The file is not to find online anymore

-Insyde H20 BIOS

-Manufacturing Date: 10.2012

-password is stored in EEPROM, instead of CMOS, only chance is .efi file or a programmer device

-"System Halt" after 3 faulty passwords, no hash or recovery key, cannot use bios-pw.org for masterpassword

-tried jumper shorting, remove battery, DOS-prompt commands, contacting Acer support etc.

I bought this model officially, but Acer charges a ridiculous price for this 1min process of flashing and booting from the .efi file, so the employee suggested to create a post on reddit and try my luck. :)

I recently bought the Acer Aspire 7, Intel i7 12th Gen with Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 and I am loving its performance, the battery life is a bit of disappointed as the predicted battery life keeps on reducing even while doing minimal tasks and the fans are a bit loud as well but overall it is an amazing laptop. Can you guys please provide some suggestions to improve my experience and the longevity of the laptop?

I am currently using the latest version of Windows 11 since it reminds me to update or automatically updates before every restart or shut down. From the beginning, I have been using cracked versions of Microsoft Office and Adobe software. However, last week, I regretted updating because it caused my cracked programs to stop working and they reverted to free trial versions.

Before the update, the programs worked very well, but the update caused problems. I would like to know if it is possible to revert back to the original version of my laptop, or if my only choice is to downgrade to Windows 10.

Pls help! My wifi and bluetooth suddenly went gone. Bluetooth option shortcut does not exist but still exist on the Network. However, my wifi option shortcut as well as Wifi on the Network is gone. What should I do???

Hello, I just realized after a long time that Acer disabled turbo boost with my processor (i5 5200u) and locked it in 2.2ghz in an update some time ago. Now I made a mistake upgrading my bios hoping that it will return, but it didn't. Now, I'd like to roll back to a previous version, attempting to enable it once again and get an extra oomph on this device since I still can't afford a new pc. My Bios version before I messed with it is v.1.10, now on v1.13, and I want to return it to bios v.1.03. 

I followed a tutorial online on how to make a bootable USB to flash my bios back to the v.1.03, but I can't find an .fd file, instead a .bin file. I still did what they said in the video and have the file renamed same as in the video. I just asked here first so in case I made another mistake, it will not lead to the demise of my laptop.

So I bought a brand new Acer aspire 5 laptop that was a great deal - 12gigs of ddr4, 512gb SSD, and came with Windows11 unfortunately. I don’t want win11, I absolutely hate it, but just figured I could stick my usb key in where I have windows 10, and some different Linux distributions… problem is, the bios Acer is using doesn’t allow you to change the boot order, or allow you to boot from usb, cd, anything . You can’t change from UEFI to legacy, nothing. I spoke to Acer and they say the same thing : “they don’t support people changing anything in bios, or changing the OS”.

It seems like they go to great lengths to make sure on these new laptops , your not messing around or changing anything.

Anyone know how to fix this?? Please, you help is very appreciated. As an aside, if I have to return the laptop, does anyone know of companies that DONT fill your computer with bloated software and go to lengths to not allow you to change the OS? I would have thought Acer would be that company over HP, Dell etc but alas….

I have this laptop problem, its the speakers, it keeps getting static noises and i tried everything checking the drivers, troubleshooting, restarting the services, rebooting back to early win11 and even paying technician to repair it but unfortunately it keeps coming back a couple of months after making it disappear. pls help me i dont have other computer and Im broke af to go to a technician again.

my laptop is aspire 3 acer w/out a numpad version and ryzen 5. i just want a solution that makes go away forever, i really tried everything and search on the internet doesnt help at all because they recommend the same options and all of it doesnt work.

Recently while playing almost any game my fps are going from my average 100 fps to 18-17 then back to 100 and its so annoying,they are frequent and constant and I cant even play anything anymore since I'll die before my laptop can start running smoothly again

I m thinking of buying this laptop, mainly for work. But i m wondering how the gaming performance is? Any experience? I m not looking for a high end gaming laptop, i know that there are better options. But i hope, that i can play newer games maybe in medium settings!? Thanks!

So, I was playing Roblox til I got bored and pressed x and turned off my computer. then I turned it on and the orange and blue lights were flashing and I got nervous. (forgot to mention it was plugged in) if anyone knows how to fix it, please comment.

I have a AOD260 (Acer Aspire One D260) with Intel Atom N450 and 1 GB RAM. I am looking to upgrade this laptop to 2-4 GB. It says it can only support 2 GB. Is this the case or can you add more?

I have an Acer Aspire Spin 3 that is out of warranty. The power cord connector to the laptop is starting to get loose. The cord still clicks into the laptop but I do foresee the day a repair will be needed. Any help will be appreciated.

I have an Acer Aspire and lost the recovery partition when the hard drive crashed. The laptop is out of warranty and has a cracked cover so I'm reluctant to spend a lot on it. Ideas or resources?
