I got gta a few years ago for free. I was wondering can gta v be a decent flight sim?
No matter what I do, since the last update (or 2) the 737 tablet is not working. Completely black and not responsive.
Google says I'm not the only one with this, but I can't find any solution to get it running.
I know everyone is flying the Triple instead, but it's kind of unbeliavble that this plane is unflyable for weeks now... And wasn't it supposed to be out of "Early access" just before the 77W came out? This is the result??

Hey all, what are your solutions, with minimal carpentry skills/equipment - to brace rudder pedals so they don't move around so much?
I was picturing some sort of adjustable rod with rubber tips to brace against forward/back and some side to side motion. I figure something has to be out there for this.
I have the Thrustmaster T16000.M pack - not great pedals, but they work. I have the Honeycomb Charlie pedals, they work great, heavy, good feel - just not sure that $300 is a priority right now.
My son joined Air Cadets this year and has just had a day at the aviation museum where they have flight simulator 2024, and now he wants this for Christmas. I've looked into it the game and it's within our budget so I'm happy to buy it for him. Where I need a lot of help, and what I'm afraid will break the budget, is what kind of controller do I get him. In my very quick and dirty research I think I've gleaned that a stick is better than a yoke for beginners, but I'm not sure if I need anything else. I have no idea about this game, how complex it is, I'm not a gamer, if anyone could give me some great cost efficient suggestions that I can run out to Best Buy (or other game store) and grab today or tomorrow I would be so grateful 🙏 In Montreal btw
Edit, he built his gaming computer and it can handle it
Last edit, I promise.... We have a VR headset, if anyone has tried that is it better on that or PC (bugs, lag etc...)
I can spend about 1500 bucks, I haven't played since FSX so Im a bit behind, If anyone the best balance in that range give or take please let me know.
Thanks in advance
I didn’t get the supporters’ pack. But still got traffic too! I am not using premium voices because it runs out when I use, but still so much better than default ATC.
I finally get to enjoy IFR properly. I don’t use Vatsim because
Pros
2 Shows what to readback. you don’t have to write down. 3. you can see what you said. 4. voice recognition is very good. 5. Lots of voices and accents
Cons
Honestly most of errors are msfs bugs, reading ANA Air Bosna, AI Taxing weird. So I can say BeyondATC is amazing.

Hey everyone.
Lately I really want to give another try to flightsim, especially now that my cpu has been upgraded.
But just like racingsim, I expect each sim to have it's own strengths and weaknesses so if you could suggest me a title.
What I'm interested in: Simple yet comprehensive tutorial. I tried MSFS2020 at launch, and it felt excessively slow and not so clear. Might have just be me at the time. Aerowings on Dreamcast is obviously less a sim, but the tutorial mission felt clearer.
Flying old planes, just like for racing, I enjoy driving old and archaic car and have just as much interest for old plane.
Maybe something somewhat close to time trial/air racing?
If it works on Linux it's a big plus. VR and triple screen support is a must.
My main pc: Ryzen 9600x, 32go of ram, Rx6600xt
Racing Sim pc: Xeon 2697v3, 32go of ram, Rx7900xtx
Edit1: old can go as far back as WWI.
This is taken in Yosemite Right next to El Capitan. This is supposed to be a flagship location pushed heavily in the marketing.
Grinding away with career mode, but a few more issues coming up for me:
Some Viggen content
Hi, I've been meaning to try Xplane 12. It's on sale again for 55 eur on Steam.
Not really looking to invest in payware given my main sim is MSFS2020. Is there enough stock offering or top level freeware available to make Xplane 12 worth a try?
I fly the Fenix, Black Square, Just Flight, PMDG in MSFS2020.
The new airport and extension of the runway in Nuuk - BGGH went live a few weeks ago. I was hoping I could "fly home for Christmas", but I see that it still is not updated in FS2024. planner.flightsimulator already have the new runway and charts though.
When could we expect an update on a minor airport like this? I'm on Xbox and I don't know whether custom airports are a thing on it.
I am installing this 40th Anniversary version but still need to get the 150 GB plus update, but it is a huge amount and I cannot leave this downloading for days tying up all my bandwidth, so I have to exit sometimes.
But when I restart it begins the download at zero again.
My screen says:
Installation 1/5
I am not sure how to get around this, but hoping it at least will save its download in cache at some point, and not start over.
What is the solution to this?
Hi,
I am planning for a long time now, for buying a Seat with an extra third Monitor. I know that there ist Next Level Racing with their flight Seat. Are there also other Company which is maybe better than Next Lvl where i also can upgrade more in coming future. What i would for sure invest in is a Motion Addon. For the seat.
So is there someone who has an full finished Equipment with a seat?
Planning to get some version of MSFS for my kid for Christmas (on a PC with close to ideal specs) and was holding out hope that 2024 would be in better shape by now, but I’m still seeing all kinds of issues. It’ll be his first flight sim game and I really don’t want it to suck. Should I just get 2020 and wait to upgrade when 2024 is really ready?
I’m having a terrible experience less than three months in with winwing Ursa Minor airline stick for airbus is constantly drifting and losing calibration mid flight on one axis. I contacted customer service about this when I first experienced the problem last month they gave me a troubleshooting document and it worked for a couple weeks but the last week or so has been absolutely horrendous every night. It’s losing calibration most nights in the middle of flight. I even sent them a 7 minute video of the problem. They told me to check the motherboard in the stick for loose connections and report back.
I did that but yet They still won’t admit there is a problem or offer me a replacement . Every time I turn around their response is send another video… I’m beyond frustrated with this and ready to move on from winwing when it comes to an airbus sidestick… I’m not going to do long flights only for it lose calibration mid flight and lose 2, 3, or even longer hours of flying.
I would pick up the thrust master Boeing yoke(yes I know that takes away from the realism flying it with an Airbus) but im already signed up for the virpil yoke kickstarter that comes out sometime in spring next year.
So don’t want to be sitting on 2 yokes What other options are out there as far as an airbus replica sidestick for MSFS that are not winwing or thrust master?
