I'm trying to set up a digital key but it prompt me to use Samsung wallet, which I don't use. Do i really need a third party wallet app rather than just using the nyhundai app?
I have a 2010 Elantra Blue with about 210k miles on it. Hearing a grinding/rattle sound that I think is coming from my water pump. I am thinking the bearing is worn out. Any things to know or tips when replacing the water pump? Is it as simple as removing the timing belt, bolts and swapping it out? Any "gotcha's" to watch out for? I have tried to find some videos but not finding anything with the same engine config that I can find.
I just picked up a Kona and I can't get the vents in the back seat to blow air like they should. I can feel about as much pressure as a piece of paper laying on my palm, barely present. Obviously I've moved the vent sliders into the open and closed positions to test both positions.
Anybody else experience that?
I am in Australia and have a 2013 Santa Fe Highlander.
Last week the local dealership told me that they can no longer update the maps on the SatNav as Hyundai will not give them the code to do so. Are they telling the truth?
If so it means that Hyundai have built in obsolescence for their vehicles and that they should be scrapped after ten years. At best it means a new after-market head unit and the OEM one becomes yet another lump of e-waste. Surely Hyundai would not be so environmentally reckless?
Does anyone know what the stop-sign symbol means? I did a test drive on a 2024 Sonata SEL with convenience package and got side tracked with something else, so I completely forgot to ask the sales-person about it. I’ve googled and haven’t been able to find a clear answer.
Brought home the Exter today. Went for the knight edition with all black interiors.
Hi! Last week, with the cold, my tire pressures dropped so I took it in to get fixed and also had my oil changed. It was running by smoothly until today when I picked a friend up at the airport.
The red oil pressure light flickered before turning on, and then it started to make a rattling sound (my friend apparently didn’t hear it, but I could so not sure if I’m just more in tune with the car/it just wasn’t that loud). I feel like I could smell oil too but I’m not sure if that was my brain tricking me by hyper fixating on the problem since my friend also didn’t seem to smell anything off. I did go over a road that was more bumpy so I’m not sure if that knocked something out of place, but I wanted to get opinions on what is wrong with it.
Would it be ok to drive it a short distance (15 minutes) to a Jiffy Lube/is there anything I can tell specifically guide them towards based on this?
Still getting used to having a backup camera and apple car play. I’ve finally caught up to the modern world.
How good are the shiftronic transmissions in the Hyundai sonatas, I have a 2017 and I’m just curious cause I’m already dealing with engine issues don’t want to take it out of the shop if it’s just gonna shit itself so I’m tryna get everything looked at.
Looking at the SEL convenience or Blue trims of the ‘25 Tucson Hybrids and going through Costco. Location is SoCal area. Whats a good OTD price I should aim for along with the 48 months 0% APR deal? I’ll also be trading a 2018 car in possibly. Looking for any advice
My credit is 800+
Hey do I live in North Dakota and I drive a 2023 Kona sel. Today my husband I drove for 5 hours or so total and I am noticing while driving the thermostat stays around C and the temp coming out of the vents isn’t super warm.
At idle when we were at a gas station it was sitting on the gauge where it should be and the car was super warm.
I was wondering if it was for the hole in my cowl but we covered it with duck tape and started driving and it went back down to C.
It’s not freezing inside the car while driving but it is definitely not the right temp.
What could be causing this?
I have a 2016 Hyundai Accent closing in on 95,000 miles. I’ve kept up with all my maintenance
Recently, I was getting awful mileage, and got a code P0191. I took it to the dealer service center, they replaced the fuel rail pressure sensor and the high pressure fuel pump. Cool. Ok.
Still having some mpg issues but no code, I come back, they clear the onboard computer and update and tell me to come back in 1000 miles.
I make it 600 and then I get code P2191. I take it in, they replace the low pressure fuel pump and send me on my way, cool. A little annoyed now, but cool.
