So, just had my tablet a couple days now and very impressed.
Things seem to be working ok but in my oversight didn't realise that it'd be a hacked ROM. Part of the reason for upgrading was updated android and security updates over my ageing Mediapad m5 perpetually stuck on android 9.
I don't mind putting in a bit of effort but I've not used ADB in years and never messed with a hex editor. Am I missing much? Is it worth flashing another official ROM? Are there any security concerns if running a hacked ROM like this?
Is it possible to use the Lenovo RSA on this device?
Build date is September 24 and currently running 15.0.549. Being used in Europe if it makes any difference.
TIA
Hello, I received this device as a gift (so I feel bad complaining), but the battery percentage does not show. When I go to 'battery' located in settings, the only option there is battery saver. If I search settings the only other thing I find is adaptive battery.
This is very troubling to me as I am accustomed to having a way to see my battery level, but I can't find it at all unless I use an app downloaded from the playstore. I don't know if it is defective or if I am overlooking something (I really hope not the former)
The battery symbol is also different to other videos I watched.
It is Doogee model: U10 Android 13
Hi,
I was thinking of getting a lenovo legion go as it seems the perfect size for travel. I am currently using Ipad Mini. I already have a nice gaming setup at home so I will use it mostly for holidays.
I want to watch movies on it and play games (most of the times connected to a TV) and will hardly use it as a portable gaming device. My main requirements are watching movies/listening to songs on flights (plex, netflix, spotify) and hooking it up to a TV to play games like AC origins etc.
My father recently passed, and when we were cleaning out his appt. one of his health monitors is uses a s2. When I go into recovery, choose factory reset, it just reboots.
I am looking for a relatively cheap keyboard case for my Galaxy S9 FE, and I am coming across a lot of bluetooth keyboards that actually need to be charged to be used. I know there are some keyboards that do not need to be charged. How do I find a keyboard that connects automatically? What sets these two apart?
What is the best value for money?
I could probably Google this, but I'm looking for real user experiences.
My wife has a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4" (2020) and I'm interested to know how it compares to some of the more current (albeit few) 8" Android tablets. She's relatively happy with it, but it is getting noticably slower. She mostly does email, web browsing, and some low to mid impact games.
Of live to hear your thoughts and recommendations
hi need some advice what kind of tablet should i get for study purposes, nalilito kasi ako hehe thank youuu.
or should i get laptop instead? pero gusto ko kasi handy eh
The tablet (XPP) is great but my primary use , 95% of the time is viewing 2 maps of the East Coast of Florida in split screen and having it on at all times. Horizontal is a deal breaker. I need vertical.
I'll let you guys know how the return process with Goldmai goes unless the Redmi Pad Pro is a POS but I loved her regular Redmi Pad.
I'm thinking about getting TCL Nxtpaper 11 primarily for PDF and note taking. Stylus would be extremely handy but is there any reason that using stylus on matte finished screen would simply damage the finish after some time?
Im trying to get the best value possible for myself so I dont have to worry about buying a new one for a few years. Thanks for the help.
Edit: Im not overly tech savvy anymore either. Is changing it from Chinese to English and getting google play store difficult?
Hello, I travel a lot and run everything on my gaming laptop out of a travel backpack. I have looked at ways to use a tablet as a second monitor. But I need a tablet to do that.
What would be the specs/ price range of a pretty barebones tablet i would primarily be using for this purpose? Make/ model suggestions welcome as well.
Hi!
I started med school this year and I do not feel like my laptop is helping with note-taking and learning anatomy (plus it is pretty old, so it has become quite slow), so I decided to look into buying a tablet, but I've never had one before, so Idk how to look for the best one within my budget.
It will mainly be used for note-taking (preferably using a stylus) and I need to use the complete anatomy app too (I prefer a bigger screen also)
The ones I have seen so far are : Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro 6, HONOR Pad X8a, Lenovo Tab P11, Lenovo Tab M11, Samsung Galaxy tab A9
These tablets are within the price range that I can afford, but I am not sure which would be better at performing tasks + has a longer battery life
I would really appreciate any info regarding the topic!
New to Reddit so apologies if I'm doing something wrong or am asking the wrong community lol.
But does anyone know if the Lenovo Tab M11 4/128 11", and Lenovo Tab P11 (2nd gen) 2 11.5" are good for Procreate? Both have 128 GB of storage capacity but from what I've seen many seem to recommend at least 256 GB or an iPad Pro, which I don't have the money for. Scared to spend lots of money on something that won't function properly or so lol
Hello everyone !
