Hi everyone, I’m hoping to live full time in Summit County within the next year and in the front range insurance companies are already starting to drop people I know in all over (Arvada and evergreen etc)which is definitely very concerning. With the growing risk of wildfires, I’m curious if it’s been difficult for people to secure homeowners or renters insurance in summit county? Are your rates higher because of this, and is it tough to find coverage at all? I want to live in summit and raise my family there but I don’t want to have insurance companies completely price me out or not be able to find coverage.
Hey guys, I’ve decided im going to do a little “funemployment” type of year this year. For background im 28F, been living in Denver now for 3 years, working as a nurse for the last 5 years. But this year I decided Im sick of my big girl job and wanna do something fun 😂
I’m going to work PRN at a hospital out there (don’t wanna say which one for security reasons but I have already been hired and secured this spot) For the winter im thinking either ski patrol or liftie work, probably at copper. But for the summer im wondering where i should work? I want to do something fun that aligns with my hobbies, either hiking, rock climbing or snowboarding. I did already apply to be a snowboarding instructor at copper for the summer.
Pay doesn’t really matter much to me, i just want a fun job that I enjoy and to work with cool people.
With the 2024 vail resorts/ t-mobile partnership how is present day coverage on mountain? We will have kids skiing and some parents in river run. Will we have continus cell phone service or need to wire up radios? It's been 10 years since last trip!
Staying in Silverthorne till Saturday, flight leaves Denver 12:30PM. Should we cut our stay short and get out of the area Friday? Maybe try to stay close by the airport Friday night or move flight up?
Just curious what i70 travel will be like, and also what happens to flights in these storms? TIA
Looking for cleaners in the summit area mostly Dillion frisco Breckenridge area. Who are willing to pick up some extra work here and there nothing full time. DMs are open. Would love to meet and talk further. Recommendations are also welcome thanks y’all!
I highly recommend you check out this list. You never know when you might be working with a chomo.
Kind of grasping at straws here, but hoping someone can help. Back in the 90's my dad used to take us to this big hotel/lodge in Silverthorne every winter. There was a heated indoor/outdoor pool, it was very rustic and wood-cabin vibes, I remember we'd stay in this 2-story room with a loft. The entrance to the hotel/lodge was very grand with an large elk-antler chandelier.
I'd love to take my kids to it now, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Does it still exist?
Headed to summit county next week. Planning on hitting the slopes Tuesday and Wednesday. Where would be the least crowded place. I am not very good and just looking for some good wide runs lol. Also putting our kids in ski school Monday, and if they enjoy it putting them with us in another lesson on Tuesday/ Wednesday!! Any suggestions? TIA
Also random but would a guided ice fishing trip be worth it ??
I'll be starting a good paying job in silverthorne at a dealership and Craigslist is a lot more dead then it used to be back when I lived up there. Other then Facebook (cause I haven't used a Facebook in years and my brand new account is probably making people suspicious) , anyone have advice for finding a rental/room for at least a month? Any hotels or hostels? 6 month leases etc. I know it's a bitch and half but reddit comes thru for me. Thanks
Hi, midwesterner here. Got invited to a wedding in Frisco this upcoming Memorial Day weekend, and still deciding if we will attend. Part of what will help me decide whether or not to attend depends on what else we could do with our time for a long weekend there.
My partner and I really like outdoor activities like hiking and riding bikes. But, what will be realistic for us to do in late May? My limited knowledge makes it seem like conditions for many activities will be really iffy. So, am I overthinking things and it’s worth the visit? Or will we be bummed about the options at that time of year.
Looking for recommendations for a bakery or local baker that could provide small desserts for our wedding reception, and make a small cake for the bride/groom to cut for photos and enjoy later. Thanks!
Anyone knows if I can get over the air TV in Breckenridge?
Those of yall in Dillon and Silverthorne - what are you doing for NYE. We were going to head into Breck but I keep looking out my window and seeing that never ending trail of red lights and just can’t bring myself to venture out into that traffic. I asked my kids if they would be disappointed if they missed the firework show and they said no. Wondering if there is anything local of if we should just plan to stay in instead.
Looking for best option to rent snowboard and boots for the season in the area. I’m a keystone epic employee as well if any deals there
I have an Ioniq 5 AWD and debating whether or not to put snow tires on? I'm in summit for the season and likely will not be back for a full season like this with a car
Hi I’m starting a ski job in keystone next week but didn’t get access to any parking. What are my options? Is Denver the closest option? Thanks
How much is a 5-day pass to Breckenridge in mid-Feb. (adult or Senior)
If anybody has an open parking spot, I can camp in overnight for this ski season close to Keystone or Breck for free or for cash let me know.

Colorado KiteForce doesn’t seem to operate anymore; are there any other snowkiting instructors or gear rentals in the area for learning on lake Dillon?
I’m not too familiar with the area these days. Any good places that would be interested in buying an unused snowboard?
After 24 years of making memories in Breck, we are packing up. Any suggestions for affordable moving supplies in Summit Co? (Boxes, bubble wrap, packing tape, etc). Thanks
What sort of fees are folks paying on the selling and buying side on Summit County these days? I'm curious what sorts of rates people are negotiating
I’m looking for a place to camp in my truck overnight by Keystone. Does anybody have any open lots or any spots?
Staying in Silverthorne 12.14-12.24 with my 60lb pitmix and 45lb English bulldog. Both are people and dog friendly and ready to explore. What are some dog friendly activities/places both indoors and out to seek out? Thank you in advance.
I have family coming to visit for the holidays and would like ideas for things to do with them while they are here. They don’t ski or snowboard.
