I just started season 9 and I do not want to watch it just because I do not know what I will watch later.
I always get that feeling whenever I finish a show or a series, just feels empty and I am bored as hell for a week or two.
I want to get into some other series before I finish this, so the moment I am done with this I just go to that series.
What is the best one to watch after The Flash? I was thinking Arrow or maybe Legends of Tomorrow. What would be the best one?
Whenever Barry is right about something he gets all frantic and they treat him like a mad man 😭 like with DeVoe and mirror iris he was right but he got locked up! Poor poor Barry 😪
Took them wayyyyyy too long to realize it maybe it’s bc we knew but the mirror version of iris was obviously trying to ruin Barry and Iris’ relationship and they went about it really quickly which made it obvious the stuff it did was out of character for Iris I think they should’ve had it so they either realized Iris wasn’t Iris sooner or made the mirror version be much less obvious
In season 6, it’s explained in a flashback that Barry destabilized Rodrick by throwing lightning that collided with Hartleys sound blast. How does Barry throw lightning here? It’s established in the pre crisis timeline that Barry learns to throw lightning in season 2, after Hunter Zolomon teaches him, long after Barry fought Hartley. My theory is, since all the preexisting earths merged, including the one with Hunter Zolomon, that he came pretending to be Jay a lot sooner, and then taught Barry how to throw the lightning. Either that, or he fights sandman sooner and Eobard teaches him how to throw lightning similar to how he taught him how to phase.
They were literally nasty and awful friends to Barry. I honestly wish Barry was more defensive, and not a brat that they wipe their feet on.
I thought it was very hypocritical of Sara especially because she tried several times to kill Damien in the past and save her sister.
Diggle’s feelings toward Barry were not clear. He never had two kids he had one kid and Flashpoint turned her into a boy, to only Barry so why would he even care that his daughter is a boy now when it was always a boy to him.
Cisco’s anger never felt justified to me. Yes, Barry going back in time and creating Flashpoint created the events that led to him trying to fix it. Dante died in a car accident that Barry really had nothing to do with. The timeline that Barry returned to was different than the one he left. Who’s to say that Dante wouldn’t have still died in a car accident? More than that though, they (Team Flash) should have had more sympathy for Barry knowing everything he lost and how he just wanted to bring his parents back. Cisco himself sold Barry out for the sake of himself and his brother. His anger just felt so hypocritical.
And it was Eobard that went back in time and killed Nora in the past. Technically, Barry fixed everything.
I quite liked armageddon mainly due to the overall plot line, as well as Damien Darhk. I really want to mnow what the general concensus is on these few episodes
S8E1
Barry somehow gets whacked by Despero despite being able to pause time earlier in the episode
S8E2
Barry, instead of staying home when Despero tells him that in the next 24 hours that he will goes insane, he continues to put himself in stressful situations. Barry also gets ambushed by Xotar despite being able to pause time in the last episode.
S8E3
Barry, instead of taking the meat-human cure, decides to get tortured by Jefferson
S8E4
Somehow, Thawne returned, because Barry let him go at the end of s7. It is then revealed that for the past 6 months, Barry had been living in Reverse-Flash Point. So the time that Barry attacked the cops, it was actually Thawne. From Armageddon 1-3 Team Flash has been working with what they think is Thawne but ignore it for plot. Thawne then goes on to say that he killed Barry when he was 11. Thawne's team blames Barry for the death of The Legends and Cisco when he couldn't have considering he died at 11. Team Flash should have no clue who Barry is considering he died at 11. Barry than tries reconnecting with Iris to reconnect with the Speed Force, which shouldn't work because Iris has no emotional attachment with Barry and thinks that he is a psychopath.
S8E5
Thawne shows up at CCPD, tortures a bunch of cops, tries to kill Mia, than insists that Barry saves him. Barry then decides to let Thawne be erased from the timeline. Joe receives a character assassination by claiming that if they let Thawne die then they are no better than he is. Joe was the one who shot Harry without a second thought in s2 just because he looked like Thawne. Joe is perfectly willing to let a man who by all rights should already be dead due to Eddie dying. Barry then decides to pull a OP Power out of nowhere and Force Lightning Thane until his connection to the Negative Speed Force is erased. Erasing his connection would do nothing- if only it would ensure that he would die.
