The cells have voltage when I click this button it doesn’t turn on
There is a hissing sound coming from the battery
I bought my first "good" mini-pliers, Piergiacomi PN-2007 (sold in the US under brand Hakko). They have very good reviews @ Amazon, but I noticed that one review complained about misaligned jaws, which look roughly like in my specimen. If you look closely, you will notice that the last 1.5mm or so of the jaws were filed down at the protruding sides (before paintjob, they are actually black), so that they align flush at the very tip. The hinge is light, but there is no play.
This makes me think of 2 options:
WDYT? Should I return them?
Anyone own these or the equivalent? Is it worth buying the set or just the ones for turbo bolts I’d actually use? Up in the air on my choice right now
I would like to get a small blade Makita miter saw for its portability but I really like being able to cut a 3.5 inch miter vertically so that pretty much leaves me with Milwaukee and DeWalt.
Using a battery adapter has anyone used the Makita battery on the Milwaukee fuel saws? How did it perform/ work out?
Can anyone tell me the difference between Model #32500HDRT vs Model #32500HDRTG? These are sold at my local Lowe’s and one is $10 more. I tried looking it up on Kline’s website and they don’t have Model #32500HDRTG.
So im looking for a tether to use up ladders, to hold hand tools and drills whilst working on the side of buildings. Any ideas on a good brand/system to use? Hopefully something certified aswell.
First time homebuyer, and I’ve slowly been replacing all of my beginner-grade tools with the black and yellow!
I’m looking for an all in one solution to take some tools with me for a temporary relocation. I’d like to get a rolling solution that can keep a couple of power tools together with some basic hand tools. I’m just a diver, so something like Packout seems like overkill, so have been looking at the rolling cantilever toolboxes like this:
Curious if anyone has used one and can speak to the durability/quality.
As the title says, looking for a rivet gun or aluminum rivets that don’t suck. I’ve got an older Arrow gun, and an el cheapo from Harbor Freight. Just about every rivet, the stem (name?) gets stuck in the gun… Anyone else? Rivets themself are a cheap no name pack from Amazon, so not ruling out that’s the issue…
I have a lot of screwdriver bits from screwdriver sets. The most useful ones are flat head, hex, torx, and security torx.
I want to use these bits while working on my bike, but often I need to product more torque than a screwdriver can offer. I also occasionally need a long shaft which my screwdriver does not have.
Is there anything like in the picture that can take interchangeable screwdriver bits?
I need to build a garden bed. I’m looking at nail guns, but there are so many different types to choose from. Would an 18 gauge nail hold the wood together or would I need 18 gauge? They are also the ones that have angles to the gun and others that are straight. I’m not sure which one to look for.
You can imagine my excitement when I saw that one of these were being sold for only 25 bucks. "Works well. Just need it gone." Posted only 2 hours prior. They never go for under 100 typically. This kind of deal is like a gold nugget amongst the rubble of people selling "vintage" (aka 1980s) power tools for more than they're worth. My current bandsaw is an absolute P.O.S. delta BS-100. I bought it for $75. Absolutely not worth even that price but maybe I'm being spoiled in saying that.
So of course I tell the guy, hey I can meet you whenever. Today. Tomorrow. Doesn't matter as long as we just secure this deal now. I made it clear that I'm trying to lock it down; a guarantee that I will buy it. And we do secure the deal. For 1pm the following day.
So as the hour approaches, I pull up messenger to see what's up. And apparently he had messaged me at 7:00 am to ask if we're still on for 1pm. It is almost 1pm now. And I tell him yeah send me the location and I'll leave now.
But alas, he tells me someone will be there in 15 mins to get it. If he doesn't show up, he'll let me know.
Now, I blamed myself for this at first (due to the missed confirmation.) But it's been eating at me a bit. That's the entire point of a handshake, no? You have my word that I will buy it from you specifically. And in exchange, I have your word that you will sell it to me and not someone else at the first possible convenience.
Anyway. Similar stories are welcome. I'd love to hear them.
I have a Bosch BT300 and love how sturdy this tripod is. One reason this is so sturdy is the laser mount doesn't tilt leaving one less point that can get loose. I am trying to locate an adapter that will have a 5/8 mount hole to mount a tiltable accessory so for the times I need to strike a line between to uneven points I can setup the accessory to mount my laser to. One example would be aligning a stair hand railing on a deck or home.
I have been looking to get a pass through socket set the Kline a gear wrench both look decent any options on those or other brands
I am trying to find these for a small project. Does anyone know what it is? Or where to find it?
