I have a Elantra 2020. My girlfriend has the iPhone 15 pro and her phone connects to Apple CarPlay no issue. Mine is the iPhone 15 and it doesn’t.
(I don’t use a original cable)
Hey y’all. Just got myself a 2024 SEL and wanted to see if y’all have and good recommendations for cleaning products for the interior. Trying to keep this baby looking nice for as long as possible!
I have an 2024 Elantra Hybrid Blue. When I put things in the front console tray (the one right under the USB & power port), they slide around and rattle. I'm looking for something like a thick rubber mat to use as a liner. Would be great if there was a product designed for just this, but I can use anything. Has anyone found something like this?
Ichave the 2018 elantra sport model currently on 18 inch. I was wondering if anyone knows of 16 or 17 inches fit? Its for winter, potholes are hidden in the snow and the few extra inch would help not get a flat this winter
Has anyone installed an amp without tying into the head unit? Trying to figure out what to do instead of taking the whole dash apart
I’ve been thinking about wrapping my roof gloss black to match the trim, and doing the same with the grey parts in the front and back bumper, should I do it? Or leave it how it is?
I have a 2024 Elantra, i'm from Europe, and this Saturday we had the daylight saving hour change but the car clock hasn't updated to the correct hour although in the setings i have checked the option for automated hour and daylight changes, does anyone has any ideea on how to fix this?
This morning I was on the highway, there was a construction truck in front of me but there weren’t any flashing lights and they were not breaking. My car suddenly started beeping and said “EMERGENCY BREAK WARNING” and depicted a photo of needing to swerve to avoid a crash. I was so nervous my car was going to suddenly break, but it didn’t. I don’t know what happened. I can’t find anything online since Google thinks I’m talking about a break light indicator- this is apart of the driving assistance.
Anyone else experience this before? I have an oil change with my dealership at the end of November, but I drive far on the highway every day so this makes me pretty nervous.
I got my 2023 Elantra Blue last year, and I have very few complaints thus far.
However - my fiance has a Ford Escape Titanium with a front sensor that I'm completely jealous of.
Anyone have any recommendations to make it possible to install at the very least a sound sensor, but prefer a video/sound combo if at all possible?
Asked my dealership and they didn't have any advice for me.
Had my 2024 SEL for 2 months and this has never happened before. It’s very hot in California and the screen got hot. It was showing the menu okay but CarPlay app was not opening at all, like you click on it and nothing happens. I turned off and turned on the car again but it didn’t help, it got a black screen for a sec and then again the menu. 15 mins after and after the screen got cooled a little bit it opened the Apple CarPlay but I am still confused. Also, yesterday the rear camera was not showing up as well, when switching to Rear and clicking on the button, had to restart the car to park. Is it connected? Should I take it to the service? Thanks!
I was told when I bought it that on the 2024 Elantras, Bluelink was free for life, now I;m getting emails that it will only be free for 3 years, anyone know anything about this? TIA
more info, found this on the Edmunds site, says for all 2024 cars it's free for the life of ownership: Bluelink+ is exactly what it sounds like. It's an evolution of that same tech but it's now split into two tiers. The first is the Basic tier, and it comes with several features including automatic collision notification, maintenance alerts and remote diagnostics. The big news is that it's free no matter what. If you buy a 2024 (or newer) Hyundai new, used or CPO, this set of features will be offered at no cost for the life of your ownership.
The second tier of Bluelink+ is the Advanced. It adds on enhanced roadside assistance, remote door lock/unlock, stolen vehicle tracking, speed camera information, remote start with climate controls (down to the heated seats), Hyundai's digital key (which allows you to use your phone as the car's key), and a number of other useful features. The cost? Nothing — if you're a new Hyundai buyer, that is. New-car owners will also get the Advanced tier for free for the term of their ownership. CPO buyers have the Advanced set of features complimentary for a year, and used owners get a three-month trial period. After that it's $12.99 a month.
Hey all,
I have a 2021 Elantra SEL. It does not have a tow hook mount (confirmed by manual + dealership).
Does anyone have any recommendations/ideas for ways I might be able to mount my front plate in that style?
Thanks!
I get this warning everytime my Elantra 2022 hybrid has been on for too long. I speculated that it was because I would turn on the AC before getting in but it has happened even when I don’t do that. It’s very unsafe, when it happens on the highway it stops me from being able to step on the gas to get to an area where an available shoulder is. I always turn on my hazards and pull onto the side of a highway, and turn off my car. When the car shuts off it has no power, the hazards turn off too. Then I have to click the reset battery button and then I can turn the car back on.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi,
Today i’ve noticed some strange behaviour of my CN7 while on adaptive cruise control (ACC)
2024 Cn 7, 1.6 MPI, CVT/IVT, 5k km on it.
While cruising using ACC for about 20mins with no manual intervention, i needed more power for an overtake. I pressed the gas pedal half way, nothing happened, to the floor, nothing happened for seconds.
