Diaper donations

Anyone have a good recommendation for a nonprofit here in town that would accept unused diapers? I hate to just toss the excess cases I have, but my kid outgrew them and sized up.

🚨 MISSING PERSON ALERT 🚨

My sister, Autumn Hackney, has been missing from Dandridge, Tennessee since September 30, 2024. She was last seen in Seymour, Tennessee wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and black shoes.  Autumn is 55 years old, Caucasian, fair skin, has red/auburn hair, is 5’10” and weighs about 200 lbs.  She was driving her white Toyota Forerunner on her way to a doctor’s appointment, however never showed up.

We are extremely worried for her safety as this is out of character for her.

Please, if anyone has seen her or has any information on her whereabouts, contact Sergeant Tiner at the Sevierville Sheriff’s Department à 865-453-4668.

Sharing this post could make a huge difference, so please spread the word and help bring her home.💔🙏

AT&T Service in the area (FirstNet AT&T)

Hello all, and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I was trying to decide on whether to post this in an emergency services sub reddit but thought maybe just a General Sevierville subreddit would do.

Me and my family travel to Sevierville around 10 to 15 times a year for different events, vacations, and holidays. When I travel to the area, I always take my personal and work phone because I usually end up having issues with the work phone. My work phone uses AT&T FirstNet which uses the emergency services priority network. While I’m in the area my calls usually can’t go through, and no data service is available. I end up activating my hotspot on my personal Verizon phone and connecting my AT&T work phone to it so I can receive emails.

I guess my question is, what do people in the area do with issues with AT&T?

My question to AT&T depending on everyone’s response would be, I’m sure it’s not always bogged down, and when there are big events I’m sure the network is congested, but looking at this from an emergency preparedness standpoint, I know AT&T FirstNet is supposed to be the emergency responder priority network to ensure that emergency traffic can make it from Point A to Point B during a mass emergency event, and if the network can’t handle traffic during normal business days, how is it supposed to work during an emergency situation in that area?

I’ve tried using different apps that downgrade your phone set to 4G instead of 5G, because AT&Ts excuse at the Sevierville store was that the place was crowded and everyone was connecting using 5G and it sucked, which wasn’t a real good response. This just seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I'd be interested in hearing from a local emergency responder on how to work with these limitations. I'm sure they all just use Verizon or radio communication, but I wanted to see.

Thanks!
