I had a bunch of odd pieces and scraps and wanted to save the cabinet below. Behold ye mortals! Frankenstorage!!!
I’m 5’10” and can reach the bottom of the door. Is there a logical reason someone would hang this so high up?
Hey All,
I'm an instructor at a community makerspace called "Shop Class New Bern." We're gearing up for our 4th ever Belt Sander Drag Race, on September 22nd, 2024. The event features races of belt sanders down a 40' straight track, and includes a Stock and Modified Division, as well as a Best Decorated award. Entry fee is $5, and all money raised goes to the local school for their art program.
We'll have a beer tent, food truck, and local musician playing, and it's always a lot of fun.
If you want to enter or check it out, check our website at https://www.shopclass-nb.com/belt-sander-drag-races for all the details, and please feel free to ask any questions.
Admittedly it spent 29 of those years as a tree.
For extra points, which parts did I scramble to add as I realized it needed reinforcement...
I just got done applying the third coat of polyurethane. Sanding with 1500 grit between each coat.
Found some old scrap OSB from previous owner in the attic. Yes it's off square. Yes all the pieces are different lengths and widths. But by golly it got the fucking job done. Last of many steps to take down shitty husky shelves and reclaim 2x4 floor space.
Can I just continue to reiterate that as shitty as this is, the reddit interface for posting is worse. Reddit, please hire me, this can be so much better.