I have just received my 2023 Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro. So far it is really very pretty, however I have the global ROM that was installed on it. What would you recommend to start from scratch on it to install a cleaner ROM or maybe change the Launcher.
Thank you so much !
Hi! Can you recommend me tablets that are good for note taking and multitasking? Is it still worth it go buy xiaomi pad 6 at this time? Would that last me for atleast 3 years?? I'm also eyeing for Huawei matepad 11.5.
I have a limited budget: php 15000 if just the tab unit and can be maxed up to Php 20000. I think this would roughly be 255usd - 340 usd when converted
I need a tablet around $150 USD or less.
I will be using it to: doodle, draw, use Canva, and take handwritten notes. I want to reduce my paper waste and keep documents more private in my Google drive, as my job gives me sensitive info I can't lose.
This tablet must: be in price range, allow an active stylus (I want precision and those squishy tipped ones aren't doing it for me), and process fast enough to keep up with my writing at minimum (quick notes in meetings). I'd also love if it's a newer model so it can live a few years before upgrading!
Not worried about: camera, internal space (Google Drive will house almost everything), refurbished or not (but give me reliable refurb websites if you have any), thickness, or "cheap looking" materials.
My profession doesn't give me a lot of income, but this is something I really want! I've been looking for years and saved up a bit to consider it. Thank you all so much!!
Hi there, I'm considering an Alldocube iPlay50 Mini or iPlay60 Mini, but I'm accustomed to using my tablet with a magnetic case that makes the tablet suspend and wake automatically. Are there any magnetic cases for the smaller sized Alldocube tablets, and does the tablet hardware and software support automatic suspend/wake?
Ive looked into a lot of tablets in that category didn’t find something that suits me
Tab A9
Redmi pad se
Aren’t worth it with those resolutions
And i looked into the y700 they have better screens but i dont play on it much and dont need the best performance so i was wondering if there’s something in the middle that is affordable and dosent s*ck
Thoughts on Redmi Pad Se? Durability... Efficiency... Ecc, Is it worth the price?
I'm getting my first tablet within the next few weeks. It's primary function is going to be photo editing on the go, specifically editing together the panels and pages for my graphic novel. The other night, we were running errands in Walmart and stopped to browse TV's to start figuring out what we want because it appears that our den/home office TV decided to off itself. We passed by the tablets and my fiance decided to stop and browse because even though we kind of know what I should get, it's a high end one that would take us months to save up for and quite frankly, I still don't think I need something that high end this soon in my career, it can probably wait a few years ya'know?
Well, we saw the Onn 12.1" laptop and were fucking around with it the best we could, it didn't have any demo photos and it wasn't connected to the internet and neither one of us were willing to put our email into a random Walmart tablet just to use the wifi so we can find a graphics test video. But I made note of it because we've used some of Onn's tech before and honestly, they have been better than expected.
I found a review video last night and we watched it and it seems to fit my graphics needs perfectly, they guy was running Genshin and it looked pretty great. Plus it's in the original price range I was hoping to spend.
But I use Gimp and from what I understand, Gimp isn't exactly available on Android tablets. I am autistic and not very tech savvy, so I have a hard time adapting to change, especially new programs.
What are some easy to use and understand mobile photo editors you guys can recommend? I want to have an idea of where to start before I get it so that I can download and test them right away and I have a four day trip to Lombard at the end of January, so I'd like to have it figured out by then so that I can still get some work done instead of it being another standstill.
Recently got a Lenovo - Tab Plus - 11.5" and looking for a great kb/case solution. This tablet is SWEET!!! Love the audio and the screen is really nice! Hoping to find a really good KB and case for it.. Anyone else have someting/anything to recommend?
I just got a Y700 last night and I have a small issue I can't figure out. I can't get rid of the clicking sound while using the on-screen keyboard.
It's the Chinese Rom. The seller switched it to English, loaded the playstore, and removed the Chinese apps but it's stock other than that. Any help would be appreciated.
I am looking for a cheap android tablet to watch YouTube videos at the gym. That is literally all it will do. Will a 4gb Lenovo M11 or Samsung A9+ suffice? Trying to spend as little as possible since it is only for use at the gym but don't want something that will frustrate me just trying to download a video and play it back.
Heya
Looking for recommendations for a cheap tablet for Internet browsing (at home on wifi), travelling for watching films and to use the Mario Lego app (for my son!).
Top criteria - around £100 (up to £130ish), lightweight, good battery and not too slow! Oh and probably medium screen size (9-11). Also UK based if that makes a difference..!
Thanks all!
I'm trying to buy the pad 6 from xiaomi, but there are 2 models with different codes and I don't know which one to buy.
