New to Firefight here. I’ve read the rules on the overwatch action a few times and it doesn’t seem to say what it actually does. It describes ways to lose it and how being pinned affects you while on overwatch.
Can someone describe why one would take this action?
Thanks!
My weekly gaming table is a group of four buddies who play a variety of tabletop games together. One of my guys is pretty excited about Firefight and bought the Assault on Exham and Edge of Sanity starter sets, so each of us players will have a faction of our own to start with. We love learning new games but are fairly novice wargamers, so these are my questions:
Thanks for any insights you may have for us!
Quick question- is there any way to get single older stls from the Mantic vault? I'm looking to get the Mecha-kaiju for Overdrive (since it was never released), but I only see the 30gbp option for the entire month's (July 2023) stls?
Also, I think originally the mecha-kaiju was going to be in a rivals 2 pack with an Aberration, was the Aberration Overdrive card\figure ever released in the vault?
So I ordered myself two boxes of Frostclaw riders for my Age of Fantasy force. Looking at the sprues, it seems I now have quite a lot of leftover bits, in particular four sets of wings?
Seems like such a waste, how do you make use of the leftovers? Any good ways of getting a hold of more bodies?
Thanks to a good hobby tip, I was able to finish this squad of Peacekeepers inspired by the Hero's Duty troopers from Wreck-It Ralph. The head bits from Anvil Industries were a good fit, thankfuly. I still have to make Sgt Calhoun and will probably just the last Peacekeeper body I have and an appropriate head bit from Stargrave Mercenaries II
I am struggling with assembling the Enforcers Peacekeepers models. I love their look and style, but the legs are so fiddle.
I'm not sure why the leg joints are shaped the way they are because they are still monopose. But the fit is very loose and keeping slipping out as I try to get it to be flat on the base.
I start with gluing one of legs to the base, usually the one that stands flat on it. But then trying to balance the torso and the other leg so that it makes proper contact with the base is frustrating.
I've finished three models out of a total of ten and an worried about messing them up. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but not sure what.
Any help would be appreciated.
Does anyone know if the preorders that they’ve sent as of the 14th timeline specific? I may have pre ordered late by ordering first week of September, but I’m just hopeful. Haven’t received any sort of info from mantic. Appreciate it!
Are there any decent walking dead all out war community pages anywhere? I'd heard there was on Facebook but the only one I could find has 50 odd members and only 2 posts a year
Hey i got more interested into the miniature than the acutal game. Exspecially the dwarfes as i need some "space dwarf" for a 5 parsecs campaing. I allready own a few miniature of other systems (SW Legion/Warhammer) wich are all around the standard 28mm scale so i wanted to know wich scales the Firefight minis have to keep everything in Sync
My LGS recently started carrying and promoting firefight and I got pretty hooked after a demo. Thinking of dropping 40k to start but sadly Im gonna be moving away soon and will be in Los Angeles for a bit. Wanted to know how the firefight community in the US is doing before I commit. Will I be able to actually use my new army if I bought one? Also looking for recommendations on places to play and groups to join so I can find a new hobby club when I get there!
So I finally had my "bollocks to you GW," moment last year with the killing off of 5 of my armies, after being burned out on years of FOMO wankery and price increases. My fiance got together with my mum and bought me a Plague army (they're amazing) and I've had a lot of fun painting and building that, so much so I fancy Enforcers next.
But having had a look at Mantic, there's a ton of stuff over there that I like the look of. I want it all, obviously, but unsure what games are good, what games are well supported and which look to disappear. I'm a bit worried of something just disappearing, like GW tend to do, and having seen Hellboy and walking dead come and go, it makes be a bit worried.
All I know is I really don't fancy KoW. I love fantasy but I really dislike rank and flank. That being said I will buy a halfling army.
What else is good? I'm dubious about buying into a Lisence franchise game, but what do Mantic make that you really like and what do I need to buy to get into that game and have a good time?
TL/DR: lost my confidence with buying models due to GW, what's safe and fun to buy and what will I get a lot of use/mileage out of?
I'm an idiot and can't work this out: on the plastic Ogre Warriors sprue, how can I tell which arms go with which hands? Any help appreciated.
This one, do you use it? Thoughts?
Does anyone actually have the release dates for halo and walking dead all out war. I have checked the timeline update but confused as the site I was looking at said 27th for walking dead now it’s all sold out and not available? I have currently pre ordered both.l and messaged a few stores with no reply.
Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction please.
Hey all.
So have a plague army. Fiance picked enforcers for me as second army. Have the command box.
What's a good few bits to pick up for the army? What do we like? Anything that's worth avoiding?
Also can we take GCPS units? If so, what's good there?
Is the Iron Ancestor from Dreadball the same size as the ones made for Firefight/Warpath/Deadzone?
Hey all
My fiance bought me the enforcer command as a present. I'd love to paint them but I'm not a huge fan of the mantic colour scheme. I saw a fun iron man inspired one, but not sure how it would look across an army.
Painting mainly with contrast, what colour schemes do we like? Do you have any fun ones I can see?
Looking forward to finishing my collection. Just waiting for some word on when that will be, hopefully soon.
