I still use my nexus 10 for reading comics, and the back is really gross and sticky. I need to purchase a new case for the tablet but unsure which will fit in this day and age. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent case for a nexus 10? Thanks.
I can't find any wall mount kits to house a Nexus 10 mounted to the wall. Everything available today is targeted at Samsung Tab A8, A9, A10, etc. Anyone know if any of these models have the power/ volume buttons and charging port in the same location as the Nexus 10?
Example of kits I'm referring to: https://smarthomemount.com/collections/wall-mount-kits-for-samsung-galaxy-tab-a-tablets
I haven't used my tablet in years and have as a result forgotten the pattern password. Recently I've remembered some file on it that I would like, but due to not using it in so long forgot the password, I guess it never got an update that meant you could say you forgot your password and you could get in another way. So we've had some difficulty getting into it was wondering if there is any advice.
Hello to everyone.
I'm looking for the best linux distribution to install on my tablet Nexus 10,instead of Android. I'm tired of Android. I've looked on internet and I dind't found nothing that can be defined stable, including sailfish os or postmarketos. So,I've thought : Why not try to enable kvm ? Maybe I can virtualize Linux, even FreeBSD. I've found this patch :
https://github.com/sleirsgoevy/exynos-kvm-patch
he says that it is for the Samsung Galaxy A6,but also that it is for the Exynos platform. I don't know if it will work on the Nexus 10 / Manta. The original thread is here :
here they say to grab the samsung source code stored here :
https://opensource.samsung.com/uploadList?menuItem=mobile
unfortunately I didn't find the source code for the Nexus 10 (model GT-P8110). If i want to try the patch I need to know where I can grab it. Thanks.
I want to maximise performance on my nexus 10, it is running android 5.1.1 but I want to make it go further with a custom ROM, are there any good ones that will help with this? Apparently LineageOS 13 is good but I'm not sure?
I recently flashed android 5.0.2 onto my nexus 10 and it worked, then I left it charging overnight and it was on 0%, so I unplugged it and used a different charger and now when I try to power it on, it just shows the charging symbol and then turns off, I've tried holding it for longer (30+ seconds) and it does the same thing.
I got a nexus 10 tablet from my college for free because they were going to throw it away and I found out it had been rooted, so I tried to unroot it with the WugFresh toolkit and it just kinda froze on trying to open bootloader so I disconnected it and now the tablet won't go off the bootloader, I can't go into recovery mode because it sends me back to the main menu, if I try to restart it then it just sends me back to the bootloader
My Nexus 10 is still technically usable, but it's so slow now. I want to use it for reading comics, but I'm wondering if there's a better OS I can install. Is there a version of Android which is optimized for legacy devices?
Anyone in the UK got a Nexus 10 pogo charger they don't want or would like to sell? Or even anyone in US that could ship?
I just spent the entire day downgrading from marshmallow CyanogenMod 6 to sock Android 5.
The reason for this is because I wanted to play Call of duty mobile on my tablet using my PS4 controller.
Call of duty mobile supports Android 5 and up and must have a minimum of two gigabytes of ram.
When I checked the ram using CyanogenMod I only saw 1.1 so I thought there's a problem with cyanogenmod, I downgraded to stock assuming that I'd have the full two gigs available that is quoted on the specifications however it's still 1.1 gigs of RAM. I read on a past Reddit that Google allocates 1 gig to video.
I'm not 100% sure that this is the reason why Call of duty mobile is not showing up in the Android app store however I would like to get Call of duty Mobile on this tablet. Anyone know how?
Hello, Im trying to update my Nexus 10 from Android 5.1.1.
I go to system update, but it says there are no updates.
I'm positive there are much higher versions.
Is 5.1.1 the last supported Android version for Nexus 10?
I'm thinking my faithful Nexus 10 2013 is nearing the end of it's useful life. It's been running Kitkat forever and I decided to finally let it update to Marshmallow.
