Overcharged on Ads

So I tested out few ad campaigns and then I lowered the budget to $2 for each of the 4 campaigns to more passively monitor them and keep some momentum.

I just got billed for close to $600 and going in, I can see that each day the ad would say I'm out of budget, it would just continue spending and completely disregard the budget I set.

This is right around the holidays and really set me back with the gifts I was planning on getting for family.

Is there anyway I can be reimbursed?

Such a bad situation...

Helium 10 Has Gotten Very Glitchy

Cyber Monday and I can't get product performance in the Profits tool to load. It's been glitchy for many months now - the search function doesn't work as well, it takes over a minute to load and I often get the 'Ooops. Error' message over and over. Add to that my historical COGS wasn't transferring into the profits calculation on most of my products - I had to reload a file to get it to work. Are others having problems with this tool? Have subscribed to them for years and never had so many problems with the tool.

Helium 10 rolling back of features without notice

A few months back, helium 10 removed refund genie from the platinum plan....with no notice. One day it just stopped being available and we were told we had to upgrade to the diamond plan.

Upgraded to the diamond plan, found all the refund reports were inaccurate and then we went back to the platinum plan. Today, our helium 10 plug in extension no longer works. We are again being asked to upgrade to the diamond plan. This plug in worked yesterday. We received no emails that this change would take place and were charged our monthly plan 8 days ago.

Is anyone experiencing this? It seems the $99 month platinum plan is equivalent to what the free plan was a few years ago.

It's also impossible to get in contact with anyone at helium 10. Noone answers their chats or emails.

What other softwares are you guys using? We don't want to spend more than a couple hundred dollars a month. We primarily use helium 10 for the extension to see sales on other competitor listings and find advertising keywords.

All our inventory, profit and loss reports are done by our proprietary software.

Discrepancies in Shipment

Had a trial order of 100 units sent in directly to a single fulfillment center. 2 of the units are missing. It's not a huge deal but it kind of bugs me somewhat. I opened up a case and sent in the invoice and what not (through the contents page under shipment section). Is it even worth going through this process? Also, I just now realized that the invoice I sent was the Alibaba receipt, which apparently Amazon does not accept (?). My other question too is: if it's a small discrepancy is it even worth pursuing? I did not see the red exclamation mark next to the shipment (under shipments section) so that leads me to believe it is an optional thing for us to resolve. In other words does Amazon force us to start a case about these issues if we don't see the red mark? I'm still getting used to the whole Seller Central setup and how everything is laid out and works. Overall how should I go about this? And, what is the best way to deal with shipment discrepancies?

When do you give up on a product?

As sellers, we’re all naturally biased and think our products are amazing, but at what point do you decide that it’s just not working? Whether it’s because the product doesn’t have a real market or a competitor has a huge grasp on the space, I’m curious how others approach this.

Personally, I try to go through the process of optimizing my listing, improving my images, adjusting PPC, and repeating that cycle. But is there a point where you draw the line? Do you set a specific time limit for yourself, or is it after a certain number of attempts to improve that you decide to move on?

Would love to hear how others handle this tough decision.

How to Handle Fraudulent Refunds Without Risking Negative Reviews?

I’ve been struggling with fraudulent returns for years. Buyers often:

  1. Send back fakes: They purchase an expensive Halloween mask, request a refund, and return a cheap knock-off. This has even caused Amazon to flag my account for "selling counterfeits."
  2. Damage products: Customers intentionally damage items, like punching holes in a knife holster, and then return them.

How can I protect my business from these scams without risking negative reviews or further strikes from Amazon?

Any tips or tools would be greatly appreciated!

FBA Forced Removal Dispute

Hello,

I hope to get an advice on the forced removal I would like to dispute with Amazon.

I'm doing OA. I purchased a new brand, got approval to list it on Amazon and sent it in for FBA. Amazon lost the entire shipment after delivery and reimbursed me for it. 5 months later they found the shipment and took back the reimbursement. So far, quite typical for Amazon. The challenge I'm faced with, though, is that during those 5 months, they stopped allowing listing this particular brand, and are not accepting any new applications.

Question: any way I can dispute this? If yes, what is more realistic: asking them to allow me sell the brand (I have proper invoices from a distributor that still sells the brand on Amazon), or asking them the reimburse me (and let them keep the product) due to passage of time? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Need Help- First Amazon FBA Shipment Canada

Hi everyone,

I apologize if this has already been answered in this thread. I am making my first product shipment to Amazon. After lots of other errors I have finally got my shipment ready to go.

If I send my shipment using the small parcel delivery it is very expensive, but I am hoping someone may be able to help me with a LTL shipment.

  1. I believe Amazon Canada does not have any partnered LTL so I am wondering if anyone has a trusted LTL company who is familiar with Amazon that they use?

