I've kind of checked out of politics and pop culture in general for the time being. The only reason I found out he was on Fallon's show because I accidentally logged out of Youtube and saw the thumbnail of Trump sitting net to Fallon on the front page. Basically, I just needed to say how fucking surreal that is. Like it wasn't already surreal that we have a major presidential contender, but it's so absurd to see a man that neo-nazis and KKK members love on an evening talk show as if everything is normal and fine.
Luckily the video is almost entirely "disliked" so that's nice.
AKA, libertarians are dumb. (Can I say that?)
These resources are not PERFECT, and I haven't read through every single one, and it's entirely possible that they have shitty arguments buried within.
But there's still a wealth of good material here, especially if you think Libertarianism is a big pile of SAWCSM poo.
Gary Johnson, if you were unaware, is the former New Mexico Governor who ran in the 2012 Republican Presidential primary. After failing to get noticed, he accepted the Libertarian Nomination for POTUS, coming up just shy of 1% of the votes in the general election.
For some insight into his worldview, the one book he recommends is Atlas Shrugged, and is "intrigued" by bitcoin.
He does AMAs often, with one last month, 7 in total, to overwhelming fanfare from reddit's pro-privatization capitalist crowd. His latest appearance, however, gets a mixed reception.
A commenter points out a lack of depth in Johnson's answers..
