I bought a bottle of benromach but when it arrived the box and the label where a bit wet. It also looks like it lost a bit of whisky but if a leave it upside down for a bit it doesnt leak. I dont want to open it if i have to send it back. Could the cork be bad? or what could be the problem?
Any recommendations will be received gratefully.
I found it from my grandma's house

Why is it impossible to get auction sights to deliver to Spain? Is there any way around this?
Which of these would you recommend I buy? I have a £5 off voucher as a new customer and I live near the shop so no postage costs!
Looking at hosting a dinner party with 3/4 courses (final menu TBD - there will be one vegetarian) and boilermaker pairing for each course. Looking for recommendations on the whisky and beer pairings. Thinking along the lines of:
Charcuterie board + Nikka whisky FTB with ?XPA?
Pork belly burnt ends, coleslaw and cornbread + Glendronach allardice with ?kolsch?
Smoked rib eye, mac and cheese and something that makes us feel like we’re healthy/ veg option for the vegos + Talisker 10/ Oban 14 with ?some kind of pale ale?
Sticky date pudding, vanilla ban ice cream (probably won’t make this from scratch) + red breast 12 CS with a ?chocolate stout?
Open to all suggestions, drink ordering and pairing.

So, I'm a UK resident travelling around SE Asia for a bit and from some research prior to leaving I discovered that a lot of the major cities have some lovely whisky bars that I wanted to try.
So far the only city I've done this in is Ho Chi Minh, but the experience there wasn't great across a couple of bars - I tried a Longrow Peated, Teeling single malt and a Paul John and on all of them the nose was lovely and to be expected, but on the palette I found them massively lacking.
This got me thinking about the whisky experience in Vietnam/SE Asia as a whole and in my head I've narrowed this down to three possible explanations to try and understand why I found the palette so flat after the nose:
What do you guys think? Have you guys had any experience sampling whiskies while travelling? What did you think?
Seen some bloody good stuff posted on here lately, wondering if I should sell this bad boy…
Found a miniature in the cupboard so decided to have a school night Whisky
More of a Tequila guy, but giving whisky a go go this year.. First bottle is this.. thoughts?
Found this bottle in my dad’s bar. Any guesses about the year?
I dabble more often in rum, and use the amazing app RumX to find an overview of rum offers and retailers across Europe. Is there an equivalent for whisky? Like an overview of retailers where good offers can be found? Or perhaps an app that works the same way as RumX?
Found this in an al
So all ive had in my whole life is cheap vodka and rum cola, i recently bought a bottle of black&white and fell in love with the taste and feel on the rocks.
i wanted to treat myself with something nice, i was looking at buchanans 12 and black label, too much money to spend on booze, i ended up finding jim beam black for 22$, is it a good choice? Its the best i could find for its price 🥲
I love good flavour over alcohol content, so i thought it'd be nice.
Good purchase? (It hasnt arrived yet)
I will buy whiskey from duty free on Thursday for around 60-70 euros. What are your suggestions?