I make it less than a week and 150 miles and the P2191 is back. I don’t know what else needs replacing here, has anyone experienced something like this?
I have a 2016 Hyundai Accent. It just does work commute driving and has been kept up with its maintenance.
So, around 4 months ago, I was having awful mileage and throwing P0191. So I took it to my Hyundai Service Center at the dealer.
I had the fuel rail pressure sensor and high pressure fuel pump replaced. All good, right?
Well, mileage didn’t really improve. I took it back they said they reset the on board computer and said come back
Then, my car threw P2191, and I brought it back in last week. They replaced the low pressure fuel pump, and sent me on my way.
Not even a week, and it’s still throwing P2191.
I’m seriously ticked off, I’m out like 4-5k in repairs and they cannot seem to resolve this issue. Has anyone else seen this?
Hey folks! I own a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It's at 220k miles. Bought it about two years ago and it lived through two very mild winters (and I maintain the shit outta this thing). I noticed the car feel sluggish on the coldest days (0-10 degrees f) but nothing raised suspicion.
This week has been the coldest yet for my car. This morning it was 4 degrees farenheit, and my car started as expected. Normally, it will run in EV mode at first. Which it tried to do, but it couldn't accelerate until it turned on the gas engine. When getting on the freeway, it flashed the hybrid system warning when accelerating, but only for a split second and only when accelerating. I have never had this issue before. Drove home from work (20 degrees f) and let it warm up beforehand. No problems.
I did a quick Google search and couldn't find any definitive answers. Some suggested that warming up the car is good for the hybrid battery. I'm not sure of the science behind it but have any of you experienced this? I am handy with cars but this is my first hybrid. If this is the start of the car's death, it would be nice to know lol
I do love the lighting signature of the 2020s
My wife has a 23 Elantra se and she wants her brake lights to go across the trunk like higher trim levels. Can this be done? I want to do it for her birthday in February and I’ve got professional experience with dc electric so if I’ve gotta wire it that’s fine. Anyone got a link to a part I should buy? Thanks so much!
I am debating getting a Sonata hybrid and the dealership has a 2.0L engine for sale within my price range. My dad heard they have had some issues with that engine, he has a 2.4L and would recommend that. I couldn't find anything online saying anything about these issues. Does anyone here know what he may be talking about?
I just bought my Ionic PHEV and am surprised that the insurance is much higher than my old Land Rover. For context, I'm in the SF Bayarea in my mid 30s and have a clean driving record, but Mercury quoted me at nearly $200 per month for full coverage $15k/$30k lmao. I'm still shopping around but so far that's the best quote I got.
Anyone paying more or less for their Ioniq PhEV?
My 2017 ioniq is at 98k and was reading that I might have a lifetime warranty on the hybrid battery. Is that true?
Found this ferrous chunk on the top of my oil drain bucket (tested with a magnet here, hoping it was plastic or a rock). More shards might have gone into the oil bucket itself. Just 22k miles on the odometer too 😐
I was looking into getting a new car I currently have a 2012 Prius, what do you guys think of a 2024 Elantra I would use the car a lot throughout the day because my current job requires it. Yall think Hyundai is reliable enough? I’ve been hesitant because I could save more and try to get a Toyota but Hyundais price is too amazing to not consider
Is there any way to disable the 10 minute auto shut-off when using remote start? I have a 2022 Tucson and 10 minutes isn’t always long enough to really warm up my car in these cold northern Michigan winter mornings.
Not sure why but since I’ve had the car it has only connected to my phone through wireless CarPlay. Whenever I plug my phone in through USB (I use an apple branded USB to lightning cable) and have bluetooth off the car cant connect to my phone, even though it still charges it. Its not a big issue at all but I’ve noticed that using wireless CarPlay instead of wired CarPlay results in everything being a little slower. I just want my car to use CarPlay through a wired connection rather than the new wireless CarPlay feature. Anyone have any suggestions or answers?
Is there a recall on 2022 Santa Fe backup cameras?
