I know I know, but it’s part of my “See a Jets Game in Every Stadium” tour. I have the AirBnB but I wanted to know if anyone knows any Jets tailgates that tour away games I can still sign up for. Also advice for what to pack for a game this cold. Thanks everyone.
My friend is putting together a collage of the Jets. Not just any collage. It is a collage of the Jets anytime they have been ripped on, made fun of, or referenced in movies or social media. We need your help. An example would be the kid in Big Daddy. Ted Lasso saying losing like the Jets. You get it.
Woody owns the team and he has two incompetent young sons apparently having significant sway in team activities.
Does this mean these kids will inherit the team from Woody and continue to run the franchise into the ground until they are in their 70s like their dad?
That would mean another 50+ years of dysfunction ahead of us.
That's a seriously depressing thought. Tell me if I'm wrong here.

On the Jets app for season holders The date and time used to say 1/5 @1pm Then that changed to 1/5 @TBD Now it’s TBD @ TBD. Nothing has been updated yet but just looking to see if anyone knows anything about it and if it is changed or what the deal is with this?
Yes I recognize the timing of this post is a little ironic given the most-recent Athletic article, but I was debating going to the last game of the year if tix are cheap enough to celebrate new employment.
More specifically, has anyone attended Fan appreciation day in the past and have any experience? Do players mingle with fans after? Will it be 50/50 dolphins fans? Thanks for the insights!
Feel like he got good hands like pass to him more. Idk Dustin Keller was the last legit TE in a minute
It's ALL out in the open now. The blocking of sound decision making by the people who are supposed to, the lack of accountability, the micro-management, the locker-room horror stories...
Quite frankly, if ANYTHING is going to embarrass the fuck out of Woody and his dipshit son, this should be it. If he's as IN-TUNE with his fanbase as he pretends to be, maybe this will be a real fucking wake up call for him to keep his old-ass, impatient, greedy little fingers out of everything and let the football people do the football things.
We all would love for him to sell the team, but we know that's not happening. But God, if this leads to at least a bit of self-reflection, it could be a good thing. We're used to being the butt of every joke around the league as fans. Maybe Woody won't like that he, SPECIFICALLY, is the butt of the joke, and possibly think twice about how he goes about business.
And for God's sake, man the fuck up and tell your spoiled rotten, punch face kids that the locker room is off limits.
I'm in my early 60's and I've been been a fan since the Namath days (post SB III) and I've been waiting my whole life to see this team reach a Super Bowl. I've seen the good Jets and (mostly) the bad Jet and I've stuck with them through it all. I thought it was bad under Kotite but this the state of the team under this owner is so much worse. Coaches can be fired and if ownership cares they are, but fans are stuck with shitty owners, and we seem to have one of the shittiest. But I'll save my bitching about the Johnson's for another post.
Should we continue to support this team with this current regime? I've never thought about jumping ship before this season. The latest events make me realize I may die without ever seeing my team win a Super Bowl and it makes me sad and angry. Ownership doesn't care and runs the team like a hobby instead of a football team. I'm just disgusted with the whole thing. I still watch every game but I have to admit, I switch to Red Zone during the game more than I used to and it's more depressing seeing how good teams operate.
How do you guys feel about it? Have you thought about switching teams after being a lifelong Jets fan?
Here’s a copy of what I posted in the two nfl subreddits…
Check this on the NY Times/Athletic…. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6005172/2024/12/19/woody-johnson-jets-madden-sons/
Even if you don’t care about the Jets, it’s still a must read…. especially about how the owner’s teenage sons bring their friends (boys and girls) into the locker room and cuss out players, and how the owner himself berates them. The whole thing has echoes of the guy who used to own the NBA LA Clippers. It seems some of these uber-rich dudes act like the team is their personal property… that’s sad but legally true. But, some also act like the players too are their personal property. NOT TRUE! We banned slavery long ago. The players are all human. They’re all hard working professionals. And even the worst NFL player has superhuman in ways most of us can barely dream of. Fans and media rip them all the time… it:s part of the entertainment industry deal for which the players are handsomely compensated. But being treated by owners as nonhuman personal property cannot and should never be part of that.
The NFLPA should get to work to force the NFL to expel Woody Johnson from owning the Jets and send a message to other owners who are behaving similarly. And the NFLPA should get to work on a Players’ Bill of Rights that establishes clear boundaries on how owners (and others associated with them) may or may mot behave viz. players.

Honestly, after yet another atomic bombshell of an article today, it seems even more unlikely that Mike Vrabel would ever want to take this job. I mean, why on Earth would he? At that point, Rex Ryan really would be the only one willing to come here, and if anything, at least he has experience working under Woody, so I’d actually trust him enough to put his foot down and stand up to Woody and the sons if it had to come to that. Just my two cents
Dustin is currently the head adjuster of player ratings for EA’s Madden Franchise.
If hired he will have a direct reporting line to Brick Johnson, Director of Football Operations
Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Super Bowl History) for Thursday, December 19, 2024 (Season 41, Game 74):
I don't think he has any choice but to address the press. Just wonder what he will say?
That is all.
