My girlfriend and I have a trip booked for late December to stay in Sevierville. We're excited, but some people around us have concern about the area being accessible/open post-hurricane. I can't find anything about it online, but is there any cause for concern lately for closed roads/bridges or damage to the area? We're driving up from Florida. Thank you!
Visiting soon, i see there’s many options for mountain coasters …which are the best ones?
Hi all! We are having a destination wedding in Pigeon Forge this coming summer and are looking for a large cabin/house to rent for family/friends. Many of the homes I see on air bnb have strict rules where people who are not staying in the home cannot enter it, etc. We are not planning on having a party at the house, but I do want my family to be able to come over and hang by the fire, etc. Are there any local cabin rental companies that are more understanding of our situation? We would be responsible and clean. I would prefer a big house to everyone having their own hotel room. Thanks in advance!
Hi I am wanting to take my almost 3 year old granddaughter up to see the lights one day this weekend and was wondering about the best places to go. I know about the walking trail from the Island, but are there other places to check out? Besides Dollywood. Not going there this time around.
Hello all, the title says it all—what would you recommend for my family (me, spouse, 9yo daughter) to do with a free day in Pigeon Forge? Obviously there is Dollywood, which is great, but I’m thinking not that different from Disneyland (where we’ve been a lot). But if y’all say Dollywood or bust, then I’ll take that into consideration 💸💸💸 We love outdoor things—we’ll be there in early December so I’m not sure if the weather will be inclement. I’d love to hear your opinions. TIA
Probably a weird question but I know a lot of ski resorts will “make” snow for the season. Does Ober mountain do this if there isn’t any snow fall? We’d love to do the winter activities while up there for new years.
Have avoided car shows in the past due to how crowded I’ve heard they are. Is it really too crowded to be enjoyable?
Good morning. We are here visiting from out of state. My grandson asked for moccasins or a Davey Crockett cap. I am looking for something that is not "like a costume". Does anyone have suggestions on places that might carry them in this area? Thank you in advance!
What's the Uber/Lyft situation in Pigeon Forge?
Im going with some family soon and I was planning on getting some pictures from the view. Are you guaranteed to stop at the top no matter what, or do some of the gondolas just keep going?
Requesting recommendation for someone that makes stamped (3d) metal license plates in the area. I know there has to be somebody but Google isn't helping.
I'm wanting to have a multi-color, raised letter/number, metal plate made for long term use on my cars. (Similar in quality and stamping to state issued plates) I have the exact design, already.
Hello, we are planning a reunion for the family and will be in a large cabin in the area. The Cabin has gas grill, but we prefer to use a smoker or large grill. Are there any places that we can do weekend rentals. Preferably that will deliver to the cabin upon our arrival.
Also were can we buy bulk meat and fish for decent price.
Thanks
I'm planning a friends trip to Pigeon Forge in the winter, does anyone know of indoor pickleball courts that I can rent in advance? Thanks!
I’ll be traveling up in March from Houston Texas. Any recommendations on trails that are good to walk with kids and any scenic views that you guys recommend? Can y’all post pictures? Thank you.
Hi locals! I’m headed through the area and will be staying overnight. I want to try your favorite local haunts. Inexpensive, off the beaten path, your go-to lunch spot, the donut place you’re addicted to, and anything else you think I might like. I’ll eat anything, no restrictions!
I’ll be there for: 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, & 2 dinners.
Also, is China Town still great? I’ve been craving their egg rolls!
Hey all! Celebrating my 40th tomorrow with my wife in PF. Was wondering how the fall foliage is right now. Is there anything left or is it past peak? Any suggestions on where to go to see the leaves within 1-2 hours of PF? How’s it looking foliage wise in PF? Any great hike suggestions?
Thanks everyone. I’m sure you’re sick of these questions. I just literally could not find a single update online anywhere since October 10th and I want to end my 30’s with a bright autumn bang
I have a Ford F150 4 x 4 and we're looking for a "off the beaten path" trail that we can drive and just enjoy a comfortable off-road adventure. Nothing that is rock climbing or muddying but more scenic, we've done one of the primitive trails at Cades Cove, we're looking for something that is a little more bumpy but not dangerous. TYIA
I have a friend coming into town who has celiac and I’m looking for places I can take her to eat! I don’t see any posts about this and was wondering if there’s any gluten free friendly spots I could take her ? Thanks in advance!
