I’m thrilled to announce that we’re gearing up for the Kickstarter launch of Blood on the Sands! After years of hard work, dedication, and countless hours of development, the time has finally come to make this dream a reality. If you're interested, we kindly ask that you follow the link and sign up to be notified when the Kickstarter launches https://www.kickstarter.com/proj.../bloodonthesands/arena...
Blood on the Sands is a historically inspired skirmish game that brings the brutal, high-stakes world of ancient gladiatorial combat to life on your tabletop. Whether you’re a veteran gamer or a relative novice, the game immerses you in thrilling one-on-one gladiatorial duels, dynamic, and full of tactical depth.
Blood on the Sands will come complete and ready-to-play straight out of the box. You can jump straight in with a quick match against your opponent, or settle in for a longer campaign, where you don the mantle of a lanista, the master of a gladiator school or ludus. Recruit, train, and manage a stable of gladiators, each with their own backgrounds and traits, and trained in one of the distinctive fighting styles. As they progress from tiros to veterans, these warriors live only for the roar of the crowd and the promise of victory in the arena. But in the world of the gladiator, fame is fleeting, and the arenas of the Empire are littered with the fallen. Will you guide your fighters to glory, or will they fall, forgotten, like blood on the sands!More news to follow...

Sorry if this has been asked before. I am going to start working with a local store that wants to start transitioning into hosting tabletop wargames. Currently they exclusively do DnD style RPG games. Now, the tough part is what games do you think will work for a younger audience? The only prerequisites are that it is family friendly (well, you know what I mean) and that the rules are still available.
So far One Page Rules looks really promising and DiceHeads Zoontalis looks pretty perfect but we want to have more options. Anything related to historical battles or that encourage building over multiple games in a campaign would be perfect but no bad ideas.
edit: I am getting some awesome suggestions here from a lot of different perspectives. I will add a little context. This started as an after school dnd club and has grown so large it is now a none profit with its own room space for gaming tables, storage and more. It's been going so long now that a lot of the kids who started in it have since become teenagers and graduated, so we are helping kids from their first miniature all the way to their senior year. My job in all this is to handle 3D printing so no matter what they may want to play there will be miniatures available.
I just got into miniature painting and wargaming. I love the Operational/Strategic grand scale army style over the small squad/platoon tactical style of games. Managing as a high-up officer multiple groups and logistics excite me. Combining these two ideas I’ve narrowed down to games that use 6mm-15mm miniatures are the best to keep these ideas, however I find it easier to purchase 28mm minis, but I can see how that isn’t possible. I know it’s asking a lot but I need helping finding games that fit the large grand scale army controlling wargaming with miniature painting. Any era will do. Solo scenarios if applicable.
I have liked the look of the Darklands miniatures from Mierce Miniatures. https://www.mierce-miniatures.com/ The website is tough to navigate easily, but the world seems awesome and the minis look amazing, unique, and creative.
However, I don't know a single person who has purchased a mini from this company or ever played the game. I am sure someone out there is doing it, but the cost of the minis are high so owning an army for a game no one plays might not make sense for the average interested person.
Anyone have experience with this game? How does it compare to other fantasy battle or skirmish games?
Surely there are enough factions and characters to furnish a Warriors battle game. What else would you like to see?
A second-to last reminder all :D

For this first war, players will align with one of two factions:
You’ll be battling on Arkaia, a planet with diverse environments like the Volcano of Cinderspire, the mystical Eternal Hot Springs, and the towering Skyroots that connect the planet’s ecosystem. Each of these landmarks adds a layer of strategic depth to the game, offering unique benefits and challenges.