Battery life has gone from a week to a day, maybe two. I've noticed that it's standby time that is hit the hardest. I could leave Kitkat for a fortnight and still have power to do a few things. Marshmallow is nearly dead after one night's sleep.
Anyone know what's going on?
I'm fairly knowledgeable about tinkering and experienced with porta/firmwares, etc..
Not sure this is the best place to be making this request, but I am looking to buy Nexus 10 tablets. I can pay $55 + shipping as long as the tablet doesn't have:
Please let me know, thanks!
Anyone interested in buying a Nexus 10?
It was infrequently used, is in great shape, will come with the original box, the official book cover, a Case Logic cover for the tablet, original cable, charger and pogo cable.
Any takers?
I did a full reset to go back to stock and clean up.
But now it won't connect to WiFi. Never had this problem til now. Some reading has revealed its a known issue. The kind that the wifi never authenticates, just keeps reverting to saved.
So I can't even get past the connect to wifi screen.
Any suggestions?
Help. Blue led notification light always turned on, even when the tablet shuts down the light stays on until the battery is drained
I have several of Nexus 10 tablets. So I'm wondering - what are my options in installing proper Linux distro on Nexus 10 ? I don't mind rooting the device. I'd use the device for Kiosk or maybe as as server as well (Android kiosk app generally suck with autobooting, power management). I tried PostmarketOS, however I got stuck in boot loop - it seems that PostmarketOS is poorly supported on this device. Ubports also doesn't support this device for Ubuntu Touch. Is there any general procedure how to install Linux on Android devices, to replace Android. I know Anlinux and Termux - however this is not what I want. I need device to boot directly into Linux - preferrably into some DE - without booting into Android first. I'd appreciate any reference on where to search.
Hi
I've just dug my old nexus 10 out, and am thinking of using it as a secondary tablet for light browsing etc. It's currently on 5.1.1, but has loads of crap on it, and is running somewhat slowly. I was wondering if I factory reset it, whether it would update back to 5.1.1 without having to root it? On a side note, I seem to be a lucky 1 with a battery that still works! ๐
Thanks!
Hi - I'm in Costa Rica and need a pogo charger for a friend's tablets. She is a Venezuelan refuge living here. Here daughter uses the tablet to learn as much as possible while school are closed her but the charger broke. My friend will be visiting at the end of December and can bring the cable for me if someone has one laying around that they don't need.
Will Venmo $$ for shipping to Philadelphia
I just dug up my old Nexus 10 and was hoping to use it as a remote screen for my videography app called FilmIC Pro. Only to find out the app doesn't support Android Our which the tablet is stuck on.
I know rooting is a thing and was wondering if it were possible for me to do this and get that app working. I know nothing about these sort of things so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
Cheers
So I tried to install lineageOS 18 on my N10 (did the repartition and stuff). While it installed it won't boot properly, I get black screen with UI only sometimes flashing on for a second. Recovery also changed to lineage recovery. Adb shows the tablet as offline no matter what I do (be it in recovery or fastboot mode), so I can't even push files to it. Any way to unbrick it from this point?
So I've had my Nexus 10 since 2013. It still works relatively well (even manage to get ~2/2.5 hours out of the battery), but it's time for a newer tablet with recent software.
Ideally, I'd want one which is well-supported by LineageOS, as keeping updated is something I value.
There's nice ones from Samsung, but the cost a fortune ($650-$850). The Amazon Fire seems nice (and really cheap at <$100), but LineageOS doesn't seem to support it well and I don't wants Amazon's lock-in and privacy invasion.
What do people from here recommend? What (current) tablet have you replaced your N10 with?
Hey guys, I need help, I can't find remix os 2.0 rom, only in xda you can download 1.5 which have problems with google store (can't communicate with google servers). Maybe somenone have rom and can share a link with me?
Long shot - anyone have a pogo cable?
I don't use mine any more. There are a few small paint chips on both ends, just cosmetic. I think it needs a new battery, as it doesn't run for long. Send me a DM, and a paid shipping label and it's yours.
No idea of pricing. Battery like new and not sticky back. What would you pay?
