My yoke just came in today and the x axis is doing this. Is there anyway i can fix?

Flying the FBW a380 (loving it by the way 😍). Just put an emirates skin on it and noticed this small fan/propeller coming out under the wing. Didnt notice it yesterday when I was flying the FBW skin version, so wondering if it’s the livery causing an issue or something else. Anyone have a clue???

I'm a Paramedic for a Fire Department and work 24 hour shifts with plenty of downtime at my station. That being said, I ordered a laptop yesterday to take with me to work so I can have something to do during my said downtime. The laptop that I ordered has a Core Ultra 9 185h and 4080 and QHD Panel.

Anyone here running a 13900hx/14900hx with a 4080? Just wondering if you're happy with your sim experience. It's getting delivered tomorrow but I probably won't have everything loaded up and able to test until sometime on Sunday.

I'm mainly just curious to know what to expect from someone that has a similar system.

So far I've only seen people complaining about the voice not sounding exactly like the IRL RAAS, but they've already finished a new voice pack pre-release that basically sounds like the usual RAAS female voice. Hey guys, so I’ve been trying to download the A380 but the download keeps getting stuck every time at different percentages and now it’s stuck at 97% for like half an hour so I’m not sure what’s going wrong !

I'm on a 1080p monitor so I won't be seeing 4k anyway. I'm wondering if I can make a 2k version texture by reducing the resolution to 2048 in paint program and it would work for this plane? 2k still looks awesome on a 1080p monitor. Also wondering if a 2k resolution would make a difference performance wise with all the reports of low fps.

Flying in real heavies and then returning to fly the same route or aircraft in a simulator feels completely different—it’s an experience on its own.

Being able to recognize taxi routes in real OMDB , CYYZ , KBOS, KJFK is something different

In my opinion, the A380 offers the most comfortable business class. However, the economy class isn’t as great; the landing gear can be extremely loud in economy, although the space is generous.

On the other hand, the 777 and A350 provide the most comfortable economy seats and a smooth ride, with notably low sound levels. However, their business class isn’t as impressive as the A380, as they don’t offer fully flat beds.

My favourite is Emirates 777 and thats going to be my next one if flying.

I try to avoid flying on the 787 due to recent safety concerns lol

I'm by no means going to claim to be an MSFS expert, I had just gotten my head around P3D when I decided to make the switch, bought a new computer and have been bumbling my way through ever since!

I've made a number of flights in MSFS mainly using the PMDG 737 and the HPG H145, both of which are running fine maybe with slight performance hits at peaktimes on VATSIM at some of the busiest airports. I've today downloaded the new FBW A380 and it's near unusable with stuttering... the external view is like watching a powerpoint and looking around the cockpit is not allot better if I'm looking towards the terminal at the maccosim EGCC. I know its not optimised yet but I wanted to run it by the collective if my system is actually up to the job of running this sim and if there are any settings modifications I can make that will improve performance and still give me a fairly reasonable looking sim. The thing I'm finding the most confusing is it seems that nothing is bottlenecking to cause these stuttering issues (I've just attempted to clear the cache and that's not really solved the issues)

I've attached my settings and system specifications and a taskmanager readout of my performance while on the stand at EGCC in the A380.

I have the budget (and ram slots) at the moment to potentially double my ram if this is something that could help, but as I say, I'm not really sure where my bottleneck is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to set up a flight sim chair and I was thinking to go the VR way instead of multi-monitor and peripherals way, but I have no idea what VR headset would be good for this kind of set up. I know I don't want to go the Meta way (because fuck Facebook), so I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a good headset that has good graphics and mix reality so I can still see what I'm doing with hotas. Or any other pointers for a first time VRer

My biggest reasons for wanting to go VR is to get a better sense of positioning so that my nephew can use it to practice his VFR training, which is impossible with monitors.
