If you're new and looking to learn how to operate a new module, look into Tuesday Night Noob! This is a Multiplayer Training session that we run every Tuesday evening (usually starting at 8PM EST) on our dedicated Training Server. Note that this server is up 24/7, and is a great place to get started flying online!
Looking for realistic radios in DCS Multiplayer? Look into configuring/using DCS: SimpleRadio Standalone (a Multiplayer Radio enhancement similar to TARS/Aries).
Dedicated Servers:
We currently are hosting 4 multiplayer servers:
Georgia At War (GAW): A dynamic PvE mission that pits players against a custom-scripted AI REDFOR Commander who will direct enemy forces to stop your advances. The mission also features real world weather that is set at every restart, as well as persistent state saving between sessions.
GAW Server Info:

I'm blind in my right eye and can't use the hmd properly. Unfortunately I already used up my trial a couple months ago and didn't get the Apache because of performance. I've upgraded since and am considering it again but don't want to waste it if it won't work properly for me
Hello, i ve been flying the f-16 for a long time, i can ramp start take off land... Yet i get stuck with aar and the complex weapon system, is there any plane that has easy to remember system where i could just hop in do some pvp or a campaign without much prior studies
Edit: full fidelity please
As the title says is it possible to export the base inventory to a csv or txt file for record keeping during a campaign?
I recently started playing dcs, but playing on keyboard is getting really annoying. So does anyone have any recommendations for a good hotas under $100?
Does this all but confirm the updated F-5E is tee'd up for tomorrow's update?
I will eventually get them both, but not this year. I know they are 2 very different modules but I do like both old planes and attack helicopters so dont use "how they operate" as an argument. Use things like: number of player made missions, how well they combine with Syria, how fun they are... you know.
Help me guys!
I was looking at the Moza FFB Base and the reviews and Immobilier really interested by it.
To the owners, is it worth it, even with FBW planes ?
Is it noisy ? Don't want to wake up my family when i play at night..
Thanks !
I have a trackir5 and hate the tracking clip that comes with it, can i buy the Delanclip fusion wireless bit seperately and have it work with opentrack and the trackir 5 camera, or would i be better off buying the whole thing and just using that instead of the trackir 5

Hoggit Training Server runs a training MP mission that runs 24/7 that's focuses on training up the newer folks (just like this weekly thread). Every DCS module is available in this mission, and there are numerous ranges to test your skills at. There are frequently knowledgeable folks around to answer any questions you might have, or show you how to do what it is you're looking to learn. Anyone can join, even if you've never stepped foot in a MP session before.
^(If you're interested in teaching/instructing at hoggit, please poke squinkys on Discord!)
Server is be named Hoggit - Training Map
. The password is hoggit1fw
. SRS will be available at tnn.hoggitworld.com
(it should autoconnect, but if not, use that). Come in, have a good time, learn a few things and teach a few things.
The only rule is Do not teamkill, unless the other party is a willing combatant...ie: you can dogfight if you find a partner...just don't shoot down some random A-10 trying to learn how to land.

