headed to breckenridge for the first time to snowboard in february. looking at airbnbs and would prefer to stay near resort so we can either take shuttle to resort or even get a ski in/out place. where else do folks stay at (town-wise) if they don’t stay in breckenridge in case we want options? we’ll have a car and would be ok with 30 min drives if we can’t find anything in breck within our budget. tia!
We will be in Silverthorne for NYE and wondering what type of low key things we can do that evening. I’m hesitant to drive into Breck bc I don’t want to get stuck in traffic on the way back. Any suggestions for Silverthorne, Frisco or Dillon?
Just move over. That’s all, carry on…
Hi! So my girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Breckenridge this Christmas and had a few questions. First, we’ll be driving from Texas. Will I need AWD on my car for the snow? Or are snow tires good enough? Second, is it even a smart idea to drive from Texas to Colorado?
wondering if anybody knows of public access microwaves around town — maybe at the welcome center? or even at the ski resort? in one of the restaurants. i’m often in town with a lunch i like to microwave — the library doesn’t have one! thanks in advance
Has anyone had any trouble with getting answers from employee housing?? I’ve been on hold with them for 20 mins right now. Are they usually this hard to deal with?
NVM PEOPLE I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE FOR HOUSING!
First trip to Colorado never snowboarded outside nm so I’m curious what it will be like in Breckenridge?
We are visiting Breckenridge next week on Wednesday with family and we are driving I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about how dangerous I-70 can be is there any other routes to get to Breckenridge without having to drive I-70? Also things that yall recommend thank you in advance 😊
Also to add* we want to visit Georgetown, vail and Estes park if we were to flight do shuttles take you there?
Family is here for the weekend for a wedding today (Thursday) and a small group of us staying until Sunday to explore.
We don’t ski or snowboard - but we’re open to other winter activities like snowshoeing or snowmobiling. Also want to shop at good shops, eat good food, and experience anything really unique to this area (besides getting altitude sickness because ✅).
Any recommendations are appreciated!
looking for ideas for fun things to do on NYE, tia
Thank you!
Really trying to reserve a place in Breckenridge for Thanksgiving break. Anyone have input on going airbnb or finding a cabin? Never been before!
How much of the mountain will be open tomorrow? What does coverage look like on the closed parts?
Hi Folks, looking for advice. Wife and I are vacationing in Colorado December 7-14th. First, we're visiting my family in Firestone & Boulder area for 2 days, and then we're going to hang out in Estes Park for 2 more days. After that, we have about ~2-3 days to play with. Should we spend them in Aspen, Steamboat Springs, or Breckenridge?
Important to note we are not skiing, snowboarding, or doing any other type of winter sport activities. We love hiking, but no skiing or anything. So please factor that out of the equation. I've been to CO several times, but my wife on the other hand has not. We are purposely going in December to have a beautiful, charming, winter wonderland, Christmas village experience. Looking for great bars & restaurants, walkable downtowns, fun things to do, etc. Let me know what to do!! TIA
We are looking for a hair and makeup stylist, cake, and possibly a photographer. We both love in Foco, and I would love to have someone closer on our day. I would like to keep the hair and makeup under 1000 dollars if possible. Thanks ◡̈
Is it worth coming out for opening weekend this Friday? Is there more than a few runs or is it at least fairly open?
I may need to take the PCC from Alma to Breck a few times this season and wanted some info. Is it usually pretty full? The website says skiiers are welcome, but will the "locals" give me te stink-eye if I roll up with my skis?
It says tickets cost $1.75 each way, but couldn't figure out how/where to pre-buy tickets. How do you pay?
I’m planning a trip December 15th to breck was wondering how the conditions are and how much of the mountain is usually open that time of year
Planning a trip to Breckenridge in a few weeks, and we’re debating on renting a car or riding a shuttle from Denver airport. What would be best? Looks like chains are a requirement to get to Breckenridge. We’re from Alabama, so we haven’t really driven in the snow. If shuttle is the best option, which ones are best?
So close to open
I was told we just put the ski pants over the long underwear, is that correct? if not what else would we wear? And then for the ski pants, what kind of belt do you wear?
Hey everyone! Im visiting Breckenridge from the 11-15th of november, Im trying to hire ski lessons but everything I find online starts after the 15th. Does anyone know or recommend a company/FL instructor that I can hire? thankssss
I have a 2WD Rav4 w all-season tires.... do you think it's a big deal that I don't AWD if I will just be driving between Keystone Ski Resort and Breckenridge Ski Resort all winter?
Best night out spots for a Saturday night in Breckenridge ?
Hi Guys, this may be a silly question but this will be our first time in Colorado and on the slopes. We found a place to rent our ski gear but when we get to PEAK 8 or 9 do we pay to ski when we get there? How much is parking at the Peaks. Any help would be appreciated.
Saw an Epic Day pass? is this something you can access the peaks with? Just a little confused!
