Does anyone know where I can get some leather footwear similar to UGGs cleaned? I've tried several cleaners around and no one does.
Help. I’ve been to Walmart and Home Depot already to get a pumpkin for some Halloween crafts and there’s none. Does anyone know of a store that still has them?
Update: I stole a pumpkin. I’m horrible. I left $5. I tried target, Walmart, Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Home Depot, lowes, food city, and even that church on Westland that has been full of pumpkins. Idk why I thought places sold pumpkins well into November.
If you still haven't voted and don't like to wait in line, consider a trip to the Eternal Life Harvest Center on MLK. Huge line at Downtown West (probably about an hour), so I made the 15-minute drive down to Eternal Life, and I was in and out in about 5 minutes!
A paper absentee ballot form sent from Knox County has "Write In Column" pre-selected (see here: https://postimg.cc/xJW0nqZ1). When asked about this, Knox County Election Commission responded with "When the ballots are scanned on election day we go through and adjudicate the ballots". Anything to be concerned about?
I've been seeing a lot of the "In the black" car plates in Knoxville and surrounding areas in the past year or so. Did some research and found that it's associated with Hamilton County mayor Weston Wamp and a conservative group - the Millenial Debt Foundation - which advocates for lower taxes, fiscal conservatism, and reducing the national debt (https://intheblack.org/#about-in-black).
I can imagine such initiatives to be attractive to Republicans, at least the mainstream pre-MAGA/non-MAGA folks. Trump's proposed policies are expected to add almost ~2x as much debt than Harris's proposed policies (https://www.crfb.org/papers/fiscal-impact-harris-and-trump-campaign-plans). I wonder if this is a missed opportunity for Harris's campaign that they do not emphasize this point. Given the number of fiscal conservatives across the US (as exemplified by the sheer number of these plates in TN), I think it's a good chance to convince the more moderate Republicans to vote blue.
... or maybe folks are getting those plates just cos they look cool..
Anyone here owns one of these plates, or know someone who owns one? If you/they are Republicans, does the increasing in govt spending (facilitated by the large proposed tax cuts) bother them, and how does it affect who you/they vote for?
I'm looking forward to getting KUB fiber. Just came available in my neighborhood and I signed up the day I got notice.
Been using ATT DSL and it is absolute garbage. Just ran a speed test and it came back 24Mbps.
I pay $112 per month (they bundle it with Cable which I do not use, I only wanted the Internet service but it was cheaper to bundle). I plan to get "The Gig" plan (1,000 Mbps!!) which is all I need.
In this day and age it is rare to find a service that will provide increased speed/quality for 50% of the cost.
My install date can't get here soon enough.
Does anyone have any good recommendations. Thank you!
Hey yall, I am looking for something me and some friends to do for Halloween night (we don’t have kids). Like anywhere showing a Halloween movie, or anything festive really. I know of a couple of bar crawls but hitting the bars isn’t really what we’re looking for.
Suggestions?
Hey y’all. I’m in need of a “new to me car”. Anyone have any recommendations of buy here pay here car dealers in Knoxville? My credit is less than stellar.
I haven’t decided if you’re my hero or insane. Could be both tbh.
Today is the last day of early voting. If you haven’t done so, try to brave the crowds and go vote.
I'm new to Knoxville and looking for upbeat group workouts to try during my free time from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 1 PM. I do yoga occasionally, so I’d love some recommendations that offer a fun and energetic atmosphere. Any suggestions? 36 male
So far in my research I have found:
1: Orange Theory 2: HHB Training 3: Real Hot Yoga 4: Hot Worx
Are there any pumpkins left in town? I've been to Aldi Walmart and the big grocery stores. Anyone know where I can get a pumpkin?

I'm hosting a family friendly Halloween Movie trivia tonight (think Halloweentown, Hotel Transylvania, Addams Family, etc) and Creekside is donating a portion of proceeds to Fun With Friends, Helping Hands, to help out with their Winter Wonderland event for foster children in December.
It starts at 6:30. Costumes are encouraged!

Hello! I'm writing here because I'd really like to get to know more people in the Knoxville filmmaking community. I'm mostly a writer, but I've worked with friends on a few entries for the KHFF Grindhouse Grind-out doing SFX makeup and other behind-the-camera stuff.
Are there any online communities out there? Discord? Facebook? I'd love to network!