My wife and I are spending 3 days/2 nights in Pigeon Forge for our 6th wedding anniversary and are needing some itinerary suggestions/recommendations, specifically for the following:
Trinkets - My wife's current hyperfocus is trinkets so need some spots to trinket hunt for her (not like overpriced gift/souvenir shops; i.e. she found a tiny gramophone at a craft store the other day and has been obsessed with it). The more random and plain stupid, the better. 🤣
D&D - I have become a dice goblin and like seeking out neat/interesting sets and towers/trays. So any stores with a decent selection, lemme know.
Food - Finding places to eat is somewhat difficult because not only are we on somewhat of a budget, but I'm very picky and she can only have certain things because of the medicine she's on. She also has sensory issues so loud/chaotic environments are a nono. So any places that are affordable, chill, and have grilled meat/salad options/hamburgers and/or fried chicken strips/sandwiches, drop 'em.
And anything else you think we may enjoy is welcomed! Trying to stick to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and immediate surroundings. Thanks in advance!
My family is renting a cabin over the Christmas holidays and I am looking to see if there are any local restaurants that do take away family meals? Or is there a non-chain restaurant that is special to dine at Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? I imagine most will be closed for the holiday. Thank you.
Is there any place in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area that does horseback riding where you actually have control of the horse?
I’m finding plenty of walking trails where you just follow in a line, but I’m looking for something with a little more control and excitement.
Hi!
I'm coming to Pigeon Forge for a few days next summer from Scotland. We’re coming across on a cruise ship which docks in NYC then flying down (ironically the flights and hotel in PF is half the price of a NY hotel). I know well need to rent a car but the prices from Knoxville airport are crazy and when I look at just hiring from Knoxville the cheaper places are at the other side of the city. Is there anywhere local to rent a car and we can Uber/Lyft down to the area and back? Whats the best option? I get the feeling from Googlemaps that its not really a walkable area. Were staying at a hotel that's right on the Parkway. Also, any hints or tips to do when we're there? Dollywood is all that's on our list so far. Thanks!
Hey y’all. Me and 4 other guys are heading up to pigeon forge/sevierville area in early March for my buddy’s bachelor party. We already have housing secured. Couple questions.
What is there to do for young adults (22–23 year-old guys) around this area? We’re not really into barhopping or strip clubs or anything like that.
Groom says he wants either Italian, Mexican or French food. What are some good recommendations for restaurants of those types in that area that won’t break the bank?
What is the weather like at this time of year?
Thanks very much in advance!
My husband and I are celebrating our 6th anniversary next week and we will be in Pigeon Forge on November 3-5. I’m looking for suggestions on some budget friendly ideas for us to do while we’re there. We’ve been to the smoky mountains several times and I feel like we usually just browse the parkway or go to touristy museums. I was thinking it might be nice to try something different this time. Any romantic suggestions that aren’t too outdoorsy? Restaurants, attractions, hidden gems, etc?
does anyone know if the blue ridge parkway is open since the hurricane
Anyone else remember the Army/National Guard coming out to the 4th of July parks Celebrations and setting up a machine gun for the kids to fire a few burst of blanks from? That was a fun time, they safely set it up on a try pod with the gun face the creek bed and a safe direction and the kids and teens got to line up and fire 3 to 5 burst rounds that were just blanks.
I’m finding some confusing dates when I look this up and am trying to figure it out before I tell my kids 😂 Do the winterfest lights start the 7th but the walking trail doesn’t start until the 9th? Is this correct? TIA!
Hoping for a miracle here, seeking major favor from a fabulous individual.
Hi there!
My husband and I just finished our honeymoon in Tennessee and we had a fantastic time.
Husband forgot to take his coffee moonshine out of his carry on in our mad dash to get out of the cabin.
It is the coffee moonshine from the old forge distillery in the old mill district.
I am asking for someone’s kindness, I would love to see if anyone is willing to purchase the moonshine and ship it to our home. I would pay for the moonshine, shipping, and an extra for your trouble.
I know this is a long shot but he was so disappointed and I would love to surprise him with a replacement.
