Virtuality is the environment in which users of virtual reality, augmented reality, or mixed reality interact with. It can be used to refer to any of the three types of digital realities, though it is most commonly viewed as the short hand noun for "Virtual Reality" or VR.

Assigning Link Flair - Advice

Tagging your posts as VR, AR, MR, MV, or NA is advised. If you don't feel like doing this, feel free to post anyway, we will assign a flair for you.

Use the VR flair for posts about virtual reality related topics.

Reserve AR flair (augmented reality) for non-immersive devices such as cell phones and cameras. Using AR for immersive subjects is okay, however, if the article linked to refers to the technology as augmented reality.

Use MR (mixed reality) flair for headsets such as Hololens and Magic Leap, as many of their features lean towards VR with real world elements transposed. Yes, they may be augmenting reality, but they are the only devices capable of mixed reality. So we are making this distinction for organizational purposes.

Use the MV flair for topics that are metaversal in nature, or more precisely, about the metaverse. The metaverse crosses all realities - VR, AR, and MR, so it is not directly specific to any of them, despite mostly being related to VR at the moment.

If you are unsure what flair to assign, please assign NA (not applicable) and a moderator may choose to adjust your flair assignment.

Best VR Tennis Game on Oculus Quest

For me First Person Tennis is the best complete tennis game. I play it the most. Big props to the developer.

Of the others ProShot tennis is very good but only a demo. Esports Tennis is also shaping up nicely but early stages.

    Verdict.

Buy First Person Tennis. Download the free demos of Proshot Tennis and Esports Tennis. All the tennis games are on Applabs.

Best VR Cricket game on Oculus Quest?

    Really tough one.

Cricket Club is the original master although abandonware now. Definitely get it and play on airlink/link or via Virtual Desktop if you have a capable PC or Laptop. It's amazing. Sound and physics are incredible

IB Cricket is excellent and a dev team that works 24 hours a day. Lots of features and uodates.

Cover Drive Cricket is a sole developer project but has really nice physics. I play it a lot especially with beat sabre type handles or attaching controller to a plastic bat.

Final Overs was first out of the blocks on the Quest so fair play to the Sole dev. I don't think it's near the other 3 in physics and in terms of a simulation but I know plenty of people still have it.

    Verdict.

Buy Cricket Club, CDC and IB! 🤣
