Infinity is wargame that simulates combat and special operations with 28mm scale metal miniatures. Skirmishes take place in a rich science fiction environment with Manga aesthetics. Infinity miniatures are characterized by the high quality and detail of their modeling, the dynamism of their postures and their futuristic aesthetic.
This subreddit is for all things Infinity. From the game itself, its rules and fluff, to painting the minis, making terrain, finding or organizing battles and so on.

Hello Infinity players! I've seen many posts asking what mini you may have, so I hope I can help any newer player by pointing you toward this awesome resource:
https://human-sphere.com/Identification_Sheets
I wish there were images (I know there are a few, but not enough) on the army builder app, but this has helped me find out what extra minis I've gotten a hold of.
I built myself a bunch of magnetic boxes for my Warhammer and Saga minis to travel in. But Infinity bases are throwing me for a loop. The set-in under them takes a 5x1mm very well, but that's not enough to keep the mini from sliding around.
My older minis came with bases that were deep enough in three of the four quarters to comfortably fit two 5x2 mm which keeps the minis in place in the box. But all the bases I got with Sandtrap have raised areas in the three quarters instead so the magnets no longer fit flush.
So before I buy some more magnets to fiddle around with 1,5 mm thick ones in the hope they fit, I wanted to hear what other players use for magnetizing their stuff.
Highlander Greys, Cameronians, Volunteers, Wulvers, Mormaers all have no profiles anymore, as they gutted the Highlanders.
Sure, a lot of units got repurposed into Kosmoflot, but still... What to use the others for, thats closest to the look?
So what do you do with them?
Edith says: Caterans, SAS, Scots Guard & Uxia can go as Kosmoflot, Galwegians are still in Generic Ariadna.
What makes either tag better than the other for MO?
I saw some old discussions saying Tikbalangs are better than Seraph for MO but those were from N4.
When you take a tag do you have to take the peripherals or are they optional? How useful are the peripherals?
I've seen some pics of plastic template sets along with silhouette markers to help determine LOS.
Any suggestions on good ones available in the US? I'm trying to avoid international shipping.
Thanks.
So I bought a few packs of the Darpan Xeno station terrain.
Do you guys seal the edges with pva?
Do you bother to colour the edges with a marker?
I wish I'd known they come with tokens as well, though I imagine they don't cover everything.
Thanks.
Does anyone perhaps know where i might purchase some infinity models in Taipei Taiwan, Thx in advanced.

I have decided to go about putting together some lists of units based on how I categorize their roles. That way I can easily tell what can accomplish which specific tasks while I'm building a list.
This time I've made one with the mindset that "anything that can fulfill the role will be part of that role", It'd probably do some good to trim it down though? Maybe not? I am not sure.
It is worth noting I am inexperienced with this faction, and the game in general, so I've categorized things mostly based on their actual stats and not performance in-game.
Same as last time, I'd appreciate any feedback anyone can give to either of the posts. If it's got a question mark next to it, it may not be super reliable in that role (but can still fulfill the requirements).
It is worth noting that the "Sweepers" section of this post is a bit different than usual, as Hassassins don't have a lot of profiles that fight well outside of 24", but they fight exceedingly well inside that range. I've decided to include them in the sweepers section alongside their longer range attackers.
Here is the list:
• Sweepers (long range active turn gunfighters):
• Primary ARO Pieces (same as previous, but reactive turn):
• Midfield Obstacles (stuff that starts in the midfield to cause problems. Especially cheap ones (sub-15-20 pts) can be considered mostly disposable, treat them as landmines):
• Deep Strikers (somewhat disposable attack piece to trade with an important, but hard to reach target):
• Active Specialists (specialists that can do objectives on their own and move fast/forward deploy):
• Support Specialists (more dedicated specialists, you'll likely be taking them in fireteams and footslogging them up the board):
• Hunters (Midfield clearers and close assault, may end up in your opponent's DZ):
• Point Guards (disposable-ish and usually cheap AROs to deal with close range threats):
• Order Generators (exist mostly to be cheap regular order generators):
I haven't properly played infinity since the start of 2024, so I'm jumping back in with N5 (as is most of my local group).
In light of that, I'm trying to get better at list building by categorizing units in my main army (Steel Phalanx)so I am able to quickly identify which units fulfill which roles. Ideally I would like to then make one of these for other factions I plan on getting into.
Here is the list I've built so far, I would appreciate any feedback you can give. Nothing here is in any kind of order. If it's got a question mark next to it, it may not be super reliable in that role (but can still fulfill the requirements)

