I'm a professional photographer and I've seen people mention they've used Samsung tablets as secondary screens to use as drawing tablets.
I'm curious what people's experiences are with that and Lightroom/Photoshop. Does it truly replace them? I'd imagine the lack of the shortcut buttons might be a shame, but if the whole UI is on the screen that doesn't seem like a big deal. I'm not sure what all the S pen can do either. I have a high end custom built PC running windows if that matters.
I've ordered one because it was on a good sale and I wanted one any way. Just curious how people like it!
(I'm not sure if the flair should be Samsung Dex or not)
As I was sad yesterday i impulse purchased a 1tb S10 5G Ultra and it arrived today.
Oh my goodness, it's like a huge phone, I feel like Dom Joly.
The one thing useful I can say is that despite Vodafone UK saying that the only tablets with esim are iPad this does have an esim (if it's the 5G model) and vodafone one number works fine so i have it on the same plan as my phone and watch.
Why you ask! Because it's a HUGE phone and needs it's own connection to be truly phone like.
Hello! I'm just looking to get a case for my S9 FE. I am curious what cases you all ended up getting. I need something that will be compatible with the S Pen and won't cause interference with the positioning and whatnot due to magnets.
The A9+ is intended for use as a media consumption tablet and for playing normal games
It can handle light to medium productivity tasks as long as you don't need a pen.
IF you need a pen consider the S9 FE.
I all of the media content I have is on my SD card, I personally don't like relying on streaming services
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I purchased my A9+ 8GB/128GB in February and for my use case it has been a very good tablet with no slow downs. I didn't experience any of the bugs that some have.
I mainly use the tablet for reading, manga, movies and the like with a little bit of social
What I did do on initial set up was set the display to 60hz and turn off RAM Plus. I also use dark mode which helps improve the colors a bit.
I also installed Nova Launcher as I prefer a closer to stock type interface while still having most of the features of One UI.
As far as video consumption goes, I loaded all of my movies/shows/anime to the SD card so I have what I want when I want it, and I am not dependent on streaming services. I personally don't like being tied down to streaming services as most of their apps are subpar and it's annoying to have to depend on internet just so I can sit back and relax when I'm on the go. (but that's a me thing)
I also loaded about 400 volumes of Manga on to my SD card.
So some might ask how do I rate the tablet?
Well I considered the performance of Samsungs latest budget/entry level midgrade tablet as follows:
CPU speed is faster than the majority of tablets in the upper budget tablets it's not a power house yet I'd say it's probably an 8/10
Display (on my unit) as can be seen in the picture is about 8.5/10 as my tablet has no noticeable light bleed.
RAM/Storage 8GB/128GB is fine and things run nice and fast. I only keep the OS & Apps on internal storage (I also have a 512GB SD card for storing videos/manga & books on) so at least in my case every thing runs as expected although it would be nice if there was a 12GB version. I give it an 8/10
Probably the only thing that has disappointed me has been the batter as the SoT is shorter than my other tablets as I get about 15 hours SoT which is a solid 7/10
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some ask how it compares performance wise to the S9 FE...... Well in this case I can only compare the A9+ to
my Redmi Pad Pro 6GB/128GB which has identical performance to the S9 FE based on the benchmark tests.
I can safely say that in real world use the A9+ is slightly slower than the Redmi Pad Pro/S9 FE yet we are only talking maybe 2 or 3 tenths of a second slower loading time on the A9+....
The A9+ can easily have 8 apps open at once where as the Redmi Pad Pro can easily have 12 apps open and probably more even though it has 2GB less RAM
IF you're going to take notes with the pen or do art the S9 FE is definitely the tablet to go for.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. So far, so good.
I have had other Samsung tablets in the past (currently upgrading from a 10" Galaxy Tab A 2020) and generally have found the Samsung apps underwhelming, so I uninstall whatever I can, and deactivate the rest. I tend to use the native Android stuff or Microsoft or other third-party apps for basic functions. (Vivaldi browser, Synology for cloud stuff, Fastmail / Outlook for e-mail, Digical for calendars, various YouTube alternatives, SimpleGallery, OneNote as a digital scrapbook, etc.)
