It wasn't created with the intention of doing this, but I think the Crisis on Infinite Earths Trilogy was used to close out every single live-action/animated DC universe that you could think of.
I'm talking, the DCEU, the Arrowverse, and even the Batman: Arkhamverse, in addition to the DC Animated Movie Universe/Tomorrowverse. As well as ALL the movies/TV shows confirmed to have existed with the multiverses of those 3 universes. And even the video games, movies, and TV shows (live-action or otherwise) adjacent to all of them that aren't living on as Elseworlds tales.
Just remember, when Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths was announced in last year's San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed as a DC Universe Movie, while Watchmen (announced the same time) was revealed as a DC Animated Movie.
This could explain why almost everything DC related from the Time Warner/WarnerMedia era (outside of comics) either came to a close, or was released no later than this year, including Superman & Lois.
• DCEU closes out in 2023 (Shazam 2, The Flash, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman 2).
• Arrowverse closes out earlier that year with The Flash.
• Excluding Superman & Lois, the DC TV shows adjacent to the Arrowverse (Naomi, Gotham Knights,Titans, Doom Patrol, Stargirl, Gotham, Pennyworth, Krypton, Constantine, and Lucifer) were all done by 2023.
• An animated Kingdom Come movie planned after the Crisis on Infinite Earths Trilogy was scrapped.
• Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League was released in early 2024 after constantly kicking down the can of a release date.
• Both Greg Berlanti (Arrowverse creator), and Butch Lukic (Tomorrowverse producer) have both stated the ball is officially in James Gunn's hands.
• DCEU was connected to the Schumacher Batman universe at the end of The Flash so that both of them would be wiped out in one-fell-swoop, along with everything else.
Now, full disclosure, I am pretty biased as Wally is my favorite DC character, but I think there are a lot of good arguments to be made for it.
For one, it fits into the idea they're already running with that this universe is already well established, and that heroes have been around for a while. Hal Jordan is planned to be older, and the JLI is already around. With that in mind, a Wally West that has grown up and taken his uncle's mantle fits in just fine.
Secondly, Barry Allen has had his turn. He had a 9 season TV show and was featured prominently in the previous universe. I think it's really time to move on from that, as the Flash as a franchise for decades has been so much more than just Barry.
Thirdly, a highly important element of Flash mythos that has been neglected in adaptations is legacy, and I can't think of a better way to demonstrate that than through Wally. Blue Beetle showed that you don't need to have a bunch of prior films to introduce a legacy character, and they could always use flashbacks to fill in the gaps here and there.
Anyway, that's my take. If I had to guess, I'd imagine they'll play it simple and go with Barry, but I think that would be a missed opportunity. I just hope we don't get another story about him crying about his mommy. That's been done to death.

Rewatching Man of Steel and Batman V Superman, I'm pretty shocked that the film [ZSJL] LACKS lot of the musical continuity that was established and progressed upon in the previous two films. Some staple tracks were barely interwoven into the SCORE for Zack Snyder's Justice League. Is there any reason from Junkie XL as to why the score is so different? I don't think Zimmer's Kryptonian ambiance is in the film much [e.g., "Look to the Stars, Krypton's last, Day of the Dead, If You Love These People], Junkie XL's Batman's theme from BVS (Men are Good (The Batman Suite)) isn't expanded on either. Correct me if I am wrong, but Zimmer's motifs for Lex Luthor are also not in the film!
Was this just a missed opportunity? If I'm wrong, then please correct me. I plan on rewatching the film tonight.
He’s a superhero!
As I remember I bought BvS:UE long time ago and I wanted to check store again but I couldn’t find the ultimate version. When I go into standart version weirdly there’s both resume and buy button even I bought it. As I see I can still watch Ultimate Edition -even there isn’t direct access- so what happened to Ultimate?