2.Moreover, currently it says that the warehouse to ship it to is in Calgary, and we are in Toronto. I am wondering if it would be possible to pick a centre that is much closer to us to reduce the cost.

Thank you for all the help!

Why Amazon Viner reviewer NOT picked my product?

I am selling unframed set of prints for wall decoration (in handmade category, FBA) priced at <$20. People are buying them 1 a day on average. Trying to get reviews, but no Viner program reviewer wants to take it for free, why? Not even one out of 30 products was taken (already selling for 2 months). Listing is good, product is decent, competition high. Please help me understand what is happening?

FBA Worth Starting Now?

Was thinking of getting FBA because it looks like once you get into a flow it’s consistent income and not really hands on. I have an LLC but don’t have a resellers permit yet. Was going to do OA and then move into wholesale once I get the hang of things. Just need an honest opinion on if it’s worth starting. Also got 20k credit limit with Amex blue business cash - gives perspective on what my capital is looking like. I don’t know if this considered a lot or little with starting FBA capital. Honestly though if I did commit I wouldn’t even know where to start with finding OA leads specifically unsaturated

Edit: I know FBA isn’t consistent income or passive, I just posed the question like this because that’s the picture social media likes to paint. I’ve also hear mixed responses, not just here, on I should do PL or wholesale or RA or OA or nothing at all. What makes sense to me is to try with the least capital intensive, least time-consuming, least riskiest thing which is OA (not to say it isn’t any of these things just the least). I’m aware of the risks that FBA has but and I’ve been in the reselling/ecommerce space for the last 3 years so not naive at all when it comes to this. I’ve tried a lot of business models some successful, some not, and venturing into FBA is only me trying to diversify what I do as the other business models I do are either automated, I have someone manage the day to day, or is semi-passive.

E-commerce Sellers: I Need Your Feedback to Build a Tool for Sellers Like You!

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a tool to help e-commerce sellers (on platforms like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy) simplify profitability calculations, pricing decisions, and platform selection. I’d love to hear your thoughts to ensure it addresses the challenges sellers actually face. Here are a few questions—your input would mean a lot to me!

  • How do you calculate profitability for a product after fees, shipping, and other costs? Do you use a tool or calculate manually?
  • Do you use multiple platforms (Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc.), and if so, how do you decide which platform is best for a product?
  • Have you ever received IP complaints for selling branded products? How do you handle these risks?
  • Do you sell products individually, in bundles, or both? How do you decide which format is more profitable?
  • How often do you adjust your prices based on competitor activity? Do you use any tools for this?
  • If a tool could scan a product barcode and instantly show profitability, fees, pricing suggestions, and sales projections, would you use it? Why or why not?
  • What’s the most time-consuming part of deciding which products to sell and how to price them?
  • Do you struggle with predicting how much stock to purchase for a product? How do you currently handle this?
  • If you could solve one major challenge in your e-commerce business right now, what would it be?
  • What’s one feature or insight you wish current e-commerce tools provided but don’t?

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights! If you’re interested, I’d be happy to share updates on the tool as it develops—I’d love for you to try it out when it’s ready. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Struggling in a Competitive Niche – Advice Needed! 😅

Hey everyone,

I’m currently in a very competitive niche on Amazon and just launched my first product. While my inventory is still inbound and being processed, it’s available for sale and should be fully ready in the next 4-5 days.

I’ve tried to make my product stand out with a couple of unique selling points (USPs) that no one else in my niche currently offers—features I’ve noticed are highly sought after based on market research. I thought these would help differentiate my product and drive some early traction.

I’m also offering a pretty decent discount to encourage sales, but it’s been a rough start. Over the last 2 days, I’ve spent $150 on PPC, generated over 50,000 impressions, and… not a single sale yet.

I’m wondering if this is just part of the launch struggle, or if there’s something I’m missing. Could it be: • My listing isn’t highlighting my USPs well enough? • The pricing/discount still isn’t hitting the mark? • Or do I just need to wait until my product is fully indexed, Prime eligible, and gains visibility?

I’d really appreciate any insights, feedback, or tips from those who’ve been through this before. It’s been a bit discouraging, but I’m trying to stay optimistic and focused!

Thanks so much for any advice you can share.

How many weeks / months / years selling until you turned an overall profit?

How long were you operational before you made it all back and started turning a profit / expanding with house money?

And by profitable I mean considering all overall costs, e.g., cost of LLC setup up (if applicable), fixed costs (if applicable), seller subscription costs, etc.

I'm just curious to hear some success and less success stories!

I'll start: almost 3 months since I created my LLC and I'm estimating at least 3 more months in deficit.

Have you ever A/B tested sales with Black Friday discounts vs no discounts?

Hello

I usually discount by 10%, but I'm not sure if this is even benefiting sales as I cannot fathom how I'd A/B test it?The only option I could see is to compare to last year's sales, however, this would not be a fair comparison due to many other factors such as new competitors, current rankings, algorithm changes, pricing, so on and so forth.

