Why can't I find tickets for a show at Dublin 3Arena?

Greetings Irish music fans. USAian here, coming in for a visit in October.

We often center travel around a show we want to see; in this case there is a show at 3Arena Dublin that my wife has determined we need to see. I am usually pretty good at finding tickets for almost anything, but this one has me stumped. The show is apparently sold out and no additional or official resale tickets have appeared on the Ticketmaster site. More perplexingly, this show isn't even listed on any of the aftermarket ticket sites (e.g. stubhub.ie) even though other Euro/UK dates for the same tour are (with multiple listings) as well as other shows at the same venue.

A go-to play would be to show up at the box office in the days before the show but my understanding is that 3Arena doesn't even have one, with all sales being via Ticketmaster. Travel dates are approaching and my reputation as a ticket wizard is in jeopardy.

Any advice or insights on how things work at this venue? Are there any other reliable/non-scammy aftermarket/resale ticket sources for shows in Ireland?

Who’s everyone listening to these days?

Past or Present. Emerging or Emerged. What Irish acts are you listening to at the moment. For me bit of Bricknasty, lots of Search Results and Omnibus Boners by Martina and the moons have been in my spotify recently played.

As far as established artists go tho Gilla Bands France 98 and Fontaines aren’t in my recents but are always revisited lol.

Anyone a fan of the new Bricknasty?

Didn’t stick with me the first few listens but I’m liking it more the more I listen. Not sure what to think of the AI video tho :/

I'm looking for Irish indie rock bands, active or from the past, doesn't matter as long as it's good

I tried looking up some indie rock bands from the country after moving here, but didn't find many that I liked, but before going through random lists on wikipedia and past blogposts, I wanted to hear some suggestions or insights about the Irish scene from other people, as I didn't really meet any local indie rock fans IRL and I'm gonna probably leave the country around next year, so I thought I'd give the Irish side of reddit a go

I really like 80's jangle rock, like Into Paradise and also early U2. Only found Fontaines D.C. from present time that I really like. I'd like to hear more upbeat jangly-pop bands, if there are any. But more bands like Fontaines D.C. can come too, I'd really appreciate any info!!!

Anyone have information on Dara (2000's) Eye of the Clock and subsequent albums?

Hi there-

When I was 11 I saw Dara at Milwaukee Irish Fest and it absolutely rocked my world. I bought the album "Eye of the Clock" and it was the soundtrack to my adolescence. I've tried to purchase mp3s of the album but cannot find it digitally without buying an itunes subscription (curses to apple!) I have a few questions that I'm hoping you can help me answer:

  1. Did anything become of Dara? After googling a bit it sounds like they peaked in 2000 and then lost popularity- can anyone confirm (and why they became less popular?)
  2. Can anyone confirm that they had a second album called "dog eared memories?" I listened to it and it has a very different sound compared to the first album. Reviews I read called it "stripped down," does this mean that they didn't have the 10 piece band for this one?

Sorry I have so many questions- I found the album the other day and it brought up memories and so many questions. I appreciate any help or information you have (and if you have any recommendations, feel free to send them my way!)