I am wondering if I am missing out on anything really special with this tablet when it comes to Samsung apps. Especially given the pen setup.
I use the tablet largely for reading PDFs and surfing, some YouTube, some e-mail, no art- or photography-related stuff (yet), no games. I use a Google Pixel phone and Windows systems for home and work.
Looking forward to recommendations.
So I'd been pricing these for a while and was going to get one by the end of the day if no better offer than the $999 sale price came along.
Went by BestBuy this morning, put one in the cart, and noticed that there were $270 worth of "free offers" that were added. I figured they were antivirus and such - and some of them were. But also included was an A9 kid's tablet.
If you've been shopping for a S10 Ultra this is the best deal I've seen this week outside trade-in offers.
The tablet stoped working. Can't open any apps. Already tried to reset and clear cache but it didn't work
Hello, I've been wanting to get a Galaxy tab for myself and I was wondering which one should I get?
I'm a student and I'd mainly use it for: •Note taking/Reading PDFs •Digital Art •Watching videos
I'd have to carry it a lot of the times. Tab S9 Ultra is around $15 cheaper than Tab S10+ in my local stores.
Also can a tab replace a laptop completely? I'm also planning to build a PC so getting a laptop seems redundant.
I appreciate you for taking your time and reading this.
When I bought the Book, I got the Tab as a gift from Samsung. The multi control was flawless. But lately, I´ve had no connection between my Book and Tab. When I try to connect my Tab, it does show on the bluetooth list and I get a pin code on both devices, but when I want to connect it, it says ´Pin code is incorrect` or `Connection failed, check if device is in pairing mode`. Has anyone else had this problem, and can that someone help me?
With the risk of this sounding like a first world problem.
I recently bought a new phone and got a promotional free tablet (Tab A9+) with it. But instead of leaving it in its original packaging and selling it for never-used price I opened it in my excitement. Now I feel commited to making the tablet of use, but there isn't really much to do on a tablet that either my phone, my computer of my tv can't do. I am currently using it to play mobile games like Plague Inc and Fallout: Shelter on a bigger screen, but I'm hoping I can do more than that.
And just in case there really isn't much more than that: what are some good mobile game recommendations? I haven't looked into mobile games for a good while.
Hey guys 👋
Recently I got a Tab S10 Plus. What I have noticed so far is that all the videos on YouTube are capped on 720p. I already selected the quality in the settings that I prefer. However, the default seems to be 720p. Does anyone know why it is like this? I thought it was supposed to be at least 1080p. As far as I know, the tablet does not support 4K resolution.
Hey, what's your take on this one? My use case: I'm a student, so it's mainly note-taking (however, only with the keyboard), reading PDFs, some basic office stuff, writing emails, reading the news, surfing the net, watching videos, and media consumption. When I'm in college, I use DEX all the time (around 4 hours per day). When I'm back home, I switch to tablet mode and then use it for YouTube, social media, and playing games. At home, I use it primarily in portrait mode.
So, I don't know which one to choose. I think the Tab S9+ will be better for college stuff, and the Tab S9 will be better for home stuff. The Tab S9+ (12/256) is around $200 more than the Tab S9 (8/128). I can afford it; however, I don't know if it's worth it to pay $200 more. So, which one would you choose? I forgot to mention that I do have a PC at home, so I'm looking for a more portable device. I don't need a laptop. I can make any documents or presentations I need on my PC at home. I did have a laptop some time ago, but it just collected dust.
And sorry for any mistakes. English is not my primary language.
Hey guys,
Sorry questions been asked so many time I bet, I will ask again.
I have received a S6 Lite when I bought my S24 Ultra, and while I was not planning to use it, I do like it and like how the S-Pen is and how nice it is to take notes with it in Uni.
However, it is lag-city with the tablet, everything takes ages and not the fastest, which I understand why, not complaining about it, especially when it is was free.