Perhaps a silly question to the most experienced out there, but I will pick up a terrain to expand my experience with the Tomcat. I am still learning, and will mainly play solo for the foreseeable future. Do you guys advise one over the other between these 2?
When I look at the campaign for sale, Persian Gulf only has one whereas Nevada Test Range is needed for 3 out of 4 campaigns there.
At the same time, not sure how this will impact multiplayer once I will decide to try it. I look forward to your guys' advice
This Christmas I am looking forward to buying my first set up to play DCS and I wanted to share it here looking for tips. I am buying a VKB gladiator nxt premium right, a TWCS throttle, and a Tracknp 5 set I found on Amazon. Should I be buying different things or is this good to start? I live in EU, Italy specifically.
I know there's probably only like five people using this HOTAS for DCS, but since I haven't really been able to find any layouts online I figured I would share what I came up with. The main problem is theres only one hat switch on the joystick so it has to be mapped to like five different things through the use of modifiers. The buttons at the base of the joystick can really be used for whatever you want, I think only the paddle switch is required. I don't have rudder pedals so the brakes are mapped to what is normally the speed brake axis, and honestly it works pretty well lol. If anyone knows any other important buttons to map I'd love to hear them. I'm still a noob with the F-16 so advice is greatly appreciated!
Hey everyone,
I'm making a foray into DCS and want to take advantage of the current sale. In addition to the Su-25T and the A-4, I've trialed a few modules so far (the Su-33, the Su-27, and the Viggen). I haven't found my niche yet (A2A v. A2G, Modern v. Cold War) and have only scratched the surface when it comes to piloting and combat, but I aspire to fly on multiplayer servers and get into dynamic campaigns. The one thing I know about myself as a pilot is I like flying fast.
Here's the mix I'm thinking of getting as a starting point:
Does this make sense to start? Any changes you would recommend?
Thanks,
Hi i just checked discord today and saw this message from a RAZBAM developer in their discord server.
i need it for slewing missles and such, the problem is, to get it to start registering when i move it, i need to "warm it up" by moving side to side a ton for like a minute, then it will start working like normal, why?
Is there somewhere I can go to get reliable feedback on a PC build I’m planning to purchase?
I put together a build based on TomCats DCS VR guide but when I post in places like PCMasterRace, I’m told my build is outdated and bad price to performance. Everyone seems to recommend AMD builds which Tomcat said to stay away from.
Where can I get solid feedback for building a DCS PC?
I've got myself a Thrustmaster T.flight HOTAS and wanna try out the F18, I'm learning it rn and almost done. I'm here to ask if there is any guide to binding with the Thrustmaster T.flight on the F18. Yes, there's not a lot of buttons but I can use 3 modifiers and the keyboard. Don't come here and say get a better one. I just wanna get started with something small that can do the job. Thanks in advance :)
Hi there, I'm concerned about my safety. I bought a creality ender 3V2 with the 5W laser but I don't trust the glasses that come in the box at all. I've read on the laser that the wavelength is 455 nm. Can anyone's recommend some good safety glasses on Amazon? My budget would be max 40€. My dream is to be a pilot so my eyes are the most precious thing ever. I don't want to ruin them in any way. When I buy safety glasses I would put them on with the one that come in the box for extra protection. So I would have 2 safety glasses on at the same time. I would also build a very large cardboard box to put on the 3D printer when it's engraving to that I'm completely sure that no laser light can come at me. Is this enough protection? Do I need to do something else? Is having 2 safety glasses on at once good or do they contrast each other? What are the best safety glasses for that wavelength on Amazon (40€). Thanks in advance, I'm really really concerned about my eyes, I don't want to ruin them not even ONE LITTLE BIT. Thanks.
i have an I5 11400f, 16gb of ram, and a gtx 980TI, i could swap in an RX 570 (8gb) because i just have one laying around.
Hi there, I want to start 3D printing my own panels, I would print them in light diffusing filament, paint them black and then engrave them. My question is, which is the best filament to diffuse the backlight? White? Transparent? Would white actually diffuse light or would it block it? Thanks in advance!
First time VR user, purchased a Quest 3 after weighing up it and the Pimax Crystal Light. I half entertained trying to come up with funds for a Somnium VR 1 for all of half a day before I decided that was ridiculous.
In the end I chose the quest 3 as I wanted pass through and hand tracking. I also had concerns about Pimax quality. The bigger sweet spot on the quest three was probably the final deciding factor, and coupled with the pimax quality issues is why I didn't splash out for an OG Crystal.
Some background - I'm a RL pilot with low level, aerobatic, and formation experience.
I fired up the quest 3 in dcs tonight and whipped around in the hornet free flight mission for ten minutes.
My first thoughts : fucking blown away. Clarity seemed fine to me. I couldn't see any screen door effect. I could look around without moving my head and not notice any blurriness. I was blasting around the valleys low level and was it not for my wife giggling at how much fun I was having I could have been in the hornet. My body was sweating, I was having to stop myself from wanting to AGSM. I was anticipating airframe buffet that never came.
If you are on the fence, and your system can run it, I don't think you will be dissapointed with the quest 3.
The planned update has been moved to December 4th because of internal checks, according to Eagle Dynamics.

So I installed syria map and ah64 that I got in the autumn sale. And after installing, 2 issues have come up that I have never experienced previously.
I repaired my dcs folder but no joy. Im positively bamboozled. My assumption is, its a USB issue. Because I have about 11 things connected to my pc.
It works, I can detect contacts and stuff. But it's just so dim and red.
I bought the f4 phantom as my first module. Probably not the best first step but oh well. Can I use the phantom in this server? If not I’ll be in the frogfoot.
