At the beginning of his career, Roy Orbison was on Sun for a couple of years (1956-58). Ooby Dooby hit #59 on Billboard.
My favorite Buddy Holly song is one of the very last he wrote. One of the "apartment demos" he made in early 1959, after his death, Norman Petty added backing to the acoustic track Buddy recorded prior to the Winter Dance Party tour. https://youtu.be/BOnmxTT8Dsc?si=qYuczS-xDAp06bV9

I would like to hear some songs about being on the verge of starting a relationship. Songs about the anxieties of finally asking and the relief of doing so, songs about entering into a relationship with a good friend, and other similar topics. Thanks for any suggestions!
Some nice rockabilly for your weekend.
I recently came across a old popsike link that I would love to add to my digital archive of all still surviving recordings of Buddy Holly. This is piece of rock n' roll history that was never digitally archived and was auctioned in 2007. I'm curious if anyone knows the private collector this went too or if anyone possibly has a recording of this super rare record of the four that were ever made.