I would like to upgrade, to a bigger screen so I can have my notes ans slides on the screen, and something a bit faster. I have a very light use of it, note taking, youtube and some very light gaming such as Animal Crossing Pocket Camp thingy, and some light media consuming while travelling.
Not planning to break the bank for it I must be honest, I will have use of it for the next two years, finishing my degree then I will look for something more "long-term"
I am based in UK if that helps, I would really appreciate if you could share which model I should go for.
Many thanks!
When I make video calls on instagram, my display/pic is often showing in a different angle where the other user has to tilt their head to see me properly portrait mode. Is there any way to fix this??
Hi, is 8gb ram enough for casual use ?. I'll mostly use my tab for streaming, note taking and to play some games but not extensively. my situation is like this: I'm planning to get the new S9 tab but the 12gb variant has a longer delivery time and I'll be moving out of my current city before it arrives. I don't have an address in the new city yet. The 8gb variant can be delivered before I move. Also the black friday sale ends today. So I'm confused about what to get.
it cant update...i bought usb dogle for ethernet cable...and i can browse internet...but if i go to software update under settings it says network not available...
i really do not understand why is this tablet so buggy or just not smart to use existing network via usb ethernet cable
my tablet is
i am really shocked how can a tablet new be so weird...
also when i try to copy..paste files to sd card inside the tablet from pc....i get all these weird disconnections....it is impossible to do any copy...paste...so I have to take out the sd card and copy paste files straight from computer....

Hey so I have an S9 FE that I just bought on black Friday.
I noticed immediately the pen feels like an eraser. I'm not super fond especially coming from PC tablets that I used for years.
Does anyone know if I can get something more rigid?
Also curious what a good Keyboard case would be that doesn't mess with the pen I heard magnets will mess the pen up.
I don't need a keyboard case. I mainly care about the pen situation at this moment. I just feel like a case might help me not lose it.
Wanting a device for our small church. We'd like to record up to 4 hours, edit, and post online. Occasionally, live stream. Not sure if the Galaxy S10 would be good for that?
I am a college student currently studying computer science, chemistry and physics. I really like the idea of having all my notes electronically to both reduce my paper clutter, and help contain all my notes neatly. Im wondering if a Tab S8 Ultra would be able to handle my computer science needs (such as coding in numerous languages which may include java, python, c++ and more. And if it would be able to handle any other tasks a computer science student would need) If anyone would be able to help me out with my enquiry, id greatly appreciate it.
Edit: I love handwriting notes which is why IM interested in the S8 ultra, massive screen to write on, and it comes with a pen
Do we think this is the cheapest the sales will be? For black friday or is xmas/boxing day deals usually better? Keen to buy but should I get on sale today or wait til xmas/new year for possible cheaper price? In NZ - original price $1450, sale price $1300 with free keyboard cover
- 60hz (super) AMOLED
- exynos 1480 or equivalent chip with a better GPU
- 8 inch model and 11 inch model, s10FE and S10FE+
- 1080p on 8 inch, 1440p on AMOLED
- $450 on 11 inch model, $330 on 8 inch model
- same design on 11 inch, similar design on 8 inch
- s pen support on all devices
12 inch should disappear as now in samsung's standards bigger=ultra
As the title says.
Just curious if I need to go for a specific type or even use Samsung's official adapter for plugging in my headphones?
I understand a matter screen protector would wear out the nob but what about an normal tempard glass ? Will it also damage the pen nib?. And to avoid any damage to the nib do I have to go for any premium screen protector or something from temu or aliexpress?
Thoughts on this one? It’s my driest Samsung device I’ve always been with Apple I’ve had it for a day now and wanting to know people’s opinions on it
I recently purchased a Samsung book cover and the slim keyboard. The first thing I noticed when I installed it on the tab is the difference in magnetic strengh. The tab latches firmly and securely onto the Book Cover back piece. However, on the Keyboard slim, it is rather weak and doesn't perfectly align with the camera right away unless I move it around. Same goes for using the pen flap at the top. Is my keyboard slim faulty or has this been everyones experience?
