Hi, I’m looking for a full time job in Osaka/Tokyo. I currently live in Osaka. I have permanent residency but my Japanese is N3 level and I am fluent in English. I graduated university last year.
I have experience in marketing and hospitality. I’m open to any type of job if it offers training.
If you have any recommendations for where to look please help a girl out 🥹.
Thank you!
I've met japanse people from Osaka living abroad and I would like to bring something that remind them home, what's particular regarding Osaka people/culture? Like some candy/food, toy, etc that is more particular in Osaka than in any other city?
Thanks in advance!
We are currently staying in Osaka and we heard that there is the Osaka Art Firework in Rinku Park today. Unfortunately there are no tickets left for the event.
Does anyone know a spot where we could still see the firework?
Hello, I am a 24 yo male. I've been in japan for a year and a half as a language student and I'd like to start looking for a job that sponsors visa. I got a bachelor degree in economics and management in my country and came here after. I don't have experience in anything except maybe working a part time at an Izakaya for 1year+. I do speak English, French and Arabic at almost fluent level with the need of just a bit of practice since I don't use them much here. for Japanese, while I don't have a problem with speaking, I failed the N2 in July and planning to take it again in December, I'm sure 99% I'll get it with my current level and I'll still aim to get the N1 no matter how many tries it takes. So my question is, How realistic is it to find a job in japan with a profile like mine, I used to find a lot of job opportunities on indeed etc that accepts people without experience but I'm sure its directed to Japanese people. If possible, I'd like to do an IT job even if it's vague when I say it like this, but is it realistic to find one with a profile like mine, if not, What are other jobs I can do that can sponsor visas, I'm confident in my learning skill if someone takes the time to teach me, since I pick up most of what I'm taught. I still have till April to find a job. I'm still not really knowledgeable about a lot of jobs on the market in japan since in my home country, you can't work something that's not related to your degree. Thanks to anyone that takes the time to read and reply to this !
Hello,
I spent some time online searching for that information but I just cannot find it. There are a few bars and izakayas that allow smoking but I am looking for public designated areas (like in some malls or hôtels, unfortunately my current hotel doesn't have one). I know they exist, but I don't know how to find them, is there any app or website to reference them please ? Is there any in the streets ? I found some on Tokyo last week but not here yet (but I just arrived though)
Thanks

Hi folks, I posted yesterday asking if someone wants to join me for the Hiatus Kaiyote concert, but it turns out I can't make it >.< I have two tickets, they're already paid for, you just gotta pay issuing fee from Family Mart. Doors at 6pm, concert start at 7pm, at Osaka Castle Music Hall. I'll give them for free as long as you promise to use them 🙇
Is there any shops currently in osaka that carries grave idol cards? Specifically those blind packs.

Ive been in osaka for the past week staying near the dotonburi area and I noticed that there has been a bunch of guys on motorbikes revving their engines extremely loudly even in the middle of the night.
Just wondering if this is acceptable? Im staying on the 12th floor of my hotel and the sound wakes me up.
Edit: thanks for all the responses! Didnt mean any offense, was genuinely curious with regards to this hence the post!
I love American style hot wings to death, but I haven't found any good places to grab a bite to eat, I've been living here for 7 months and I can't stave off the craving. Can anybody tell me some good options in the Osaka / Kansai area?
Thank you.
Does anyone know of a place in Osaka that sells Vietnamese Avocado Ice Cream (Kem Bo)? I was looking to buy some for a Christmas present, but haven't had any luck. There are some restaurants that say they have it, but they never seem to have it when I'm there. Also, I'd prefer not to buy a bowl of it, but rather a tub of it for a present.
Does anyone know a place where I can buy avocado ice cream?
Hi everyone! I have an extra ticket tomorrow for the Hiatus Kaiyote concert at Osaka Castle tomorrow (Nov 1st). I haven't been able to find anyone irl to come with me (I'm living in Tokyo, so I don't know many people in Osaka), so I figured I'd put it out here! Open invite, no need to pay for the ticket, just buy me a drink :) I'd just be happy if another fan is able to see the band and the ticket doesn't go to waste.
Hope this post is okay. Cheers!

My company is going to work/deliver 11+ pavilions but we still cannot manage to get Expo Visas or business visas. I heard other Expo staff got their visas within 2 weeks, and im trying to reach out to them and research myself. Thought of asking here, try my luck!

Anyone knows where I may possibly find a mould for paper lamps in the Osaka area? (Kyoto or Kobe would be fine too)
Something like this: https://mingeiarchive.com/products/lantern-mold
Don't mind if it's made new, or would be even better if it's as historied as the one in the link.
I know it's a pretty niche object so I'm really just trying my luck, but thanks in advance!
