As the title says, I'm looking to add more writers to my website. Preference is Canadian based with a strong interest in Canadian cinema. I get access to just about every Canadian film festival applied to and slowly am getting access to more and more screeners from publicists and studios. From time to time I also get emails about physical releases and e-books too.

I’m trying to remember the name of a Canadian comedy film from about 10 or 15 years ago. It was about 2 friends( my believe they were a comedy team in real life) who had a very stressful day and were able to wish the world away. They lived in a void, got stressed out, and tried to wish each other away. Does anyone remember the name of this movie?

Hello everyone,I'm searching for a film I watched in high school between 2002 and 2006. I saw it in Michigan and believe it could be a Canadian or Michigan-based indie film.

Plot: The film revolves around three men who go camping in a log cabin in the wilderness. At night, a strange green glow—presumably signaling the presence of aliens, who never actually appear—starts shining through the windows and around the door. The men become scared and notice that one of their friends, who is asleep, has a grumbling stomach. They begin chanting and work his legs like he's riding a bicycle in an attempt to make him fart. The green light intensifies, and the tension escalates until the man finally farts. The fart is so powerful it seems generated by an off-screen leaf blower, complete with shirt-flapping effects!

Details: The men had thick Canadian or possibly Yooper accents (from Michigan's Upper Peninsula).They wore red checkered pattern caps with ear protectors.There was a lake in the film, but no fishing scenes.The film was in color.

Aftermath: The men, exhausted from their efforts, pass out. Upon waking up, the man with the stomach issue has no memory of the events. When told about the mysterious green light (presumed to be aliens) and the fart, he doesn't believe them and thinks they're nuts.

I watched this film in PE in my sophomore year? If any of this rings a bell, I'd greatly appreciate your help in identifying this film! It's been bugging me for about 20 years

There's been no noise about this. I suspect because the employees were quite careful about talking openly before they voted. Heads of the company have been scrambling to deal with this and navigate trying to discourage further unionizing in other branches, of course without breaking the law.

The vote was an overwhelming YES

I felt a bit encouraged to post it because I'm in the industry myself and I also believe that more workers out there in all sectors should fight for their rights. There's currently the SAG-AFTRA/WGA strikes, the recent BC port workers strike, and some Metro grocery stores in Toronto are currently under strike.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. I don't know what their timeline is but I know there's been no contract negotiations yet as it's still quite early.

I hope it galvanizes others out there to push. The process definitely freaked out company heads, which signals to me that they know the ball is in the employee court.

It's a really under-rated Erotic Thriller starring Richard Beymer from Twin Peaks: in fact, it feels like the Twin Peaks extended universe with its sleazy vibe.
