List Of New Mexico Progressive Candidates For 2020 Congress

    Spread The Word:

I'm here with a list of candidates to raise attention on their races. I'm only here to help. If this is wrong in anyway to post, I apologize. So, don't only support Bernie Sanders. It'll help if we elect people like him to the two chambers of Congress. I've managed to gather a group of progressives we can help get into Congress. I'll also be adding open seats in case there is interest in the progressive movement to get a candidate to run for that race. Let's support these other populists for House & Senate as well if you can:

    Ben Ray Lujan - NM-SEN https://www.benrlujan.com/

    Maggie Toulouse Oliver - NM-SEN https://www.maggietoulouseoliverforsenate.com/

So, maybe everyone & anyone who reads this can not only pass this along to family, friends, & other people, but to the people in charge of Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, Brand New Congress, The PCCC, & anywhere else I'm not thinking of & haven't heard of. If anyone has any candidates running whom are not on this list, let me know. I'll be trying to update this in the middle & at the end of every month, probably until the 2020 elections.

Civilian Led Policing will be in Albuquerque on Wednesday! Come find out about our model of police reform!

    Hello!

The Civilian Led Policing model is based around independent, civilian commissions which are chosen via a lottery system with equitable representation. The civilian commissions give the public safety commissioner direction with policy standards and best practices. They will take a holistic approach to pull ideas from many disciplines in order to actualize the long term best interests of the community. We believe that police departments should work on going after the causes of crime rather than the symptoms. You can find out more information on our website.

We will be at the Erna Fergusson Library from 6:30-7:30PM MDT on Wednesday (June 21st) where you can come meet us and hear about the model! The Facebook event for this can be found on our Facebook Page. If you have any questions you can send us a message!

    Political Revolution doesn't understand

I urge all of you to ignore this subs attempt to smear the progressive name of Sen. Heinrich. If you are concerned with his vote, call the find out his reasoning. But these people on this sub don't understand NM politics, and they don't know how progressive Heinrich really is.

Official VOTE! Publicly Funding Elections/Sick Leave in BernCo! Sept. 8th, Thursday at 2PM!

On Thursday, Sept. 8th, the Bernalillo County Commission will be voting to place both increasing public election funding available to ABQ mayoral candidates and an earned sick leave initiative on the November ballot. This meeting is in the Vincent E. Griego Chambers. 1 Civic Plz NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102-2108. Here's a Facebook event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/343176282686842/ .

Our grassroots group here at OurRevolutionNM is encouraging all people in the area to attend the meeting in support of reducing the influence of big money in our local elections and protecting workers. These are NOT guaranteed to be on the ballot and the elected members of the commission need to hear from you to make sure they are on the ballot. We must show that we are still engaged!

"I do not believe people fought and died for our right to vote so billionaires could buy elections."- Sen. Bernie Sanders

Join us and other alllies to make sure the voices of the people are heard loud and clear. A central plank of Senator Bernie Sander's campaign was making sure big money has less influence on our elections. This is a DIRECT ACTION to make that happen here in New Mexico. Let the people VOTE!

We know 2pm is a difficult time for many working people to be there. We believe that time was chosen to depress the turnout for this important meeting. Let's show them that we will still show up!

If you would like to speak, sign up at this link BEFORE 12 PM on 9/8/16. You will need to create an account: http://bernalillocountynm.iqm2.com/Citizens/Detail_Meeting.aspx?ID=1641
