I’m in Nagoya now and I’m thinking whether I should sleep early or check out what’s happening tonight. Any live music event happening around Sakae tonight? Let me know please. Thanks!
I'm going to go out for dinner / drinks and then to a couple bars in Sakae tonight and plan to be out pretty late. I didn't want to pay for a hotel on the off chance I meet someone and end up going home with them or something, but I figured I'd just crash in a karaoke place or cafe after the bar if I don't have any luck.
The thing is I have plans again from 11 AM in Nagoya, so I'd like to properly sleep and not just wait for the first train back. Can anyone recommend any specific net cafes, karaoke places, or other options that would allow me to sleep from about 4AM to 10AM on an as-needed basis without a reservation?
It's just a normal Saturday, but the hotel prices look a lot higher than when I checked a few weeks ago and a lot of them seem full now? I was just gonna grab a cheap business hotel for like 4,500 yen nearby was my original plan. I don't want to spend much more than that.
On another note, anyone want to come eat gyoza with me around 6 or join me for the gay bars later?
I am going to Nagoya by Feb 2-6, and I need help to find guitars such brands as Ibanez. Are there guitar stores that have their online pages so I can look online?
Visiting Nagoya in Late December to Early January with my family (with 2 baby siblings), so we'll also be celebrating our New Years there.
Looking for underrated (aside from Legoland etc.) places in and around Nagoya that are open in the holidays (about a 30-1hr drive). Would be interested in really cool nature sites (cool rock formations?), flea markets/handmade jewelry, and artsy clothes. I think a local concert/music performance would be fun as well! I enjoy more 'indie' or artsy places.
If you could recommend anything cool, and also traditions/festivals to do on new years eve/day I'd really appreciate it ^^
Nakamura ward? Nagoya station?Good proximity to train station, with restaurants and convenient stores nearby
We are arriving to Nagoya station and only have a few hours to visit. We don't want to wander too far from the station. Is there a nice park nearby to take a walk and have a coffee or tea? Or maybe a shopping area or a fun store for gadgets, etc? thank your for your ideas !
Happy Halloween everyone.

Guys, any suggest for one day trip from nagoya via JR? We purchased Takayama Alpine Matsumoto tourist pass and still 1 day free before it expire.
Hello,
I am planning on coming to Nagoya next October 2025 for language school with my husband for a year. We would like to have a decently sized apartment if possible 45 ish square meters would be nice. We will not have jobs immediately but we will have about 7-8 million yen saved to start out. I would love to have a place that allows a car just so we can do some longer road trips and also go to Costco lol. Preferably not paper thin walls because we have this situation in our current apartment back home. I know this maybe is expecting a lot.
Will this be difficult because we are language students for 1 year? Even if we have a lot of savings? I understand we can go through a company as a guarantor. Any advice is helpful for places to look and companies to work through, thank you.
Hi folks, where can I find recent Japanese pieces of literature in English here?
Is this night market happening tonight? It's the one by the Naya Bridge.
I’m excited to share that I’m offering English lessons and would love to help anyone looking to improve their skills! I’ve had the pleasure of teaching older Japanese students in the past, and we had a wonderful experience together—teaching them was a joy!
My rate starts at 1500 yen, and if you’re coming from outside Toyota, I would just ask for a little help with my train fare.
If this sounds like something you or someone you know might be interested in, please feel free to reach out. Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you!
