A gothic tale set during the famine on the west coast of Ireland. A seemingly kind elderly lady has been helping young boys emigrate to America, however, questions begin to arise as to what her true motives are, and what exactly is happening to these boys.

My animated film that took two and a half months to make
Interested in learning a bit more about the role of someone working in the script department of a film studios in Ireland. I’m considering a transfer from the theatre industry into film and feeling like the script department may be natural home for me as I have worked for many years as a writer, director, performer and script reader in theatre. Any insight would be really helpful.
Hello fellow film-makers,
I'm a new member to this reddit page. Thank you for having me.
I'm currently running an interactive film workshop in the Ranelagh area with the purpose of gathering a group of enthusiastic individuals who have an interest in any or all aspects of film-making. Whether you want to try out directing, acting or camerawork we would like to share that creative pursuit with you.
We started workshops last August and have held 4 successful sessions so far. In the workshops, we have experimented with script analysis, storyboarding, character creation, scene shoots and more. If that sounds of interest to you, please check out our meetup page for more information.
*There is an attendance fee of 8 euro to cover rent costs.
Check out Rough and Ready Film Shorts, Dublin https://meetu.ps/c/54hvP/tvWzS/d on Meetup
Hope to see you at a future session.

(MOVIE FOUND) Zombies From Ireland (2013)
So a few years ago I watched a low budget zombie movie set in Ireland it had zombies in a forest a scene with two uncaring guards eating donuts and ignoring calls and the ending scene had zombies crossing a bridge it's not (Dead Meat 2004) but definitely 2000s it had that bit of wit to it
Anyone know ta?
VIVA is a film that has only become more pertinent since it was written.
Set in a near future when ordinary people find themselves having to make extraordinary choices in the face of global climate collapse.
A film about everything. Life, death, family, love, loss, sacrifice, housing, climate, acceptance, denial and offensive card games.
Starring Lalor Roddy, Kate O’Toole, Sara Dylan, Richard Clements and Bosco Hogan.
As part of my job there is the potential to explore video production and editing. This is something I am keen to do but need a short course to develop my very limited skills. Any suggestions for short courses in or around Dublin or the South East?
I made this short film with a group of friends in Galway for the Little Cinema 48-hour challenge. We were given, a prop, a genre, and a line to use and had to make something from it. I'd love to know what people think! If you went to college in Galway I think you'll like it. https://youtu.be/qsEv61wq2V8
Hi all. Woke up with this one stuck in my head and am wondering if ye can help- years and years ago I watched a short film on an Aer Lingus flight and I can't seem to find it anywhere. It was about two brothers, one teenaged and one school age left alone at home all day while their father is gone. They were messing and the younger brother gets himself stuck up a tree with something wrapped around his neck and has to stand on the older boy's shoulders for hours until their father is home so he isn't choked by the rope. I believe it may have been in Irish, though I'm not sure. If any of ye recognise this let me know- I'd love to watch it again. Thanks!
Could be any area of film: directing, writing, editing, cinematography, acting, sound, makeup, etc.