Edit: update log:
Reasoning: they can't fight well outside of 24" but they have reasonable gunfighting skills/equipment on their own that their longer range counterparts don't have.
Reasoning: it's another guy with a missile launcher, it's there if you need it.
Reasoning: I forgot to account for them, they are footslogging specialists so they still count.
Reasoning: These are basically upgrades to the Lamedh Rebots, they can actually hurt things sometimes as well but are still rather cheap.
Well, I have to say I do appreciate all the help and insight you have all given! I just finished these first 7 miniatures from Crimson Stone. Its been about 24 years since I have touched a paintbrush but am fairly happy with how these have turned out, struggled with painting the eyes on these, didn't realize just how small they are.
I also didn't listen, Ive purchased all sorts of sets, love the look of the them, one thing I discovered when painting them was that the One character carrying the machine gun was missing his sword for across his back.
I do have one question though, should I be sealing these at all with anything? Feels like the paint seems to chip fairly easy on the metal minis, doesnt help that my womb gremlins constantly want to check them out.
Thanks all!
Looking to get into the game, just seeing if there is anyone in the region. I am in Moncton but mobile
Hello, just wondering with the release of N5 if new Operations & Classified Decks are going to be published?
Any idea on whether it's better to wait a little bit, or go ahead and grab one now?
Hey ya'll, I'm a new player looking for feedback on a list I'll be playing against a friend of mine. I haven't played acquisition yet, but I think this is a pretty good starting point.
gTEHdGFydGFyeRJBY3F1aXNpdGlvbiBsaXN0IDGBLAIBAAgBhHABAwACgOMBAQADgPIBg0UABIDqAQIABYRwAQYABoD%2FAQEAB4DxAQEACIR%2BAQMAAgAHAYDwAQIAAoEAAQUAA4YtAQEABISAAQEABYRmAQcABoRmAQYAB4RmAQMA
The general idea is to use the Streloks as my front line skirmishers, antipodes for sensor (My friend plays Haq), pavel and dog warriors for cc, a vet harris for long range gunfights and a frontovic HRL duo for AROs. What do you think?
Hey folks!
So a little background on me: I’ve dabbled in a few miniature games over the years. I dipped my toes briefly into N4 right around Endsong but Life Circumstances pulled me away.
Now a few months after the launch of N5 I’m diving back in. There’s also a brand new FLGS in my area and while I, myself, am learning to play the game there are a few other players at the store also interested.
So while I myself am still a student I have enough familiarity with it to at least start teaching the basics and my hope is we can all learn together bit by bit at the store in a sort of learning/escalation league/series.
My plan is to start on the ground floor with the contents of the Essentials box and over time introduce more complicated concepts such as Lieutenant orders, fireteams, hacking, and the many different keywords.
My question for the community is after the Essentials Box fundamentals are down, what concepts do I move onto next? I want to try and layer on rules at a pace that doesn’t overwhelm everyone but also at a pace that isn’t a complete slog.
Thanks, everyone!
Hello! I've found a highly discounted collection pack for PanOceania. I'm starting with Infinity -so far I'm playing demos, reading a lot, trying to find my faction. Seeing that there's a big % reduction, I'm pondering it.
How is that box for N5? PanO players, sell me your army! Why should I play the smurfs?
Thanks in advance!
Hey, I hope this isn't against rules, sorry to bring this here but Infinity is pretty dead in our local gaming stores.
Are there any people in western Slovakia looking for players? I'm getting into wargaming with N5 and would love to play casually often, ideally in Bratislava but I also travel regularly to Trnava and Piešťany.
Thanks, i understand if this gets deleted.