TLDR: Armageddon was utter bat dookie
I'm being think about this after it was brought up to me.
If Barry didn't destroy Thawne's time machine after deciding not to change the past and let him go back to the future, what would Thawne have done once he returned there?
Well if she ever became unemployed she could hire herself out as a blacklight for crime scenes or rave parties
They really dragged that shit through the mud huh? Like I get it the guys brother died. But from what I recall pre flashpoint he and Dante were never that close. Yes it seemed like they were on a path of reconciliation but I don't think they were ever that close which makes the whole schtick of him being mad at Barry hold little to no weight and almost comes across as childish and frankly petty.
Also I hate how Invasion seemingly undoes some of his character development in this storyline by bringing it up yet again with his big outburst in front of the whole team while training with supergirl. Literally putting the mission at risk. When earlier in the season Cisco seems like he realized he might be overthinking it a bit when he recalled giving up Barry's identity to Snart when Iris calls him out on it. (Love this moment btw) And realizing he wasn't exactly Mr perfect either. You would have hoped that would have been it but nope. They bring it up again and again and again and again. It's like just let it go dude. Omg. Anyway end rant lol.
SPOILER WARNING
My favorite thing about the show is Tom Cavanaghas reverse flash. How fracking good is he? All 9 years I just wanted to see him shrap on Barry's life.
In my opinion season 5 is the season where I started to dislike the show, what about u?
OK I just started season 9. (btw 8 wasn't that bad) and noticed that they mention Catco. media wanting to buy Iris little news outlet to expand her empire.... But isn't Cat Grant on another Earth or is she and Supergirl on the same Earth as The Flash?
Honestly, I feel like for the most part, this would be a net positive for Thawne.
If Barry had to deal with other speedsters in addition to Thawne himself, it would definitely give him more motivation to get faster since he would be always on his toes, not knowing when another rogue speedster would show up.
Granted there are some possible downsides to this, like for example one of these hypothetical speedsters trying to jump Thawne when he's alone which would put him in more risk of suspension if he was able to survive an attack by a speedster while being paralyzed, assuming if said speedster doesn't suffer from a convenient case of stupidity anyway.
Thoughts?
If I'm not mistaken, while you're in the temporal zone, you're not affected by changes to the timeline. So if Ray and Sarah know Diggle personally, shouldn't they notice that Diggle had a son instead of a daughter. Unless his changes that Flashpoint caused affect the legends even in the temporal zone. The legends should still have memories of the other timeline.
Thinking of doing a little Flash rewrite so I started rewatching the show in preparation.
In season 2 we get the reveal that Jay Garrick (the first one) is actually a time remnant of Hunter Zolomon. After rewatching I’m now a bit confused on the implication of this. Is Fake Jay aware that he is a clone of Zoom or not? Season 3 establishes that time remnants can take on new personalities based on their experiences so it’s not impossible that this remnant ends up thinking he’s Jay for real. It would also explain the amount of times it feels like Fake Jay is genuinely trying to help the team and directly going against Zoom’s interests. But also the way Hunter talks about knowing what’s going on with Team Flash makes it seem like he meets up with his double once a week to get updates
Is anyone sure of what’s actually supposed to be going on?
(Also just to throw this out there, might be a hot take but I prefer Fake Jay’s suit and his overall performance as Jay Garrick. I like the old fashioned tone he brings to it while still being a pretty youthful guy. I know Jay at the time he meets Barry is usually older but Teddy Sears is the guy I imagine running around WWII fighting Nazis with Wonder Woman)
Not only do they forgive and let off superpowered criminals who've murdered, in one episode which I will never forget, instead of helping an 18yr old kid who was scared of dying from aging, they joked about his condition and only considered what it would take to stop him citing his aging as a method to be used against him; then instead of trying to reason with him, help him or put him in a meta dampening cell which may have helped him they instead focused on aging him which eventually killed him, an 18yr old by the way, suffering, scared and terrified... its like they just wanted him dead
