Does anyone know how i change from KG to Ibs in the aerobask phenom version 12.2r1. I have never had an issue and the other day the sim completely restarted itself and reinstalled but I see no option to convert in the Aerobask window. It’s not a huge deal because I can convert the numbers myself but i have been flying this plane for over a year now on the sim and never had this problem.

I keep having issues with my X-plane 12 regularly crashing. I have a 13" Macbook Pro M1 2020 with 16GB ram and running very low settings and getting around 20-35fps depending on where I am located (will add screenshot of my current graphics settings).

I checked my Application memory usage and it is getting close to 6GB while running, on the Xplane site it says it should not be over 3.5GB or it is likely to crash. To lower the amount I am meant to put lower settings, however I am confused as I have read many people that can run Xplane with my model laptop with better settings and no issues.

With the shown settings I have good fps and sometimes crash especially when using big planes or doing long routes, however when using payware planes I get less than 10fps and gave up on using them...

If anyone has any tips or tricks I am very thankful as this has been a pain to work with for a long time now... I am planning on getting a better setup but am still annoyed as I have seen and read about people not having any issue with my model mac running higher settings..

Dear friends, I use X-Plane for IFR currency and training. I run on a relatively oldish machine (GTX 1070 GPU) but in the conditions I run (cumulus overcast from 200 AGL to infinity) the machine is typically able to render at 60 FPS... because it turns out it's really easy to render a grey wall!

However, I see spikes of 100% CPU usage every 60 seconds lasting for 4-5 seconds each, where FPS goes down to 7. This is very regular and repeatable.

Is there any cleanup, or garbage collection or other task that your simulator schedules every minute?

Is there any mitigation I can put in place?

it could use some detailing, mainly on how quick the engines start, how the flight model is tuned, but overall very nice!

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has had issues after a sim session lasting over 8 hours. I have only recently upgraded to XP12 and having done 2 long hauls, both in the Felis 747, towards the end of the flight I start to get large FPS drops, down to about 10-15 for roughly 20 seconds, which happen approximately every minute. When investigating the cause, turning Live weather off fixed the problem. The log also showed that when xPilot detected the sim being at less than 20FPS, this coincided with the live weather download. I run an almost vanilla sim, with the Felis 747, some flywithlua scripts and Simheaven scenery, although the incident has occurred without Simheaven installed. Just wondering if anyone has come across this issue. Thanks.
