Looking for private cantonese lessons

Hello, I‘m looking for private in person cantonese lessons. I work part time and it’s hard for me to participate in strictly structured language courses. So if you know someone with a flexible schedule that would be willing to privately tutor me, I‘d be glad if you could answer on this post or dm me.

My cantonese level is zero. I really don’t know how to self study a language and I really dislike online lessons, that’s why I’m here looking for lessons. The lessons could be in english, german or portuguese (my japanese is not good enough to learn another language with it).

As for location, any public places along the Chūō-Sōbu Line would definitely work for me. But I’m open for any ideas of course.

Sorry if this is a really long text. I just dislike getting too many comments like "Why don’t you take online lessons?“ or so.

Thank you for reading through this. I‘d be glad if this post somehow helps me.

Anyone knows what the rally in Ikebokuro was about?

At the park right next to sunshine city there was a big rally, and I was curious about it.

Looking for a specific hair service in Tokyo

Hi everyone - my girlfriend has recently moved to Japan and is trying to find a hairdresser that can lift her sewn in hair extensions. I believe the specific kind of extension is called a weft hair extension.

We have so far had no luck across Tokyo, so this is a last ditch to see if the brains trust here knows any salons that can work with weft hair extensions.

TIA

Shibuya dancing people

Has anyone here seen the weird dancing people near/around Shibuya station? I first noticed them around 2 years ago but today I saw them again while driving. There was a group of 4 spread out on the pedestrian overpass. Other times I have seen them near the central exit by the crosswalk.

They do these weird movements as if they were dancing. Some look like they were waterbending. Others looked like they were possessed by an evil spirit.

Are they some sort of cult? They don't wear any specific uniform or have any advertising of what they believe in if they were. They don't bother anyone either. They just do their thing.

Museums/places to go after 5pm - no alcohol

So my school schedule just changed from morning class to afternoon class which ends at 5pm. Before class would end at 12 pm, and I could travel to random spots like chichibu, okutama, every museum etc etc.

But now all museums, parks etc seems to close at 5pm. Except the digital ones. I can't travel to the random places no more, cuz the sun sets around 6pm and normally takes 1 hour to travel to each place.

Any suggestions to places/museums etc to go after 5 pm?

What’s the Deal with JapanLife Mods?

Posted a thread talking about a bad experience with staff at Shinagawa Immigration, had a few snarky comments as expected, but nothing terrible.

A certain 1k karma mod came through and inexplicably locked the thread. I messaged him to ask why and edited the thread because it was locked.

Around an hour later the thread gets nuked and I get banned, and then immediately muted.

What gives?

Swingers / happening bars / lifestyle in Tokyo or Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara)

Hi everyone,
I am a Swiss guy, 30 yo, good looking (I can share photos once we get to know each other better), living in Japan since a few years. My Japanese level is close to inexistant.
I would be interested in trying the happening bar's / private sex parties in Tokyo or Kansai areas. I have some experience of the lifestyle.

Do you have recommendations please ?

I'm straight but open to any group configuration (MMF - I wouldn't do anything with the other guy though - , cuckhold couple, FFM, and bigger groups too) - or simply with a F.

Feel free to DM me, I will reply to all messages.

Area for Diamond?

Hello, my fiance and I are looking into buying the diamond ring together for our upcoming wedding.

We want to take a look at both high end brands and also no brand but legit diamond stores. For example in Seoul, Korea, there is a area called Jongro (종로) where there are many legit diamond vendors where you can get bigger rock (basically same rock as Tiffany or Cartier) much cheaper since it does not have 'brand' engraved inside of the ring.

Is there an area like that in Tokyo? For us, unless its high end brand (tiff, cartier or mikimoto - probably smaller rock but its a brand), we would rather get a completely no brand diamond ring (much bigger rock but no brand). just a preference.

thanks!

Extra Disney Resort tickets

I purchased extra Disney resort tickets for someone who can’t come with for April 11th and 12th. For both Disneyland and DisneySea. If anyone interested, I’d gladly give them to you. Better than having them go to waste. Feel free to let me know if you’re interested. Thanks 🙏🏼 😊

Can I give gifts to the police?

We’re tourists and my dad lost his wallet in Kamata. We went to the police station and they were SOOO helpful even though they weren’t fluent in English. They never got frustrated and they were genuine and sincere.

If and when we find the wallet, I wanna gift them something (maybe like coffee) but idk if it’s allowed? Will it be considered bribery or something?
