Drove out to Summit from California to start a new life with my partner. Unfortunately she kicked my small dog and I out of the car that was our temporary home. Am currently awaiting a bed offer from Keystone as I've already been approved.
32 year old male, clean, kind and considerate.
8 year old Beagle-Papillon. Very well behaved and good with cats and other dogs.
Is there anywhere still in Summit county you can camp overnight close to Breckenridge or Keystone?
My body is sore from skiing and I need to bust.. Do I have to go to denver?
Hey does anyone have any great or terrible experiences they want to share?
I’m coming to my cousins wedding this weekend. I’m transgender, but not out to my family. Is there a decent lgbtq community in summit county? What are some good bars and restaurants in Dillon/silverthorn?
Hey there, planned a family trip to Silverthorne in January. We will be there for 6 nights. We have a 2-4 Y/o. We are renting a house and wanting to let the kids experience snow for the first time. Anyone recommend favorite activities/food in silverthorne / summit county? TIA
Also dumb question, historically speaking there should be snow on ground in silverthorne in January? lol

Colorado office seekers routinely make their stances known on issues like the economy, taxes, energy development and gun control. But as more people struggle with mental health challenges, state candidates should let voters know how they stand on mental health policy, too.

Will the Swan Mountain flyer be active this winter to abasin? With there new parking nonsense I’d love to start using it to save some money. The information on their website is outdated and leads to dead links.
How is the DMV in frisco?
Need to get a drivers license by the 25th and no available appointments until 11/7.
Do they take walk-ins?
I'm looking for insight or advice on my next housing situation. A little background and information about myself. I'm a single 31 year old male, with a 65 lbs chocolate lab that plans to move near Silverthorne, CO, by March 2025. My job is letting me relocate to the Silverthorne facility and I have worked it out with management to let me transfer beginning of March next year. I have a younger brother who will be 28 years old and moving out with me. We have lived together for years and get along great. He has a WFH position that he will be able to continue while moving to a new state. I plan to put my house for sale in early February and my realtor believes I should net ~$75k respectfully.
From our months of preparation and research we've came up with a goal to move out and find temporary housing, gain residency and apply for SCHA affordable housing lotteries that become available around the Silverthorne vicinity. I would love information on the process and anyone's insight if they were ever fortunate enough to win a SCHA lottery and what to expect or not expect.
With all of this information, I now ask, if you were in my brother and I's situation would you find a 2 bedroom rental that allows pets or buy a manufactured home? Renting we would pay a max of $3500/month but would probably be stuck in a year long lease gaining zero equity. Where the manufactured home we wouldn't want to spend more than $200k. The manufactured home will be on leased land so we still would have a lot fee of around $1200/month. We have considered renting/owning in surrounding areas like Kremmling, Dumont, Idaho Springs. Leadville and more but ideally with my work situation and the mountain weather I should be near Silverthorne as much as possible. We are open to nearby towns and understand there's a very limited amount of options available that meet our criteria. With this information what would you suggest we do for housing? Thanks!
Moving to silverthorne and just trying to get all this set up. Any recommendations of who to use helps me a lot. TIA
Where would someone look to find a room? I’m WFH and have a dog. Keep running into the no pets problem or needing year leases.
Hey all my cousin is in town for a little while he's 18 and I've been wondering where people that age hand out. I'm in my 30s and have been in the community for most of my life but at his age I was just hanging out with the friends I already had.
I haven't fished Dillon reservoir in years. I'm looking at going next weekend after a slight bit of rain is expected and was wondering if anyone has had any success fishing from the shore with lures, flies or bait? And if so if anyone would be interested in sharing their tips! Much appreciated
Hi all, my family visits the Keystone/Dillon area often but we always are heavily ski focused. Keystone, Breck, Vail, up on the slopes are a happy place…for about half my family. We don’t have kids and the others enjoy walks but are not physically up for big hikes or skiing.
Looking for any activities in the area that we could do as a family…anything from a day trip to Leadville (thinking silver dollar saloon, mining museum, melly/shopping, maybe a brewery, etc). We have done downtown Breck a lot but maybe we missed something?
Everyone is into history and even some antiquing. Open to options and glad to share more about the fam if you have questions.
We will be there early December as an early ‘family Christmas’ as we will not be together for the actual holidays. Thanks in advance!
Hey there r/summit. Will be visiting the area soon and was wondering if there are any gyms In the Silverthorne area that have regular pick-up basketball games? Thanks in advance!
*title typo....basketball!
Someone sold me tickets that say "Accessible Seating GA" on them and I am seeing on the Dillon website that it says this:
"ATTENTION: You are purchasing one or more accessible seats. Accessible seating is reserved for individuals with disabilities and their companions.
By continuing with your purchase, you attest that you require, or are purchasing at least one ticket for someone who requires, the features of an accessible seat. If there is good cause to believe accessible seating has been purchased in violation of this policy, the purchaser and ticketed party may be subject to investigation, denial of entry, relocation and/or ejection from the venue.
Refunds may not be given for violation of this policy."
Can someone clarify if I am going to get arrested if I try to use these tickets?
I’m moving to summit for work and I’ve been looking for a rental property. I was wondering if there are more options available in the summer? I was considering temporarily moving into a 6 month lease place and then looking for something more permanent in April if more options would open up at that time. Any advice?
I have some old gear I would like to refurbish/repurpose . I have a heavy duty sewing machine but need to buy the supplies. Is there anywhere local that sells these items? I know I can order online but I would rather spend my money at local shops. Is there anywhere in Summit County that sells nylon webbing, outdoor fabric, toggles, buckles, clasps, heavy duty zippers, paracord?
What is the best resource for finding a rental property? I haven’t needed to rent in a very long time so I’m new at this.
Im considering a job offer in summit county and want to check out the real estate situation. Can I get into a house (can be tiny) for under 700k? I’m open to townhouses but want a yard (I have dogs).
Places to go and places not to go?
