And my new esquire build. What an awesome pour. Need to get the rye mash bill as well.
The two sweetnesses go together well.
Have one friend coming over later. Wish us luck!
Which one do you prefer? Blanton's or Stagg Jr?! These are 2 are in my S-tier for sure but having a hard time deciding which one is better. They are both exceptional, but as much as I love Stagg Jr...I have Blanton's SFTB a slight notch ahead. Such an incredible nose as soon as we popped her open...candied fruit powerhouse that finishes smoky, sweet and smooth. Both are amazing pours. And any suggestions for bottles that might contend with these bad boys that aren't named George T Stagg or Pappy? lol
Cheers 😎🥃
Already had a pour of jd barrel proof rye, Blantons, and four roses
Picked up a few exclusive distillery only bottles. From left to right.
Bardstown single barrel “ first Saturday in may”
Evan Williams Masters Blend
OCD # 5 ( old crow distillery )
Buzzard Roost store pick ( Evergreen Liquor ) ( not distillery exclusive)
Angels envy single barrel
Peerless single barrel.
Bottled the larceny with a tag and dipped both 46s.
Came across this in seoul, does anyone have any experience tasting it? Couldnt find anything online about this whisky, any help is appreciated. Wondering if its better than the 10CS..
Thanks
So I'm no cognoscenti, which means I can't talk about notes, profile, etc. Stated drinking whiskeys just a few years ago and have started expanding my palate. The only one I I don't do, for now, is peated scotch.
That said, I got the Wellers after having some Special Reserve a few months ago and liked it, while I've obviously had the Woodford Reserve for a while, and I got the Antique 107 just because.
Unsurprisingly, I enjoyed all three. Of the bunch, I'd have to say that the Special Reserve was the least smooth with a little more bite than the other two. They were pretty even. After the tasting, I'd say they're pretty even with the WRDO a bit less expensive and thus a better deal.
Clearly, more testing is required. So much fun...
Help me choose which one to open this weekend!
No preference re finish etc
PS not the Signet as i just finished one, and maybe not "The Lakes" as it seems pretty hot at auctions right now.
Making some bottle samples to some good people. Pipe dream it’s really good for 90 proof it’s smooth when you let it sit I give it a 8
The quote is credited to John Wayne but he never actually said it. Anyone else have a favorite whiskey glass?
