Is there anywhere I can get disposable vapes here in Rotterdam?
My family are coming over for the weekend of the 30th November/1st of December and I thought it might be nice to take them to a Christmas market. However, the ones in Belgium don't open until the following weekend. Does anyone know of anything open that is worth a visit?
Gefeliciteerd, u bent nu de hoofdstad, zal wel dankzij de voorbeeldige voetbalsupporter zangkoren zijn. Groetjes uit Amsterdam.
Hi!
I will be in Rotterdam for a weekend to attend a party at Maassilo at the end of the month.
I'd like to know if r/Rotterdam has any advice regarding the venue, DOs/DONTs, tips (I hear there are lockers where I can leave my stuff, but I've also heard they're rather expensive) or any comments in general that can help me make the most of my weekend.
Thanks!
What's up with a new 'trend' hitting people with eggs? I was walking my dog today, and 3 kids/teenagers on their fatbikes threw an egg at my dog. He's fine, but... wtf?
Greetings, I was traveling through Rotterdam and my magical TED Ziggy, https://magicted.co/ , decided to stay there without me. Will you help me find him?
He is small stuffed tigger last seen at StayOkay hostels and/or Citizen M hotel. Neither place had him in the lost and found.
Ziggy likes to adventure. He was adopted in Wales, lived in Iceland, and has been to five countries with latest being beautiful Netherlands.
If you find him, will you please let me know he is safe?
Thank you, Caden

TLDR: I'm looking for a new doctor in Rotterdam. Shoot your best recommendations!
I'm looking for a new doctor simply because I have lost faith in mine. The last times I went there, I was having strong fever for days (3days the first time, an entire week the second time) with throwing up etc, the whole thing... and they never gave me medecine. Worse even, they told me that I did not need Antibiotics - so I went to the hospital the next day, where they gave me antibiotics that fixed me up within 24h. Those are just examples of the many many times they failed to help. I went there once because my back was "stuck", it was incredibly painful, and they told me "you need to strecth".
I think you got the idea.
I do respect the traditional approach, the "embrace the pain and toughen up" - I really do, but that's just too much sometimes. I'm actually rarely sick, so I try to suffer in silence, but sometimes... I can't take an entire week off of work.
That being said, I have had weird heart pain these last days, painful chest, and tingling in my hands (thus making me think it's heart related), so this timeI need someone I can trust and rely on.
Suggestions?
Hey
I am looking for a job in Rotterdam for English, Slovakia and Czech speaking person. Yeah I even speak Germany tad bit, but truly prefer English as a communication tool since I am most proficient in that language. Mine experience range from construction related jobs (electro, ac's installations and other stuff) to customer service for eshops or apple. I am a very decent driver as I have mine license for over ten years and quite an amount of km driven. Well sadly it is only a B license. I have experience as forklift driver back in Czechia and warehouse managment. Could anyone throw me a decent site or a company that would be willing to hire a person like me? I own BNS number and have A1 papers so I am able to work here perfectly officially. And as a Czech with Czech ID and passport I am a member of European union. I even have a VCA certification so I can work in hazardous environment.
Thanks for any helpful answers.
Edit: Seems like I forgot to add that I have quite an experience with lacquer job as I was working in repair, repaint, restore classic cars company for a long time as it is a family business. I mostly do not add this stuff cause it is a very special field of work.
In Australia most people say that speed cameras are for safety
And the speed limits in Australia tend to be lower than the Netherlands too
A basic example of this is that in Netherlands if someone gets a ticket from a speed camera people say that they were still driving safely
In Australia if someone gets a ticket from a speed camera people say that they were a bad driver for breaking the speed limit
Beetje mistig he.
I’m an international in Rotterdam, Norwegian originally. Looking for opportunities to volunteer that don’t require knowing Dutch. I’ve checked the municipality websites a couple times, but it seems to be a lot of activities for the elderly that require speaking the language.
So, dear Rotterdammers, what are your suggestions for some good volunteering work one can help out with? This will be a during the night or on the weekends activity for me.
Any1 can give a helping hand for tuesday night.. which place is open and where we should go?🤯🤯
I am a highly skilled migrant worker living here since 2020. I have been doing my best to raise my confidence to improve my Dutch (currently B1 level) and initiate conversations and it’s going a lot better than before, only I feel like my Dutch is only good for settings like a supermarket or just a hi, hello with a random person.
I really want to improve my fluency level and make it so I can comfortably engage in more complex and meaningful conversations like at work for example, and I was wondering if there are language schools that are focused on work or business related skills, sending professional emails, reading/writing business reports, attending meetings, etc.
#help_post I'm an upcoming international student in Rotterdam, Netherlands for February intake. I'll be coming to Netherlands by January 18th 2025. When is the right time for me to look for an accommodation in Rotterdam.
