way to find the listings on mobile is to type the ASIN directly. Even when we click on the "Brand: MyBrand" button, it doesn't show our products. NOTE: upon further testing, it does appear the products show when browsing without being logged into an Amazon account.

Here is one of our products https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQBQ199K?ref=myi_title_dp

We have talked to support multiple times but they state there is no issue.

Curious if anyone else is having this problem or has a solution.

Low-Mid Volume UPC Label Dispensing - ideas?

We have 100+SKU's requiring labelling. We basically use sheeted address labels we feed through our laser printer. It's not enough volume to warrant a custom print run of our packaging.
Our current solution:
We print off UPC's or FNSKU's with address labels on our laser printer.
We appreciate the convenience of not having to pre-purchase rolls of labels (for 100+ SKU's) and not having to outlay money for slower moving product.
Suggestions for alternative solutions?

-Is there equipment (or processes) out there that can speed up the label application process, like a "price gun" that does barcodes?

- I see handheld applicator guns on Uline, but looks like this requires pre-printing rolls.
- I also see table top label dispensers in various forms, which again relies on pre-printing labels on rolls.

Labels

-Any sources you're using for printing roll form labels? Online vendors or do you use local printers?

Incorrect generic listing being monopolized

Hey has anyone figured out how to get around the new generic listing issue where a seller basically creates a generic listing for an actual branded product and its corresponding UPC, thereby guaranteeing other sellers with the same exact product can’t jump on to the listing.

We’ve tried emailing seller support about this , but it’s a brick wall. They tell us to make a new listing. It’s like okayyy well our actual product UPC is now taken.

Basically, how do we get this listing changed from generic to the actual brand OR at least how do we have the UPC removed from his listing?

Ranking effects based on full price conversions or 10% off coupon conversions?

I remember reading in the past that conversions with a discounted coupon has less of an effect on ranking than full price purchases. I also heard that it doesnt matter much as long as its <20%. Im not sure if thats true.

Is this still the case? I having an influencer promoting my product, and im debating if I'll have better ranking effects if its less conversions at full price vs. more conversions at 10% off.

Are EURO (EPAL) pallets accepted in US FBA Warehouses?

Hello everyone,

As a European seller, we commonly use standard pallets known as EURO (EPAL) pallets, with dimensions of 80 cm x 120 cm (31.49" x 47.24").

You can find more details here: https://www.epal-pallets.org/eu-en/load-carriers/epal-euro-pallet

These pallets comply with the international standard 'IPPC Branding Guide.'

Do you know if EURO pallets are accepted for delivery to US FBA Warehouses or US AWD Warehouses? Or do I need to purchase GMA Pallets (48" x 40")?

I believe Amazon may prioritize pallets with the 'IPPC Brand' over GMA-style pallets.

Thank you
