Heads up: if you live in IN your state & presidential primaries are 5/7/24. If you live in WV, MD and NE, your state and presidential primaries are 5/14. If you live in GA, KY, ID & OR you have state primaries 5/21: KY and OR have presidential primaries 5/21 also. Please plan to vote in the Democratic primaries in your state. And to help you pick the best candidate, load the address you are registered at at the Blue Voter Guide website. This website provides you all Democratic candidates running down to county levels AND the organizations endorsing them.
Please consider attending this meeting. Useful information likely will be provided to help get out the vote, and we need every voter out there in the primaries and in the 11/5 General Election. This is Sun 1/28 5 pm est. Again, some of the strategies should be useful to get out the vote. Website to sign up is: https://mobilize.us/s/qsZS44
Indivisible has a tool called Neighbor to Neighbor. When you put in your address, you are provided the names and addresses of 5 people near you who vote Democrat. This program is available in the IL-14 Congressional District and in the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, GA, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, WA, and WI. I used it and it was great to meet some sane neighbors and give them voting information.
Get your list of neighbors here: https://indivisibleproject.formstack.com/forms/neighbor_to_neighbor

Cook rates this race as lean Democrat. I am not convinced we need to call out the vote here (there are 31 critical races rated toss ups), but this is a request from Pramila Jayapal to call out the vote for Progressive Mike Levin in CA on Tuesday 9/27 at 7:30 est/4:30 pst, and Pramila is super progressive! Marty Heyen must resign immediately. There is a change.org petition started.
Here is a post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/SALEM/comments/hf8i7x/a_website_and_petition_has_been_created_calling/
Since Oregon has a closed primary, you will need to be registered as a Democrat to vote in the primary. Unaffiliated voters are the second largest group of voters in Oregon, almost tied with Democrats, and none of them will be able to vote in the primary. If you want to vote in the Democratic primary, your party needs to be listed as Democrat at the time of the election. You can update your registration here: https://secure.sos.state.or.us/orestar/vr/showVoterSearch.do?lang=eng&source=SOS
If you are not already registered, you can register here: https://sos.oregon.gov/voting/Pages/registration.aspx?lang=en
I live in Baertschiger Jr.'s (OR-2 R) district, and this place seems like a conservative paradise.
What happened in the senate infuriates me. The west coast is typically one of the first regions to sign onto progressive things like the US Climate Alliance, NPVIC, and marijuana legalization.
The audacity of the OR Senate republicans to choose carbon regulation as the hill they die pisses me off, and also the fact that Peter Courtney enabled them.
Is there something we can do to prevent them from doing this again?
Spread The Word:
I'm here with a list of candidates to raise attention on their races. I'm only here to help. If this is wrong in anyway to post, I apologize. So, don't only support Bernie Sanders. It'll help if we elect people like him to the two chambers of Congress. I've managed to gather a group of progressives we can help get into Congress. I'll also be adding open seats in case there is interest in the progressive movement to get a candidate to run for that race. Let's support these other populists for House & Senate as well if you can:
Albert Lee - OR-03 https://albertlee2020.com/
Mark Gamba - OR-05 https://markgamba.com/
So, maybe everyone & anyone who reads this can not only pass this along to family, friends, & other people, but to the people in charge of Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, Brand New Congress, The PCCC, & anywhere else I'm not thinking of & haven't heard of. If anyone has any candidates running whom are not on this list, let me know. I'll be trying to update this in the middle & at the end of every month, probably until the 2020 elections.