  1. What is your favourite sales option (standard sales, lighting deals, coupons etc), and why?

  2. Have you compared discounts vs. no discounts sales results, what were your findings, and how did you A/B test given that Black Friday is only once a year?

Thank you

Freight Forwarders

Hello all,

I am starting up my first FBA business and am going currently negotiating with manufacturers. I have been asking for their DDP and using them to negotiate against others, but was wondering if I should be looking to outsource the shipping?

Is it better to use the manufacturers shipping method? I figure there would be more guarantee if something was damaged during transit, went missing, etc.

If anyone does recommend using other freight forwarders - which ones are the best?

Thanks.

So, how is everyone's sales today?

I thought today would be huge, but my sales are about average for a November day. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were considerably higher though.

I have no sales please help me I’m a new seller!

Hello everyone like I said I’m new seller, it’s been really difficult for me to get sales

today I was expecting to get some sales at least but it has been very difficult for me to be in the first page

I already have the correct keywords, good price, different from the competition, a very good price for this Black Friday and cyber Monday, and can’t just be on page 1 with the keywords that I need to be based on the report I got from the best 3 sellers

And probably the worst mistake I made was choosing a very competitive product, I thought it wasn’t to be honest

Worst part of the story is that Invested mine and my dads money because he believes in me, it’s been 17 months to finally launch my product and now I’m not having any sales

I don’t know what to do, maybe if I get more traffic but not by using ppc

Do you have some advice for me??

Buy Box and Black Friday

Don't you love how starting every Black Friday, Amazon will put a low priced garbage seller with a January 25th delivery date in the Buy Box, in the hopes that the other sellers, who actually have the product in stock, lower their price to match?

God that is despicable.

Asking for Advice about FBA Business Partial Assets

Hi everyone,

I’m in a challenging situation and would appreciate some advice. Long story short, I was recently deceived by my ex-business partner, who has taken control of most of the business assets. However, I retained ownership of the trademark (registered under my name), the Brand Registry account, and the branded listings.

I’m now exploring the possibility of selling these assets to mitigate the loss. The listings have the highest number of reviews in the niche—nearly double that of the second-highest competitor—and maintain an average rating of 4.4 stars. I also have a fairly recent valuation conducted by a well-known broker site, which I can disclose if necessary. Would really appreciate any insights!

Ideas to sell through inventory quickly

Hi everyone. Some background - I've been a seller for 8 years and developed around 30 unique products to date, as well as successfully exited my first brand in 2023. I partnered up with an investor, created a new brand this year that by contract, we are putting up for sale in September 2025. Still after all these years, I made a rookie mistake. I launched a new product in April that took off due to summer seasonality. I underestimated the seasonal pattern and we invested around 35k too much in inventory to bridge Chinese New Year. Sales slowed down tremendously in the last month and we have quite high return rates. The product sells and would have been a great ASIN if I could just let it puddle along without the pressure of having 9000 units backed up in AWD. The issue is this: We have an improved, more profitable version ready to launch, but I cannot do that until I have disposed of these 9000 units. Due to the hard exit date for this brand, I need at least 6 months of 'clean' run time with the new ASIN that will replace this old ASIN, so it is super important that I can get rid of this stock within the next 4 months. I'm currently playing around with all kinds of deals, coupons, aggressive PPC and aggressive B2B pricing (As b2b orders in my experience have less returns). I'm ok to lose 25 % of the COGS and move on. I see our strategy as following:

  • PED 20% discount + Aggressive PPC
  • 10% off coupon for non Prime members + Aggressive PPC
  • Listing on eBay and hope to get some extra sales there
  • Reaching out to wholesalers or stock buyers (any input or tips here? very unexperienced with this)
  • Any other methods/tips/tricks that I'm not thinking of?

If all else fails, I can liquidate a portion of it through Amazon.

Thank you!

Question about listing photos

I seem to be having some blurriness problems with listing photos. What is the best process for uploading/creating photos for your amazon listing? And this goes for both listing photos and A+ content photos. I have the same issues for both areas. When amazon states the photo must be at least 1000 pixels but no bigger than 10,000 pixels, how are you going about this? Are you uploading at the minimum 1000 or somewhere in between? For A+ so far I'm finding that uploading at the exact minimum resolution seems to look the best. I find if I upload above the minimum resolution things start to look blurry and smudgy. Can anyone share any advice on how to create/upload these so they look the best?

Quantity is 1 but availability is 0. Bug?

What does "missing offer" mean?

I use inventory loader spreadsheet and set quantity to "1" for FBM. I upload then and listings say "missing offer" and shows "0" for availability. However, when I click "missing offer" to edit the listing it shows "1" for quantity.

Why is availability 0 yet the quantity is 1? This makes no sense.
