My father (almost 60 y/o) has gotten into the "stereotypical" rockabilly aesthetic over the past few years, finishing off his neo traditional tattoo sleeve this year. He plays the stand up base (not guitar) has the hair cut and is trying to get more into the fashion. I have previously purchased him bowling shirts and similar style shirts as well as the typical turn up jeans. Any advice on gifts I could get him this year?
I know this is personal to each person and I'll select as close as I can but I am at a loss and not wanting to repeat my gifts.
Doesn't have to be clothes, I've previously got him rockabilly radio merch. Any and all ideas welcome!
P.s. Im UK based!
There are two kinds of rockabillies, the authentic 1950s looking ones and the full beard and tattoo ones.
But I was always wondering why the beards and tattoos are such a thing in, since well it is not 1950s, people back then would have thought some one with a tattoo came straight out of prison and beards well most men were clean shaven or atleast only wore a mustache/side burns. And when say most, I really mean MOST, it even was the norm, quite similar to the 18th century.
So what is actaully the reason for that phenomenon in the scene?
Who's heading out to see Nekromantix THIS SUNDAY at Brick by Brick? Doors open at 7PM, see you there!
Fun night
Holy shit, guys. I ended up at this show on Wolfe Islanylast night and was blown away. Had never heard of these guys out of Peterborough, Ontario. If they’re playing anywhere near you, you simply must go. Probably the best rockabilly guitar guitar player I’ve heard live. And apparently he’s only 20 years old.
I'm visiting San Francisco next May - flying in there from Australia, first time in 30 years!
I'm looking for clothing stores with mens rockabilly threads (or an assortment of related stuff). The exchange rate is a killer, but even more so is the delivery costs and duty when ordering from home.
I won't have transport but I'm pretty bloody keen, so if you know of any stores in our around SFO... please add them here!
Thanks!

Cant find it online.
After a day of disappointing thrifting I found this little gem just as I was about to call it a day.
As far as I can tell, the record is the original 1960 Terre Haute pressing, but the sleeve is from a secondary run from that same year. Perhaps they got swapped in the many years it's been changing hands.
Gave it a spin last night, and despite some surface scratches, it played great!
