Hiii!! I’m obsessed with the French Toast at Smart Coffee. With my time in Kyoto coming to an end, does anyone know how to dupe the recipe at all? My google-fu has proved inadequate. Thank you all!
I have an extra nintendo museum ticket available for tomorrow (Monday) at 1400 entry. I think I can transfer it to you. Any takers?
Edit: CLAIMED
No longer have time to attend the NAKED Autumn Festival 2024 at Nijo Castle. If anyone is interested in taking our two tickets, PM me and I can email you the QR codes for entry. We purchased weekend admission but can use on weekdays too. FCFS.
I am going to Kyoto Japan this weekend and I have no idea where people gather to play Pogo events. This weekend there will be Lapras gigantamax and I don't want to miss it. If anyone knows where should I go or at least who should I ask, please share it to me.
Looking for recommendations for places to have a family celebratory dinner in Kyoto.
We're from Australia but the family has a long connection with Japan. My wife lived and worked in Osaka for 2 years and my parents have been travelling to Japan every year for 10 years visiting lots of different parts and I've been a number of times too.
It's my mums 70th May next year and there's 8 of us (6 adults and 2 kids) travelling to Japan to celebrate and will be in Kyoto on her birthday.
I'm looking for any recommendations on special places we could have a birthday dinner.
Hello! I live in Osaka and I tried to get the tickets to Ichiko Aobas Kyoto's concert and they were sold out in the first minute. How is that possible. Could it be bots? Ghibli museum was easier lol. Is there any chance thay a ticket may come avaiable again if someone cancels?
Many thanks
Hi all. I'll be living in Fushimi from January through the end of April while I go to school. What are your favorite places/activities in and around Fushimi? I'm really into history, so anything historical is a plus. I won't be too far from Uji, so anything in that area works too.
https://rurikoin.komyoji.com/admission/ It is one of the main things I want to see in Kyoto, so wanted to make sure I do not make mistakes. I am there from 9-11 December. Am I correct that I should buy tickets at the counter? And should I go early because of a lot of visitors? I am also not sure what completely closed means in the English Google Translate? "Please come directly from October 1st to November 8th and December 2nd to December 15th, as these are not reservation periods. 9:00-18:00 (completely closed) during reservation periods only"

Hello everyone, I would like to know if there are any stores or place in Kyoto which let you test you Fragnance before purchasing? Or a website where you can purchase Fragnance sampler?
Thank you
Anyone feel a rumble , movement?
I've moved to Kyoto for a year to study Japanese and am hoping to start taking some kind of ceramics or pottery classes. Ideally I would like somewhere I could go to once or twice a week but am flexible! As my Japanese improves it would be ideal if there was some level of english (I'm currently working towards the JLPT N4 level).
If anyone has had a good experience with a one off class or workshop I'm also really interested in that!
Thank you :)
Where can I find diapers in Kyoto? I’m running out of diapers for my child 😭 thank you!
Is there open play pickleball in Kyoto or close by?
Hi! I am soon moving to Kyoto for my masters in Kyoto university. Coming with my 4year old daughter. Pls suggest good international kindergarten/schools for her. Also, please suggest which area should I stay ( close proximity to the University and her school)
I see this ray of light and it's really pretty, anyone know where it's coming from or what it is
I just went back from Takao to Hozukyo hike. It has very beautiful right now where you can see few temples with foliage such as Jingo-ji and Saimyo-ji. The hike is ended around Arashiyama.
It is not crowded and it is an easy hike with well maintained path.
I followed the path from this link: https://www.insidekyoto.com/takao-hozukyo-hike-via-kiyotaki-kuya-no-taki-waterfall
This is the short video that I took on Friday (Nov 22, 2024) so you can decide if it is worth it.