At the same time the ACC set speed did not blink in the dash.
Usually when i press (overwrite) the ACC with the accelerator pedal (not break) it takes the input, when pedal is released it goes back to it’s set speed (or lower if vehicle is detected ahead).
After about 30 other minutes, same thing but i did not wait seconds, when i’ve noticed that it did not react, i’ve paused the ACC using the steering the button from the steering wheel - got instant acceleration.
Same thing happened after restarting the engine. So it is randomly not responding. No errors or warnings in the dash.
Anyone else encountered this behaviour? What did you do, what’s your opinion?
Thanks!
Trying to update my navigation.
I signed in the updater and got my vehicle files and tried installing twice but was giving a "no files supported" prompt.
So now for the 3rd time I tried manually typing in both model number and software number and was given nothing matches.
I'm lost.
Roommate has a 2016 Elantra that pulls hard to the right, no noticeable wheel bearing or clunking noises while driving. She says this started after she hit a chunk of semi tire a few months ago, her brand new front tires are already down to the cords on the inside
Alignment shop quoted new struts and outer tie rods.
We are planning on doing those ourselves, in addition to lower control arms and sway bar links. No tie rod play when I jack up the car, maybe some lower ball joint play?
Is this a tough job, and any ideas on what might be throwing off the front toe so much following that impact?
I have a 2024 Elantra Limited. Everything I have read says that this model has an Eco mode, but I can't find it. Attached are pictures showing that I have only three modes: normal, sports and smart. Those three modes show up on the dash.. Google says that the Eco switch is on the front console buttons by the left knee. Attached is a picture showing there is not a button there for Eco. Is it just not available on the 2024 Limited?
Can someone guide me how to disconnect 12V battery in my 2023 Elantra Hybrid (Limited Trim)? I am looking to install a dash cam and will need to route the wire through the A pillar, behind the curtain airbags. So, want to disconnect the 12V battery before remove the A pillar cover. Don't want the airbag going off by mistake.
I looked at the manual and it show where the connector is but I see two connectors there and is bit hard to reach. I don't want to pull a wrong connector
Also, after completing the work and reattaching the 12V battery connector, what other precautions should I take? Does this reset all my preferences etc.
I searched for a video explanation for this as well but didn't get a proper hit. Any guidance will be much appreciated.
Hi wonderful car experts out there in the ether,
Ive got a free service appointment with the dealership where I recently got my second hand car tomorrow. They will check and fix everything for free because I bought it CPO (certified pre owned).
What should I get them to check to get the most out of my free visit?
The car I bought from them two months ago is a Hyundai Elantra 2022 SE (1 owner, 18k miles).
Any help would be much appreciated!
Greetings all!!!
I've been rummaging around the internet as well as sent some headlight sellers on eBay a message in an attempt to find this answer. A lot of what I find doesn't have the year identified or they are folks swapping kinds of headlights (upgrades from halogen to LED, etc).
I'm trying to find if a Korean built 2023 Elantra can have US headlights put in it as a swap for a damaged part. I'm thinking they can because, regardless of country of build, the car still needs built to US specs.
Since the Korean parts are hella expensive, am I able to swap out a Halogen headlight assembly (cracked cover) with a US part and have the mounting points line up as well as the bulb housings fit?
It would be halogen to halogen. Not looking to do any upgrades at this time.
Thanks all so much!!!!!
Took about 6 hrs but we made it lol
I have an Elantra 2023 Preferred. Something is really bugging me, the speedometer background light does not always turn on or sometimes it will turn off when I need it. I should mention that it happens when I have my lights on (I don't use Auto mode). It works great when it is pitch black but I need it to turn on way before that as I don't clearly see my speed with the dark red arrow on the black background. Especially since the lights of the upcoming vehicles tend to blind me. Is there a way to turn it on myself whenever I need it ? I looked it up on the manual but did not find anything. Anyone familiar with this issue ? In the pic, my phone corrected the luminosity so it appears way more clearly than it was. I will bring it to Hyundai if needed. Thanks !
Hey everyone, I have 2013 Elantra and sometimes it just randomly turns off when I stop at the red light, once even turned off while coasting downhill at low rpm. Also, sometimes it struggles to start at first.
Anyone had this happen before?
