Serious question. Starting to see a rapid influx of Haitian immigrants move in with very “interesting” energy.
I manage a cleaning business in Worcester, we don't have a physical address / office so we are unable to verify our google business page. Google sends a letter to a address with a verification code to verify businesses. We are offering $40 for someone to let us send a verification letter to their house and send us the code. Your address will not be public and is only to show google we are in the area.
If you are interested text me at 615 591 3657
or email us heritagecleaners@mail.com
Thank you
I just saw them go up Tory Fort Lane and turn down to the pond. Hope everyone's OK. Make that 6 ambulances.
It's about as bad as anyonee with any sense would have predicted. This piece is only on the excessive force portion of the report. https://thisweekinworcester.com/doj-report-wpd-excessive-force-120924/
I’ve recently moved to Worcester from Nj and have had stomach issues since I’ve move here. I’m a super clean eater and I’m convinced that the food quality / water in Worcester might be tainted. Every single time I’ve gone out to a restaurant the quality is equivalent to cruise liner food. (Very bad) even produce in the market looks super sad and the water quality at home has parasites. I use a Berkey filter and every time I drink the water I genuinely feel sick….plz share any articles or info or similar experiences
looking for one ticket to the morbid angel show tomorrow. dm if you have one
Does anyone have a recommendation for a snow shoveler in the Oak Hill / Vernon Hill area? Need someone for this winter season to shovel & salt the front of our three-family building's sidewalk & entry, no driveway. Thanks so much in advance!
My property manager sent me this video of a porch pirate stealing almost $200 of my stuff. Fuck these people.
Hi! This has been asked a few times but I think a lot of info is outdated. Does anyone have any recommendations for apartments?? We are particularly looking at and interested in opinions on:
145 Front at City Square
The Grid
Junction Shop Lofts
Kelley Square Lofts
Alta on the Row
The 6Hundred
For context, we are a couple in our mid 20s, one of us is a student, and we have a small dog! We are relocating so any information on Worcester in general, as well as recommendations would be helpful! Thank you so much :)
Anyone know where we might be able to get a pic with santa?
How are the fights on average each game? I’ve heard things are more dirty in the minor leagues, curious how it is at a typical railers game.
USA HERE WE COME!
Hey all you wild rock 'n' roll souls out there! We’re The Fiends of Dope Island, your friendly neighborhood tribute to The Cramps, straight outta Amsterdam, and we’ve got some BIG news: we’re heading to the USA in July 2025!
Here’s the deal: we’re flying into Boston on July 1st, and we’ll be crawling back to Amsterdam on July 28th. So far, we know we’ll hit up Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, and we’re toying with the idea of also playing shows in a lot of cities and towns in between (because why the hell not?).
Here’s an extra fun fact for you: our frontman is originally from the United States, so this tour is a bit of a homecoming for him! But making this wild ride happen isn’t cheap—flights, vans, gas, and all that good stuff add up fast. That’s why we’re especially looking for paid gigs to help us keep this dream alive.
THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN! As previously mentioned we're not just looking at the big cities; we want to bring the madness to smaller towns and local scenes too. Whether it’s a dive bar, a DIY venue, or the back room of some weird little club, we want to play wherever the fiends are ready to party.
We need YOUR tips:
- Cool venues (big or small) where we should play
- Local bookers who can help us out
- Other bands who’d like to share a bill with us
To give you a taste of what we bring, here’s a clip of us live in Amsterdam. (Trust us, it gets messy ). Check it out and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram:

Who gets a 7% increase within a year time span and 3-4% guaranteed annual increases and $1,500 monthly stipend.
Wow.
He's not that special....
"If the previously negotiated three-year contract went into effect, Batista's starting salary would increase 3.7% to $293,868, starting Dec. 31. He would then get a 3.9% raise to $305,223 starting July 1, 2025, and a 2.9% raise to $314,080 starting July 1, 2026.
A new term in the proposed agreement states that at all times, Batista's annual base salary shall be $10,000 above the annual base salary of the next-highest-paid city employee, including Worcester Public Schools employees. There would be a monthly stipend of $1,500 net of all deductions for the cost of Batista's personal vehicle. His severance period would also be increased from six to 12 months."
I don't see the article online, yet, but Diamond Hearts Art Studio is featured in this month's "New in the Woo" article!

This just popped up in my YouTube feed. An interesting watch and mostly a history lesson. Dude’s pronunciation of Quinsigamond was bonkers.
Looking for recommendations for local move. Thanks
I’ve been on the fence about cancelling my monthly parking membership at one of the lots downtown until I saw this on my morning stroll. It’s truly a shame that if you want to live downtown you’re subject to paying 100-150 a month just to securely park your vehicle. Be careful guys
I have a 2 month old that I take on daily walks and kind of over going to typical outside spots to walk (lake park, dean park in Shrewsbury etc).
Idk if it would be weird but my husband and I talk about just parking in random neighborhoods and walking around there (we like to look at beautiful houses, but not in a creepy way lol)
Just wondering what areas have pretty flat streets and areas to walk in. Like maybe the west side?
Any ideas to make one outdoor walks better let me know!
Hiyo! I’m not from Worcester, but nearby Hartford. I like your city and its vibe. Sometimes I like to stop by once in a while and chill at a few places.
A go-to spot was Redemption Rock on Shrewsbury St - I saw on social media that they might be closing? I’d be really sad. I have a sticker from them on a houseplant that’s been on there since 2021.
Are there any similar brew spots around? I was looking at Greater Good Imperial Brew Co., which looks promising and very unique. Maybe Double Down Brewing Co.? Weirdly not late hours though.
I’m already plenty familiar with Treehouse Brewing Co., no introduction needed lol.
Throw your recommendations my way - thanks!
