My husband and I just bought a house in Haarlem and noticed that the roof rainwater drains of both of our neighbours go directly into our pipes and small 'Bezinkput'.

We are worried because the water goes from the roof to into the flat roof of an extension that the house have and this really looks like a small pool, somethines up to 10 cm of water in the flat roof when it rains a lot.

After the flat roof the water goes into a small 'Bezinkput' that gets saturated.

I saw that the houses in the other side of the garden have 1 or even 2 pipes per house so I want to know if there is a regulation about this so I can discuss the matter with my neighbours.

If you know the answer of can direct me to a website where i can find information I will appreciate it

Hello! I'm thinking of organising a virtual pet-fans (tamagotchi and the like) meet-up in Haarlem, but I'm not really sure what would be a good location. Not quite sure how many people would be interested either since I haven't run one before. But probably a small group to start.

Mijn schoonmoeder (70+) zoekt een bootcamp groepje waarmee ze buiten kan sporten in of rond Haarlem. Het groepje waar ze altijd aan mee deed is gestopt en een vervanging is moeilijk te vinden. Heeft er iemand een tip?

Hello Haarlemers! I’m hoping someone could clarify this for me. I’m a freelancer living in Haarlem and am building up my freelance contact network. It’s slow going, but it’s going. However I’ve recently lost out to 2 jobs because my drivers license is not accepted in the Netherlands and so I need to do my theory, lesson and test all from scratch. I’m wondering if there is any local program that offers assistance in paying for lessons bearing in mind that not having a valid driving license is making me lose out on work?

Notes: I’ve driven in both South Africa (14 plus years) and America (1 year). I do not quality for the 30% ruling. I have signed up for Dutch lessons, but don’t believe my language learning has levelled enough for me to do driving lessons in Dutch. I have tried to do some research but I’m struggling to find a definitive answer online, so would appreciate patience in answering me.

Ik ben op zoek naar een leuke vereniging of sportschool in Haarlem waar ik (als beginner) zou kunnen kickboksen. Het liefst een plek waar ik nog op een bokszak zou kunnen trainen, omdat ik me nog niet heel comfortabel voel bij sparren. Ik heb wat rondgekeken, maar alles lijkt al snel heel fanatiek (met wedstrijden oid), waardoor ik niet zo goed weet of dat wel een plek voor mij is. 

Ik heb een tijdje bij Kenamju gezeten, maar vond de bokszaktrainingen daar niet echt leuk en ook niet echt gericht op techniek. In Zaandam heb ik wel eens aan wat bokslesjes kunnen meedoen die veel meer op techniek en verschillende combinaties waren gericht en waar ik op een bokszak kon trainen. Eigenlijk ben ik precies hier naar op zoek, maar dan in Haarlem :)

Heeft iemand tips?
